STUDENTS’ INSIGHT OF THE DIRECT METHOD IMPLEMENTATION IN IMPROVING THEIR ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
Every student gets the same number of learning chances in the process; however, the results vary from one student to another. Several reasons cause this. The most common are the educational background and environment. This study aimed to understand the students’ views of the Direct Method implementation in English learning English for Specific Purposes Students (ESP). The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, where the sample is taken from Computer Science Students Universitas Duta Bangsa Surakarta. In this study, data collection techniques are through observation and interviews. The observations were done for six meetings through the teaching-learning process. The interviews were done individually. The Direct Method is a traditional method that follows the belief that language is a set of habits. Thus, implementing this method generates various student responses, positively or negatively. However, the students agreed that the method motivates them to do more for their English skills
Kajian Dampak Penerapan Integrasi Teknologi terhadap Kompetensi Profesional Guru dalam Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran dengan Kurikulum Merdeka
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya dampak yang diberikan oleh penerapan integrasi teknologi terhadap kompetensi profesional guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang diterapkan dalam kurikulum Merdeka. Dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, pendidik diberikan kebebesan untuk memilih dan menciptakan pembelajaran berkualitas yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan lingkungan belajar peserta didik karena kurikulum Merdeka dikembangkan sebagai kerangka yang lebih fleksibel dan sesuai dengan karakter dan kompetensi peserta didik. Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi memengaruhi banyak aspek dalam kehidupan manusia, baik dalam bidang ekonomi, politik, kesehatan, sampai dengan pendidikan. Di perkembangan teknologi yang ada di masa ini, secara tidak langsung guru dituntut untuk dapat menggunakan teknologi dalam penyusunan dan penyampaian materi/kompetensi yang diajarkan kepada peserta didik. Hal ini selaras dengan salah satu kompetensi profesional guru dimana guru diharapkan dapat menggunakan teknologi dalam berkomunikasi dan melakukan pengembangan diri. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan systematic literature review, dimana metode ini merupakan jenis peninjauan literasi dengan metode sistematis yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengumpulkan data sekunder berupa karya ilmiah, jurnal, dan sumber lain yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu adanya pengaruh positif yang diterima oleh guru setelah menerapkan integrasi teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran, diantaranya adanya perkembangan pemahaman guru mengenai integrasi teknologi, guru dapat menyajikan pembelajaran yang lebih dan dapat memfasilitasi kolaborasi dan pertukaran pengetahuan antar guru, adanya perkembangan karir dan peningkatan kemampuan guru untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, memudahkan guru untuk belajar tanpa mengenal waktu dan tempat, adanya peningkatan kepercayaan diri dan kreatifitas dalam menyajikan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di kelas dan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi mereka sebagai guru yang profesional
Inovasi Flipbook Berbasis Multimodal Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Dan Diversifikasi Media Pembelajaran Di Sekolah Dasar
The literacy issue in Indonesia reveals a significant deficiency, with a reading index of only 0.001 according to UNESCO and a ranking of 60th out of 61 countries in reading culture, as reported by WMLN 2016. Low literacy rates among children negatively impact their cognitive development and learning abilities. Studies from PISA 2018 and EGRA indicate that many early-grade students struggle to comprehend reading materials, a situation comparable to stunting in health. This research explores multimodal flipbooks as an innovative solution to enhance literacy and diversify learning media in elementary schools. By integrating text, images, audio, and video, these flipbooks offer an interactive and engaging learning experience. A conceptual qualitative method was employed to analyze the needs and potential for developing teaching materials through this innovative concept. The results demonstrate that multimodal flipbooks are effective in improving literacy and diversifying learning media, providing an attractive alternative to overcome the limitations of conventional media in elementary schools
PEMANFAATAN MEDIA MASSA DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PENERIMAAN SISWA BARU DI ERA GLOBALISASI
The use of mass media in the era of globalisation to assist educational institutions in increasing new student admissions. This study aims to examine the use of mass media in an effort to increase new student admissions in the era of globalisation. This research method is a descriptive method with a literature study approach or library research which involves searching for data about various things or variables from notes, books, papers, articles, journals, and others. This library research focuses on the use of mass media in an effort to increase new student admissions in the era of globalisation. The results of the literature study found that when mass media is used as a medium of promotion or marketing of the vision and mission and excellent programmes, the information will be widely spread in a short period of time compared to traditional or conventional promotion. After reviewing several studies that have been analysed, there are those that suggest that mass media is quite influential, especially in new student admissions, especially school websites are an important element that every institution must have. Therefore, in addition to using conventional methods, it turns out that educational institutions need to upgrade the marketing methods for new student admissions using modern methods through mass media, in order to increase the perfect new student admission target
Pengaruh Motivasi Belajar Siswa Terhadap Video Pembelajaran Menggunakan Canva pada Pembelajaran IPA kelas 7
Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) masih dianggap sulit dan kurang diminati siswa kelas 7 SMP. Salah satu cara untuk membantu siswa belajar IPA adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran. Canva merupakan salah satu media yang bisa mendesain media pelajaran sehingga pembelajaran IPA dapat dijelaskan dengan mudah oleh guru ke siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana motivasi belajar siswa berdampak pada video pembelajaran yang menggunakan canva dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas 7. Pendekatan Quasi Eksperimen adalah metode kuantitatif yang digunakan di mana peneliti melakukan survei dengan memberikan kuesioner terkait motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan google form sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan melibatkan semua siswa VII A dan VII D di SMPK Immanuel II Sungai Raya tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 60 orang. Uji normalitas dilakukan sebelum menguji data. Uji MannWhitney U digunakan karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Berdasarkan uji statistik yang dilakukan mendapatkan nilai p-value lebih kecil dari 0,05, hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara dua kelompok yang diuji yaitu kelas 7A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas 7D sebagai kelas eksperimen dalam hal skor motivasi setelah dilakukan perlakuan. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa video pembelajaran aplikasi canva dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA
STUDI TENTANG ANAK HIPERAKTIF PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS 5 DI SD NEGERI 52 PONTIANAK TAHUN 2022
The purpose of this study was to identify and describe hyperactive students in grade 5 at SD Negeri 52 Pontianak. Hyperactive children are an increase in children's motor activity to a certain level and cause behavioral disturbances that occur in two different places and situations. The subjects in this study were three students. Thisresearch is an intrinsic case study research. Data were colleced by in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data was analyzed by an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The research findings shaved that, the characteristics of hyperactive children are seen from their characteristics. namely hyperactivity, excessive activity, disturbed feeling of confusion, impulsivity and exitability. Factors causing students to become hyperactive are parenting styles and the environment. there factors impact students social interaction in school environment, friendship, problem solving and decreased academic grades. The teacher's role in guiding hyperactive children is to monitor student development by working closely with teachers in other fields of study, classroom teachers and parents
PERISTILAHAN TATA BOGA TRADISIONAL DALAM MASYARAKAT DAYAK KANAYATN
This study aims to describe the form of terminology, describe the meaning of terminology and produce a form of implementation Indonesian language learning based on traditional Dayak Kanayatn cuisine. The method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative form. The data sources in this study were native speakers of the Kanayatn Dayak tribe and the research data were traditional food and beverages. Data collection techniques are interview techniques and direct observation techniques. This research produced 79 data on culinary terminology in the Kanayatn Dayak community consisting of 18 data on staple food terms, 7 data on beverage terms, 6 data on snack terms, 18 data on ingredients, 9 data on how to make, 9 tools. 18 and 21 general terms, 51 special terms. There are 49 data for monomorphemic terminology, 8 data for polymorphemic terms, and 22 data for phrases. The meaning contained in the traditional culinary terminology of the Dayak Kanayatn community is based on 55 data of lexical meaning, 8 data of grammatical meaning, and 5 data of cultural meaning. The form of Indonesian learning texts based on traditional culinary terminology in the Kanayatn Dayak community produces learning texts, namely procedural texts
ANALISIS PELAFALAN MELALUI MEDIA DUBBING PADA MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN BAHASA MANDARIN ANGKATAN 2021 FKIP UNTAN
This research aims to investigate pronunciation issues faced by students when learning Mandarin and to evaluate and understand the impact of the video dubbing media learning method on pronunciation. Through recording and testing methods, the author found that most students experience pronunciation problems and a lack of confidence when embodying characters in videos. This is particularly evident in mispronouncing the second tone as the fourth tone and the first tone as the third tone, with students struggling to express the emotions conveyed by characters in the videos. Additionally, there are issues with the pronunciation of initial consonants. Through a questionnaire survey, the author also discovered that the majority of students believe that the video dubbing media learning method can help them practice Mandarin better, remember Mandarin characters, improve pronunciation standards, make learning more interesting, and boost their confidence. In conclusion, students consider the video dubbing media learning method as an engaging and effective tool in enhancing their Mandarin pronunciation and daily language usage skills
ANALISIS KEPUASAN PELANGGAN TERHADAP LAYANAN PDAM TIRTA KHATULISTIWA PONTIANAK (Studi Kasus: Keluhan Para Pelanggan PDAM Tentang Kebutuhan Air Bersih Di Gang Harapan Kecamatan Pontianak Barat)
The drinking water company is one of the companies that produces water services for the community, but in providing services to the community there are still many problems including the water quality which is said to be good. This study aims to determine how the quality of service and the efforts made by PDAM Tirta Khatulistiwa Pontianak. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. This research uses random sampling technique. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the services provided by PDAM Tirta Khatulistiwa Pontianak cannot be said to be good because of the low water quality and responsiveness in responding to customer complaints. The problems that exist in PDAM Tirta Khatulistiwa Pontianak include the distribution of smelly water, where these problems become public complaints in the services of PDAM Tirta Khatulistiwa Pontianak. Therefore, in overcoming the problem of cloudy and mixed water distribution, PDAM Tirta Khatulistiwa Pontianak officers carry out supervision, routine checks correctly and evenly, thus creating good service quality
ALIH KODE DAN CAMPUR KODE DALAM TRANSAKSI JUAL BELI DI PASAR TRADISIONAL TOHO
This study aims to describe the code switching and code mixing contained in buying and selling transactions in the Toho Traditional Market, based on the type and cause of their occurrence. The benefit of this research is to add insight into code switching and code mixing in buying and selling transactions at the Toho Traditional Market. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The form of this research is a form of qualitative research. Collecting data in this study using tapping techniques and recording techniques, and observation technique. Wiretapping is done with the help of a recording device in the form of a cellphone. Techniques to test the validity of the data in this study are observation persistence, triangulation, and peer discussion. Based on the analysis of the research data, it concludes that there are 24 types of code switching data in the form of. 17 internal data or internal code switching. It is divided into two namely 12 permanent code switching and 5 temporary code switching. 7 data code mixing into or inner code mixing 7 is divided into 5 forms of words, and 2 in the form of phrases. The factors that cause code switching are 11 speaker data factors, and 5 listener or speech partner data factors. Factors that cause code mixing occur, namely there are 5 factors of temporary personal and speaker data, and 2 factors of environmental data or ongoing interactions
