ZERO STOCK IN FUNCTION OF THE JUST IN TIME PROCUREMENT SYSTEM
Nabava i zalihe su ključni faktori uspjeha organizacije. Pravilno upravljanje ovim područjima omogućuje organizaciji kontinuitet proizvodnje, optimizaciju troškova, odgovor na fluktuacije potražnje i postizanje visoke kvalitete proizvoda. Održavanje stabilnih i pouzdanih dobavljača, efikasno planiranje zaliha, uporaba naprednih tehnologija i upravljanje rizicima ključni su elementi uspješnog upravljanja nabavom i zalihama. Procurement and inventory are key factors in the success of an organization. Proper management of these areas enables the organization to maintain production continuity, optimize costs, respond to fluctuations in demand and achieve high product quality. Maintaining stable and reliable suppliers, efficient inventory planning, use of advanced technologies and risk management are key elements of successful procurement and inventory management. One of the ways to do business is Zero stock, known as business without stock. It is a special form and function of the Just in time system, which is increasingly used in procurement. Such a system is not for everyone and not every organization can follow it due to its specificity. However, organizations that successfully manage these areas gain competitive advantages and achieve long-term market success
HONEY AS A MERCHANDISE
The subject of the paper is the analysis of honey as a food market commodity. The paper analyzes the honey market in the world, the European Union and the Republic of Croatia. Beekeeping is one of the most important branches of the European Union, which is the second largest producer of honey in the world, but also the largest importer. The import of honey in the European Union country has increased by 40% in the last decade. As for the Republic of Croatia, honey production has been in decline since 2015. The reasons for this can be found in climate changes and the high mortality of bees, as well as the increasingly difficult position of beekeepers. The Republic of Croatia belongs to the group of countries that produce from 5,000 to 10,000 t per year, while the largest producers of honey in Europe are Spain, Hungary and Germany, which produce more than 20,000 t per year. In Croatia, zero level distribution of honey from producers directly to consumers is the most common. Various studies that will be presented in the paper show that the country of origin and the quality of honey are most important to buyers, which is why it is not surprising that honey is still most often sold directly at farms, fairs, markets and the like. The paper analyzes the legal regulation of placing honey on the market and the standards of quality and labeling of products that must be respected by every producer in the territory of the European Union, which has regulated the market and production of honey with various Directives
PROTECTION OF CONSUMERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EUROPEAN MARKET LAW
On May 28, 2022, one of the more modern ones, the Consumer Protection Act (Official Gazette No. 19/2022), bravely entered the Croatian legal order. On June 25, 2023, it was upgraded with the new NN Law on Consumer Protection NN 59/23, which additionally regulates consumer protection through digitization, such as, for example, the storage of complaints about permanent media and the like. These Laws implement the mandatory Directive (EU) 2019/2161 of the European Parliament and the Council of November 27, 2019 amending Council Directive 93/13/EEC, Directive 98/6/EC, 2005/29/EC and 2011/83/ EU of the European Parliament and of the Council This Act transposes into Croatian legislation Directive (EU) 2020/1828 of the European Parliament and of the Council of November 25, 2020 on representative actions for the protection of collective interests of consumers in the pursuit of more effective and uniform execution and modernization of Union rules on the protection consumer ("EU Directive") into a domestic legal source.. It is a modern European dynamic law of all member states, because only a well-informed consumer has the power to effectively protect himself, and given the openness of the European market, timely protection and imposition of rights and obligations both the consumer and the trader, significantly narrows down further disputes and dissatisfaction. With the mentioned EU Directives, the Republic of Croatia is modernizing the consumer protection system, which due to social evolution and additionally accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic, undeniably longed for an upgrade, primarily in unpopular issues when buying products or services online. With this new Law, the legislator has primarily upgraded and adapted the basic guidelines along with consumer protection instruments to the "new era", with the aim of adequately responding to the shortcomings that have unfortunately turned out to be frequent in practice
APPLICATION OF MOBILE TECHNOLOGIES IN A UTILITY COMPANY
Takva aplikacija bi dovela do bolje usluge korisnicima i samim time većem zadovoljstvu korisnika.Quality communication with customers is the essence of success in the business of a company. A utility company has several channels of communication with its customers at its disposal, e.g. by means of face-to-face communication at the customer service desk, telephone communication, e-mail or a web page, and in some cases even by regular mail. Most often it is the customer who initiates the communication with the utility company for several reasons, e.g. to report the balance on the meters, inquire about utility billings, report defects, ask for information about the interruption of services and such. It is at the customers’ end to ask for the required information using one of the channels available. The development of mobile phones in the recent decade has brought about improving and broadening the functions of gadgets. Mobile applications played an important role in the development of mobile phones so today there are applications for almost all needs one can imagine, from banking and online shopping to social networks and entertainment; there is an application for every need. Employing mobile applications, the utility company would provide for an additional communication channel the employment of which would enable the company to communicate to its customers the information regarding the services it render timely as well as the events and operations in the area where it renders the service. Such an application would lead to a better service for its customers and thus bring about greater customer’ satisfaction
INJURY MECHANISMS AND REHABILITATION AFTER RUPTURE M.TRICEPS SURAE
Muscle injuries are the most common cause of physical disability in sports and everyday practice. Rupture of the triceps surae is a common muscle injury in athletes and recreational players. The most common mechanism of injury to this muscle is the performance of a series of actions such as sprinting, landing and stopping in place. Pain, swelling and loss of foot function are common symptoms of injury in athletes and recreational players. In addition to rehabilitation, physiotherapy interventions also include physiotherapy assessment, tests and measurements, as well as the plan and program of the therapy to be carried out and its goals. The rehabilitation process consists of four stages and can last between two and twelve weeks. Two factors are inevitable for a successful recovery after a triceps surae rupture, namely targeted and properly defined exercises, more precisely a rehabilitation plan and program, and the motivation of the patient depending on how quickly and qualitatively he wants to recover. The paper presents the anatomy of the muscle itself, the most common risk factors and mechanisms of this injury, diagnostic methods, as well as the most important elements of each phase of the rehabilitation process until the return to sports and daily life activities
THE PROCESS OF CROATIAN REPUBLIC ACCESSION TO THE EUROPEAN UNION
On July 1, 2013, the Republic of Croatia experienced great success by becoming a full member of the European union, a supranational institution whose motto is „United in diversity“. At the very end, the advantages and challenges that the Republic of Croatia has to deal with as a member of the European union will be presented
SUBJECTS OF OPERATIONAL INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
International business is made up of all commercial transactions between two or more countries. A transaction implies the exchange of goods, services, resources, but also includes the exchange of people, intellectual property, and even more. A company that makes a decision to expand its operations outside its country has three good reasons for doing so: increase sales, have new resources and reduce risk. International business and globalization are intertwined and interdependent on each other. There is a fact that from the middle of the 20th century and the end of the Second World War, the accelerated development of globalization and thus international business began. This final paper describes the drivers of globalization as well as ways of measuring globalization. In addition, this final paper, it defines international business and gains insight into globalization strategies, ethics and sustainability in the framework of international business which are essential elements. Also, in the final paper, from the point of three key financial institutions, there are statistical indicators that indicate that the IMF and the World Bank are more focused on lending and helping poor countries, while the WTO budget indicates a focus on internal factors. The aim of this final paper is to describe the activities of international business entities, but to determine the biggest challenges in the implementation of international business and their policies and practices
TREATMENT OF JUVENILE OFFENDERS
Juvenile criminal law began to develop gradually, especially in the direction of recognizing the issue of juvenile delinquency, which hides some specifics and a strong foundation for the further development of criminality. In order to suppress it, it became extremely important to pass a series of provisions with a preventive, deterrent and educational effect aimed at helping and protecting young offenders. Taking into account the primary task of dealing with juvenile offenders, it was necessary to regulate the procedures for juveniles in a way that takes into account the general standards in the development of children and juveniles and the needs of each individual juvenile who finds himself in the criminal justice system. In 1997, the first Law on Juvenile Courts was passed, which took precedence over the provisions of the Criminal Code intended for adult offenders. No, with the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, the European legislation influenced the development of the criminal procedure with its instruments, especially directives, in the desire to achieve the greatest degree of harmonization, prescribing the individual rights of the defendant in the criminal procedure. The process of harmonizing the rights of defendants in criminal proceedings also affected minors, and for this purpose, in accordance with the Guidelines for strengthening the procedural rights of suspects and defendants in criminal proceedings, Directive 2016/800 on procedural guarantees for children who are suspects or accused in criminal proceedings was adopted. All member states were obliged to implement it by June 11, 2019, and the Republic of Croatia implemented it with the latest amendments to the Law on Juvenile Courts
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS AT THE UNVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES "LAVOSLAV RUŽIČKA" IN VUKOVAR
Tjelesna aktivnost predstavlja jedan od osnovnih načina unaprijeđenja fizičkog i psihičkog zdravlja čovjeka. Jedan od vodećih uzroka za razvoj brojnih bolesti, onesposobljenja i smrt uz pušenje i nepravilnu prehranu je nedovoljna razina tjelesne aktivnosti. Poticanjem i promoviranjem aktivnog stila života u svim dobnim skupinama doprinosi se smanjenju morbiditeta i mortaliteta, smanjenju troškova zdravstvene i socijalne skrbi te poboljšanju produktivnosti populacije. Period studiranja predstavlja ključni prijelazni period u odrastanju mladih ljudi. Physical activity is one of the basic ways to improve the physical and mental health of a person. One of the leading causes for the development of numerous diseases, disabilities and death in addition to smoking and improper nutrition is an insufficient level of physical activity. Encouraging and promoting an active lifestyle in all age groups contributes to reducing morbidity and mortality, reducing health and social care costs, and improving the productivity of the population. The college period represents a key transitional period in the growing up of young adults. Due to the changes that student life brings, students are exposed to a higher level of stress and obligations, which is often reflected in changes to their lifestyle, including physical activity. The aim of this work is to investigate the level of physical activity of students at the College of Applied Sciences "Lavoslav Ružička" in Vukovar. The research used the Croatian version of the IPAQ questionnaire and a questionnaire of general demographic characteristics created for the purposes of this research. The survey included 78 participants. The research was conducted through an online questionnaire sent to students via their official email addresses. It was found that there are certain differences in activity levels between genders, studies and years of study, but they are not statistically significant. It was also shown that students have a moderate level of physical activity, bordering on a low level of physical activity
PHYSIOTHERAPY PROCEDURES IN THE TREATMENT OF FLAT FEET (PES PLANUS)
Dropped feet or pes planus are among the most common foot deformities and one of the common musculoskeletal deformities in general. The development of dropped feet can be monitored, depending on the criteria and methodology, through three stages - pes valgus, pes planovalgus and pes planus. The frequency of a lowered foot arch is one case per thousand inhabitants. The etiology of flat feet can include congenital factors, in the case of congenitally flat feet, and acquired factors, in the case of acquired flat feet. External factors, for example, walking on hard flat surfaces, inadequate footwear, excessive body weight, etc., when combined with accelerated growth, consequently result in loosening of the arches of the feet. In adults, the abovementioned deformity most often occurs in professional occupations that involve long-term support on the feet, for example, doctors, hairdressers, restaurateurs, etc. The most commonly used diagnostic method for dropped feet is pedobarography. A dropped foot most often has the following features: pronation of the talus, valgus position of the heel, abduction of the anterior part of the foot and shortening of the Achilles tendon. The treatment of dropped feet is usually conservative and should be started as early as possible in order to achieve maximum results and avoid surgical treatment. The role of a physiotherapist is to carry out physiotherapy assessment procedures and create a plan for physiotherapy interventions. The most commonly used physiotherapy interventions for people with dropped feet are strengthening exercises, stretching exercises, coordination, balance and proprioception exercises, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, electrostimulation and kinesio taping
