Muscle injuries are common in sports that involve high-speed movements such as athletics, rugby, basketball, soccer and American football, as well as in ballet. Hamstrings are a complex muscle group consisting of four muscles with different architecture and models of innervation. Weakness or stiffness of the hamstrings, reduced fascicle length, imbalance of activation between different parts of the muscle, neural inhibition and low strength ratio of the hamstrings and quadriceps are major risk factors that can lead to injury to some structures of the hip, knee and hamstring muscles. Most hamstring injuries are of moderate severity (54%), with the athlete losing an average of 17 days in training / sports. However, 15% of hamstrings injuries are more severe injuries, usually requiring a longer rehabilitation period (> 28 days outside of training / sports). Eccentric training programs applied to hamstrings are very important in terms of prevention and rehabilitation after injury to most lower extremity muscles because sports injuries usually occur in the eccentric phase of activity. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of eccentric training on eccentric strength and hamstring muscle fascicle length
INJURY PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION IN TOP FOOTBALL
Football is a dynamic game during which players run short and long sections at different speeds, changing the direction of movement, shooting and passing the ball and coming into contact with opposing players. In sports such as elite football, injuries in most cases affect the muscles and tissues of the lower extremities due to the greatest load. It is believed that the increase in injuries with the seasons is growing due to the increasing number of games, and thus insufficient recovery of players from the previous game. .Injuries of top athletes significantly affect the success in sports and injury prevention in the training process is very important. The most common injuries are due to overtraining, a large amount of fatigue and eating disorders. The most common injuries in top sports are sprains and ruptures. Players and coaches are not the only ones who need to be educated, and they are not the only ones on whom the occurrence of injuries depends. Judges are also important in injury prevention, and their actions could significantly contribute to reducing the number of injuries on the field. The procedures they could take are stricter enforcement of the rules, and modifying the rules to make football as safe a sport as possible. The aim of this thesis is to determine the ways in which injuries that have occurred during the practice of professional football can be successfully prevented and rehabilitated
FUNCTIONAL PROBLEMS OF ORGAN SYSTEMS IN CEREBRAL PALSY
Osim živčanog i mišićno-koštanog sustava, često dolazi i do zahvaćenosti respiratornog, kardiovaskularnog, gastrointestinalnog i urogenitalnog sustava. Cerebral palsy is a condition characterized by a movement and position disorder resulting from a damage to the immature brain. There are many factors that lead to brain damage and cerebral palsy, with prematurity and perinatal asphyxia being considered the most common. It is important to emphasize that the consequences of damage do not only affect the motor function and the musculoskeletal system, but also a number of other related health problems that make the clinical picture even more difficult and complicated. In addition to the nervous and musculoskeletal system, the respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and urogenital systems are often affected. The sensory organ system is also affected, which is why most people with cerebral palsy have some kind of sensory dysfunction. Respiratory problems, which have a significant impact on the quality of life and life expectancy, are the most common cause of death in this condition. Involvement of each of these systems causes different functional problems that people with CP face. Functional problems are manifested by difficulties in starting and performing activities of daily life such as feeding and dressing, up to difficulties in communication and socialization. Also, cognitive processes such as attention, memory and perception are often compromised which is why it is important to emphasize that cerebral palsy is not only a medical, but also a psychological and social problem
FAMILY MEDIATION
The subject of this final thesis is family mediation, which can be defined as one of the methots of solving disputed issues and problems between family members with the help od family mediator. A family mediator is a neutral, specially trained person who is registered in the Register of Family Mediators. In addition to the family mediator, participant sin family mediation can also be spouses or common- law partners, as well as children and other family members, depending on the type of family dispute. As a procedure, family mediation is focused on the active participation od the participant in the agreement and consideration od their own needs and interest in order to reach an agreement and find a solution that would be acceptable to all participant sin the agreement. Family mediation, according to the provisions of the Family Law from 2015, emphasizes three principles, namely: the principle of voluntariness, the principle od confidentiality and the principle of impartiality of the family mediator. All the principles od family mediation enable the participants of the procedure to have complete control over the decision- making, that is, complete freedom to decide on their participation in the procedure, and at any moment, any od the participants can be excluded from the family mediation procedure. Family mediation is initiated at the request of the party, except in the case when the parents failed to reach and agreement on joint parental care in the divorce proceedings, when the first meeting of family mediation is mandatory. Family mediation ends with the adoption of the joint parental care plan or other agreements between the parties to the proceedings
QUALITY OF LIFE PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, autoimmune disease characterized by an inflammatory response in the connective tissue of joints and bones, as well as internal organs. The disease is believed to be caused by an unknown factor, and genetic predisposition, an abnormal autoimmune response, or a viral or bacterial infection are considered to be the "trigger" for the disease. The primary process begins in the synovium, which is caused by constant inflammation, and as the disease progresses, cartilage and bone are destroyed, which leads to permanent changes in the joint. Because of this, the joints become less flexible and mobile and characteristic arthritic deformities appear, which negatively affects the patient's ability to work and quality of life. If the disease is not treated, the increasingly mutilated and destroyed bones will take on a different appearance and experience a complete loss of function. Kinesitherapy (medical exercises) and methods of physical therapy aimed at preserving the functional capacity of patients also play an important role in treatment. The aim of this study was to examine the quality of life of people with rheumatoid arthritis by collecting data on age, sex, and current disease status based on data obtained through anonymous questionnaires filled out by patients coming to the Reference Center for Rheumatology of the Daily Hospital Zagreb
ROLE OF LOCAL SELF- GOVERNMENT IN PLANNING AND PROMOTING EDUCATION ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE TOWN OF OSIJEK
Today's education system does not focus on the subject of education in a way that the system is adapted to the individual, but an individual is expected to adapt to the system. When carrying out an educational process it is necessary to develop the awareness of the responsibility of any participant in the process itself, and the outcome or the "goal" of the process itself must be noble and humane. When implementing the program, emphasis should be placed on the individuality of the needs, abilities and affinities of the subject of education, and the position on which the person responsible for transferring knowledge lies, must not be misused. The notion of authority itself must not be defined as 'power' in the context of superiority and of greater importance than the other 'being'. The purpose of education and upbringing should include altruistic motives for those who are educated, and the process itself should be fulfilled by mutual respect and appreciation. Throughout the process, each person should be able to express their own opinion without fear or shame of mockery or condemnation, with the emphasis on the development of critical thinking of anindividual, and every person responsible for knowledge transfer must be aware of the consequences that may arise if the position of these people is used for the wrong reasons and in the wrong way. Local self – government in its self – rule area performs activities of local importance directly fulfilling the needs of citizens, especially those related to settlement planning and housing, physical and urban planning, utility activities, childcare, social welfare, primary health care, education etc
QUALITY OF LIFE PATIENTS WITH OSTEOPOROSIS
Osteoporoza je progresivna metabolička koštana bolest koju karakterizira gubitak koštane gustoće i mase zbog čega kosti postaju porozne i sklone prijelomima. Osteoporosis is a progressive metabolic bone disease characterized by loss of bone density and mass, which makes bones porous and prone to fractures. It is a disease that has gained momentum nowadays due to increased life expectancy and a sedentary lifestyle. It is classified as a primary form that occurs due to the reduced function of seks hormones, which is why it mostly affects postmenopausal women and a secondary form that occurs as a result of the physiological aging process. It is often referred to as the ''silent thief'' because symptoms appear already at an advanced stage of the disease, although it can last years earlier. The first and worst indicator of the disease is a bone fracture. Fractures most often occur in the neck of the femur, spine and wrist. Osteoporosis is most often not diagnosed on purpose, but upon arrival for an examination due to a fracture or chronic back pain. Densitometry is the gold standard for diagnosing and monitoring the course of the disease. In order to maintain the quality of life, physiotherapy is omnipresent in the patient's life in the form of education and counseling the patient about healthy lifestyle habits, food rich in calcium and vitamin D, medicines, and all the benefits od physical activity in the fight against the disease. The therapy plan and program are designed together with the patient because only a clearly defined goal is sufficient motivation to take control of the disease, prevent falls, and achieve independence. A holistic approach by health professionals and the support and help of the family is urgently needed, as it has been proven that people who have the support of their loved ones recover much faster from a chronic illnes than those who experience it alone
PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES IN THE TREATMENT OF N.FACIALIS PARESIS
The nervous system consists of the central nervous system, which consists of the bran and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system, which consists of nerves that connect the brain and spinal cord to all parts of the body. The seventh cranial nerve, nervus facialis, is the motor nerve of the facial muscles. It contains motor, sensory and parasympathetic fibers, so its disturbance leads to weakness of the mimic muscles. The lesion can be peripheral or central. Peripheral paralysis, also called Bell's palsy, is the most common cause of the unilateral facial paralysis. Facial palsy can occour at any age, but is somewhat more common in people aged 20 to 50. Its etiology is unsolved, but patients often report that before the paralysis they were exposed to a draft next to an open window in a car or train. With the help of a physiotherapy assessment, the presence of facial palsy can be diagnosed and what type of paresis it is. The most common tests used are the House-Brackmann scale and the Sunnybrook scale, and test such as the corneal test and the Schirmer test are also used. Therapy can be a combination of medication therapy and physical therapy. Corticosteroid drugs are generally considered the first line of treatment for facial palsy, initially given in high doses and then gradually reduced. They help to reduce facial nerve edema. They give the best results when treatment begins within 72 hours of the onset of symptoms. Physiotherapy procedures consists of a number of techniques and procedures such as: electrostimulation, galvanization, laser theraphy, biofeedback, therapeutic exercises, acupuncture, massage etc... Dysfunction of the facial nerve can seriously affect the quality of the patient's daily life because the face is the centar of communication and expression, and facial hemiparesis results in functionl and cosmetic damage
MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES IN BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS
One of the main goals for every business organization is to employ highly qualified human resources that will contribute to the work and realization of their business objectives. For the employees to contribute to business success, it is essential that they are constantly monitored and motivated. The subject of the final thesis is motivation of the employees in business organizations, and the aim of the project is to point out the importance and the various ways of motivating the employees in the workplace. Managers are responsible for the employees' motivation. Bearing in mind that every employee is an individual, managers should find out what motivates every one of them, and consequently implement the most appropriate method. Motivating the employees is a complicated procedure, but if done correctly, their contribution to the work of business organization makes the difference between successful and unsuccessful companies. In the papers not only will the theoretical approach of the up-to-date research be covered, but also the results of the research considering the motivation of the employees in business organizations. The aim of the research is to find out to what extent are the employees satisfied in their workplace, and what motivates them there; the answers have shown that the employees either feel motivated or are not sure about their level of motivation in their workplace. Different employees are motivated in different ways and most of the employees are not satisfied with the reward system in the business organization where they work
PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
Glavni uzrok multiple skleroze nije poznat. Bolest je rezultat međudjelovanja više različitih čimbenika. Simptomi nastaju propadanjem mijelinske ovojnice u središnjem živčanom sustavu. Simptomi i tijek bolesti dovode do definitivne dijagnoze. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimune disease ot the central nervous system which is chatacterized by neurological manifestations. I´t occurs more often in women than in men. The main cause of this disease is uniknown. The disease is the result of the interaction of many different factors. Symptoms are caused by the deterioration of the myelin sheath in the central nervus sistem. Symptoms ahn the progression of the disease lead to a definitive diagnosis. Physioterapy plays an impotrant role in the tretmant of people suffering fro this disease. Before physioterapy treatmant, it is necessary to carry out an evaluation, deterine what the goals are and create a plan of therapy. Rehabilitation does not have a time limit, it requires a lot of sacrifice for both the physiotherapist and the patient. The goal of rehabilitation is to reduce the progression of the disease and improve the quality of life
