Audiovisual creative processes for the inclusion of sexual and gender diversity in initial teacher education
Sexual and gender diversity still does not appear in initial teacher education in a generalised way. Not including these issues in teacher education contributes to perpetuating a school that does not address sexual and gender diversity, facilitating teacher inaction in the face of homophobia and transphobia because they do not have the resources to provide an educational response. In view of this, it is urgent to design and implement strategies that contribute to the training of teachers to be able to discuss these issues in their classrooms as part of their teaching activities. Music education provides a space to work on these issues through the interaction of sound and visual language. In this way, it provides an opportunity for trainee teachers to experience the development of audiovisual creation as a strategy for the inclusion of sexual and gender diversity in schools. Through qualitative research, the themes that emerged in the audiovisual productions and in the reflections elaborated by the students after the creation process are discussed. The results show the opportunity offered by audiovisual creation from a critical approach in teacher education to learn and deepen about gender diversity, to make visible and raise awareness in the community about its non-inclusion in the classroom; as well as the relevance of music education to reflect on issues of social justice for the transformation of the context through musical experience at school

This paper analyses the curriculum relating to continuing professional development of teachers in Andalusia, Southern Spain, focusing on what we define as ‘the social problems of secondary school students’. This training is offered to secondary school teachers by the Andalusian educational system. We understand the term ‘continuing teacher professional development’ as the training given to secondary school teachers during the course of their professional teaching career. This includes all the training activities involved in the preparation of teachers for scientific, technical, didactic and professional areas throughout their working life.
Methods. An exhaustive analysis of the 32 Teacher Centres within the Andalusian public education system was carried out. The Teacher Centres are the bodies responsible for providing continuing professional development on broad and diverse subjects to practising teachers during their professional careers. This research was undertaken during the 2018/202 academic year. The data collection followed the technique of documentary analysis of secondary sources, in this case the websites of the 32 Andalusian Teacher Centres.
Results. Only 96 of the 1,142 activities training for teachers are used to work on specific structural and generational social problems of secondary school students in Andalusia.
Conclusion. The results of this research show that the content of the training is insufficient to address and work on the social problems of Andalusian students

GPTBot Development for Translation Purposes: Flowchart, Practical Case and Future Prospects
This paper explores the development and evaluation of a GPTBot tailored for institutional translation tasks. It addresses a gap in applied research on how generative AI can be adapted for domain-specific translation workflows, particularly in academic institutions. The aim of this work is to design and implement UGRBot, a chatbot based on ChatGPT-4 that supports the translation of institutional texts at the University of Granada (UGR) while also outlining a structured and replicable methodology for creating specialised chatbots to enhance translation processes. The methodology includes: (1) chatbot development using a knowledge base of 57 bilingual institutional documents; (2) evaluation of output quality using BLEU scores, comparing UGRBot with DeepL and Google Translate; and (3) a focused assessment on the translation of 100 institutional terms. A reference corpus in English of 14,521 words was compiled from UGR administrative and regulatory documents, with human translations serving as the benchmark. BLEU scores were computed using the Natural Language Toolkit library in Python, employing 4-gram analysis for full-text evaluation and bigram analysis for terminology translation. Results show that UGRBot outperformed both baseline systems in the translation of specialised institutional terminology, achieving the highest BLEU score in this area. However, limitations include lower performance across full-length texts. In conclusion, this research documents the development of a domain-specific GPTBot and its implementation in an institutional context, offering a transferable framework for integrating generative AI into specialised translation workflows

On the disagreement problem in Human-in-the-Loop federated machine learning
The popularity of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has risen sharply in recent years, revolutionizing applications in
most sectors with unprecedented functionalities. Milestones and achievements like ChatGPT demonstrate not
only the impressive capabilities of AI, but also how accessible such technologies have become in recent times.
However, the success of AI applications depends heavily on the underlying information integration processes.
Among the most important processes are the training of the AI model at the core of the application and
the collection and pre-processing of training data. In particular, the task of collecting high-quality training
data can be very costly and resource-intensive, as in many cases large amounts of data have to be annotated
manually. Human annotators must have extensive expertise for certain tasks in order to provide high-quality
training data. In this paper, we present a framework to maximize the efficiency of human experts in a Machine
Learning (ML) scenario, with the aim of optimizing the use of human expertise in active learning. This is done
by constantly measuring the quality of human experts’ input, as well as by involving human annotators only
when needed. We showcase the benefits of our proposed framework by applying it to a problem in image
classification, proving its usefulness to reduce the cost of annotating training data. The source code of the
framework is publicly available at https://github.com/human-centered-ai-lab/app-HITL-annotator.Austrian Science Fund
