Selected Aspects of Foster Care Systems in Poland and Germany
No full textThis article compares the foster care systems in Poland and Germany, particularly focusing on the moment when young people are prepared to leave the support system and live an independent adult life. The data was collected as part of the work of an international project team in Poland and Germany in the framework of a joint research project, and included an analysis of foundational data (systematic textual analysis and secondary data analysis). An important part of the article is an analysis of the reforms of the foster care system in both countries. In Germany the reform was implemented in 2021 and in Poland the relevant law was changed in September 2022. The result is a comparison of the support systems Poland and Germany offer care leavers and a preliminary assessment of the reforms recently introduced in both countries

No full textDie Broschüre soll ein Ratgeber und Handbuch für Interessierte sein, die in einem Mehrgenerationenwohnprojekt leben wollen. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Gruppenprozesse sowie die Herausforderungen der Selbstorganisation von Gemeinschaften. Auch für bereits bestehende Wohnprojekte kann die Broschüre Hilfestellungen und Entwicklungsanstöße liefern. Eine lebendige Hausgemeinschaft mit funktionierenden Projektstrukturen und einer unterstützenden Praxis erfordert kontinuierliches Hinterfragen und Aushandeln des gemeinsamen Zusammenlebens, der Selbstorganisation, aber auch zukünftiger Entwicklungsperspektiven. Diese Broschüre will hierzu vielfältige Anregungen geben. Sie ist das Ergebnis eines dreijährigen Praxisforschungsprojekts zu Gemeinschaft und Mehrgenerationalität in und mit selbstorganisierten Wohnprojekten an der Fachhochschule Potsdam

No full textRoads overpassing highways or speedways are rather a common case, as such bridges occur in average every 2 km of highways in densely populated areas. Due to the high number and similar boundary conditions, the design and realization tends to be standardized and repetitive. The total length ranges mostly between 40 and 55 m, whereas the construction height is a limiting factor since minimumclearance heights must be guaranteed both for safety as well as for driving comfort. Due to these reasons, highway overpasses have been a field of application where steel-framed composite decks have proventheir efficiency for this task. Starting from Germany, the VFT technology (prefabricated composite beam) has spread in several European countries in the last decades as further development of the standard steel-concrete composite solution. Its configuration fits perfectly to integral frame bridges built over existing infrastructure with the scope to minimize the traffic disturbance. In this paper a further step is proposed: the VFT-RS technology. The change consists in using standard rolled sections by adapting them into the integral frame bridge configuration, further enhancing the structural efficiency with the benefits of high-steel strength. The possibility of weathering steel or hot-dip galvanization create the unique offer of a maintenance-free solution

No full textMein Beitrag wird vornehmlich von den veränderten Bedingungen der Fotografie durch digitale Produktionsweisen handeln. Veranschaulicht werden diese am Beispiel des Musikvideos bzw. des Musikclips, der mir in besonderer Weise geeignet scheint, die Veränderungen im Gebrauch und dem Einsatz von Fotografie in einem populären – postfotografischen – digitalen Kontext zu veranschaulichen. Ich werde zunächst durch einige Beispiele, die schlaglichtartig die Verwendung der Fotografie im Musikvideo illustrieren, zeigen, dass Fotografie seit den ersten Versuchen des Genres ein wesentliches Mittel bzw. auch eine Praxis für die Gestaltung von Musikclips ist und war
