Die deutsch-dänischen Archivbeziehungen im Nachklang des Versailler Vertrags
Full text linkDer vorliegende Band versammelt die Beiträge der Tagung „Weimars (un)getreue Archivare?“, die am 26. und 27. November 2020 als gemeinsame Tagung der Universität Hamburg und des Staatsarchivs Hamburg stattfand.
Archivgeschichte wird in der Weimarer Republik oft von ihrem Ende her, von den persönlichen Kontinuitäten und Diskontinuitäten nach 1933, gedacht. Im vorliegenden Band wird die Zäsurerfahrung 1918/19, die das Ende des wilhelminischen Kaiserreiches markierte, ins Zentrum der Diskussion gestellt. Welche theoretischen, methodischen und personalpolitischen Einschnitte im Archivwesen gingen mit der politischen Neukonfigurierung unter föderalen und republikanischen Vorzeichen einher? Aufgezeigt wird die Heterogenität der staatlichen und nichtstaatlichen Archivlandschaft im Kaiserreich wie auch in der Weimarer Republik. Diese blieb in ihrer Komplexität erhalten und war – in Weimar – von Konflikten gekennzeichnet, in deren Zentrum nicht selten die archivalische Überlieferung selbst stand.
Die Beiträge verfolgen daher weniger das Ziel zu erklären, wie aus Weimars Archivaren Nationalsozialisten oder Gegner des Nationalsozialismus wurden; stattdessen spüren sie ausgehend von den zentralen oft mannigfaltig verbundenen Akteuren der Reaktion von Archivaren auf den „Systemwechsel” 1918/19 und ihrer gesellschaftlichen Positionssuche in der Weimarer Republik nach.This volume brings together the contributions to the conference "Weimars (un)getreue Archivare?, which took place on November 26 and 27, 2020 as a joint conference of the University of Hamburg and the Hamburg State Archives.

Full text linkTraducir representa el anhelo primario del hombre de reivindicar la diferencia y, a la vez, tender puentes hacia la alteridad. Ahora bien ¿qué ocurre, cuando lo otro ‒el texto fuente‒ es, a su vez, punto de confluencia de otras alteridades, cuando lo otro se presenta como realidad coral que desestabiliza cualquier intento de transferencia reductiva, normalizadora, monológica?Como ejemplo de un texto que destaca por su naturaleza dialógica (en el sentido bajtiniano del término), nos serviremos de un breve pasaje procedente de El amante bilingüe (1991) de Juan Marsé para abordar los modos de representación, asimilación y transferencia de la diferencia cultural a través de la traducción. Más allá del examen meramente lingüístico o estilístico, el interés en la exploración del dialogismo reside en que la coexistencia e interferencia de diversas voces refleja una colisión (ética, estética, política, …).Trataremos de indagar los desafíos a los que se enfrenta la traducción a la hora de abordar la dificultad que conlleva no solo el detectar la presencia de las estrategias del dialogismo y de definir sus dimensiones semióticas, sino también el verter las voces y estilos ajenos presentes en el texto fuente a la lengua de destino. Nuestras reflexiones no solo corroborarán el papel de la traducción como vehículo de transferencia y transformación cultural, sino que nos obligarán a reconsiderar los límites y matices de la oposición identidad vs. diferencia ‒tanto lingüística como cultural.Translating represents man\u27s primary yearning to vindicate difference and, at the same time, to build bridges towards otherness. But what happens when the other ‒ the source text ‒ is, in turn, the point of confluence of other alterities, when the other presents itself as a choral reality that destabilizes any attempt at reductive, standardizing, monological transference?As an example of a text that stands out for its dialogical nature (in the Bakhtinian sense of the term), we will use a short passage from El amante bilingüe (1991) by Juan Marsé to address the modes of representation, assimilation and transference of cultural difference through translation. Beyond a merely linguistic or stylistic examination, the interest in exploring dialogism lies in the fact that the coexistence and interference of diverse voices reflects a (political, ethical, aesthetic, ...) collision.This paper aims to explore the challenges faced by translation in dealing with the difficulty of not only detecting the presence of dialogical strategies and defining their semiotic dimensions, but also of translating the foreign voices and styles present in the source text into the target language. Our reflections will not only corroborate the role of translation as a vehicle of cultural transfer and transformation, but will also force us to reconsider the limits and nuances of the opposition identity vs. difference ‒ both linguistic and cultural

Full text linkEl objeto de transferencia determina las dinámicas de un proceso que desemboca en la transformación y, por ello, es necesario cuestionar siempre de nuevo la validez y aplicabilidad de las herramientas teórico-metodológicas ya existentes. Con el telón de fondo de una comprensión de la transferencia cultural como proceso polidireccional y de traducción, se examinarán los retos que de ello se derivan en lo que respecta a las culturas hispanohablantes. El formato elegido en este volumen para presentar los resultados de nuestro trabajo tiene como objetivo por una parte representar el intercambio dinámico de los y las contribuyentes y, por otro, de animar a que se continúe reflexionando sobre los conceptos teórico-metodológicos relevantes para describir procesos de transferencia cultural.The object of any kind of transfer determines the dynamics of a process that leads to transformation. Therefore the validity and applicability of existing theoretical and methodological tools must be questioned constantly. Cultural transfer can be seen as a polydirectional and translational process and the challenges arising from this will be examined with regard to Spanish-speaking cultures. The format chosen in this volume aims to represent the dynamic exchange of the contributors and to encourage further reflection on the theoretical and methodological concepts relevant for describing processes of cultural transfer

Subgénero del crimen perfecto como problema diferencial
Full text linkA pesar de tener rasgos relativamente constantes como una estructura narrativa iterativa, un estilo persuasivo, y motivos como el crimen y la justicia, el subgénero de las narrativas del crimen perfecto es fundamentalmente elusivo porque gira en torno a un problema metaficcional: ¿cómo narrar la perfección? Para responder a esta pregunta, cada actualización del género explora un subtema y echa mano de estrategias narrativas previas. Esto permite postular una genealogía y, al mismo tiempo, significa que el subgénero es propenso a crear variaciones transformativas. El subgénero se expande hacia subtemas y crea una constelación gracias a las similitudes temáticas y estructurales de sus variaciones, pero tiende al mismo tiempo por su fuerza centrípeta hacia la disolución. El género se esconde entonces entre variaciones, se apropia de estrategias de representación narrativa y se va desvaneciendo entre sus variaciones. Esta dinámica dispersiva de circulación invita a discutir el esquema trascendental, que parte de una idea de continuación para entender los géneros literarios y el campo de la representación narrativa, y a pensar un subgénero como sitio metaestable. Para dar cuerpo a estas reflexiones teóricas y reconstruir el subgénero, recurriré a textos de O. Wilde, L. Perutz, J. L. Borges, S. Pitol, R. Rey Rosa y R. Bolaño, entre otros.Despite having relatively constant features, such as an iterative narrative structure, a persuasive style, and motifs like crime and justice, perfect crime narratives are fundamentally elusive, because they hinge on a metafictional problem: how can one narrate perfection? Each actualization of the subgenre advances a particular answer and explores a specific topic by resorting to narrative strategies that were handed down. This dialogue with tradition allows us to postulate a genealogy, but the subgenre also fosters transformative variations. It is expansive and allows to posit a constellation thanks to the many variations of the same problem, but, at the same time, its centripetal force pushes the subgenre towards dissolution. Hence, the subgenre hides among variations, appropriates strategies for narrative representation, and vanishes among its variations. This scattering dynamic invites us to challenge the transcendental schema, that thinks in terms of continuation the literary subgenres and the field of narrative representation, and, instead, approach a subgenre as a metastable site. To flesh out these theoretical reflections and reconstruct the subgenre, I will resort to stories by O. Wilde, L. Perutz, J.L. Borges, S. Pitol, R. Rey Rosa and R. Bolaño, among others
