    International audienceIn this work we designed and evaluated a new series of coumarin–isoxazole hybrids with the aim of combining their individual biological attributes into one single chemical structure. All newly synthesized derivatives 3a-g were evaluated for their antioxidant activity using the CUPRAC method and tested for their in vitro anticholinesterase activity. The results showed that the synthesized compounds 3b,3c and 3f display significant antioxidant activity. Moreover, the coumarin-isoxazoles showed promising AChE inhibitory potential, making them valuable candidates for further investigations in the context of neurodegenerative disorders. Molecular modeling studies were conducted to dock the compounds into the Hsp90 protein, revealing a strong affinity for the active site. Additionally, physicochemical properties, drug-likeness, bioactivity scores, and Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity (ADMET) profiles were predicted. These assessments revealed that all compounds have favorable pharmacokinetic properties and were predicted to be non-carcinogenic

    International audienceObjective The purpose of this paper is to describe a study protocol of a clinical trial exploring the effectiveness of the new mobile application MyDéfi proposing personalized feedback, on both alcohol consumption and quality of life, as well as the blood alcohol exposure biomarker phosphatidylethanol, in university students displaying binge drinking behavior. Methods This prospective national multicentric randomized, two‐arm (1:1), double‐blind controlled trial will recruit 628 students (aged 18–25 years) with binge drinking behavior. Participants will be randomized in the “intervention” group (personalized feedback) or the “control” group (generic feedback) and will undergo four monthly visits. Monthly dried blood spot sample for measuring phosphatidylethanol concentration and online questionnaires will be collected. Our primary objective is to assess the reduction weekly standard drinks, through self‐report gathered via MyDéfi. Secondary objectives will evaluate the application's impact on the dosage of phosphatidylethanol blood concentration and on quality of life”. Results Recruitment started in March 2024 and will end in March 2026. Conclusion This study aims to determine the effectiveness of two versions of the same mobile application (generic vs. personalized feedback) on alcohol consumption in students displaying binge drinking behavior. The effectiveness of the application will be measured, with a secondary objective of quantifying phosphatidylethanol. Our study will open new perspectives on the use of digital interventions for students who do not actively seek treatment.     A two-step biocatalytic process to extract and to acylate anthocyanins: a sustainable approach for red grape pomace biorefining

    International audienceGrape pomace represents an abundant source of anthocyanins displaying coloring and health-promoting properties for food applications. At the industrial stage, the extraction of anthocyanins from grape pomace consumes solvents and/or sulfites, which are no longer desirable due to environmental issues and consumer demands. Furthermore, anthocyanins extracted from grape pomace are simple (non-acylated) O-glucosides lacking chemical stability. In this study, a two-step biocatalytic approach was developed to extract anthocyanins from grape pomace and esterify their glucosyl moiety. Different enzymes and conditions were compared for anthocyanin extraction. The highest amount of extracted anthocyanins was 1.44 g/kg fresh pomace after three sequential extraction steps with the enzyme Lysis Elite in water - ethanol (4:1). The purified anthocyanin extract was further acylated with N435 lipase in the presence of lauric acid or dihydroferulic acid, reaching acylation yields of 19.8 ± 0.7% and 8.5 ± 1.7%, respectively

    International audienceThe increasing integration of AI into computing workflows demands a re-evaluation of traditional operating system design. In environments like Debian, users are often faced with a vast ecosystem of command-line tools, each accompanied by extensive manual pages (man pages) detailing usage, flags, and parameters. While comprehensive, these documents are frequently dense, verbose, and not well-suited for rapid onboarding or targeted queries. We propose a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline to bridge this gap, enabling natural language interaction with system documentation. By combining tokenization, embedding, and dense retrieval with a language generation model, our system allows users to query tool usage in plain language and receive concise, contextually relevant responses. This approach streamlines tool discovery and comprehension, and represents a step toward more intelligent, user-aware operating systems
