Ona potiče nove načine razmišljanja i tumačenja svijeta. Art is essential for the emotional, creative, social and intellectual development of the individual. It encourages new ways of thinking and interpreting the world. Although it is an integral part of the education system, it is less and less represented in school curricula today. The teaching of art culture is seen as a subject that requires predispositions, talent, and not as a subject in which every student develops and expresses himself. In addition, primary school teachers generally do not have the necessary material resources for quality teaching. Modern art is problem-oriented and opens many questions that teachers are not ready to answer, believe they do not have the necessary competencies and therefore rarely resort to sources of modern art in working with students due to the complexity and complexity of the task. The aim of this paper is to describe the artistic creativity of selected Croatian authors and to explore the possibilities of motivating students with their works in the teaching of art culture. The paper presents five artists who left a significant mark in 20th century art. Some of them are still active today. The artist with whom this review begins is Ivan Kožarić. His way of working and most famous works are exhibited. Following is the preparation for the art class in primary school based on the works and techniques of Ivan Kožarić. This procedure is applied throughout the paper and determines the structure of the thesis. After him, appearing in order are: Miroslav Šutej, Ante Kuduz, Marija Ujević and Zlatko Keser. After each preparation of the teaching unit, student works created during the teaching process in the first grades of primary education are presented

Language acquisition is a process that begins with the birth of a child, although the unborn child listens and recognizes the mother's voice and its further development takes place in a stimulating environment under the influence of regulated biological factors. There are numerous theories that have tried to explain the development of the mentioned process, and some of them are behaviorism, cognitivism and generativism. Since no theory has fully clarified this phenomenon, it is necessary to look at it multidisciplinary. Children learn language spontaneously, naturally, automatically and without too much effort. Parents are the first speech models that a child encounters and therefore play a major role in the process of child development, including speech development, but no less important are educators who also play an important role. It is important that adults talk to children expressively and clearly, pay attention to the height of speech, tone and tempo. The topic of cooperation of biological and environmental factors in language acquisition is illustrated by review of foreign and domestic literature where it is shown that science gives equal attention to both and we conclude that only their cooperation can effectively lead to good language skills

Usto proveli smo anketu s pitanjima o prehrambenim navikama i količini i vrsti tjelesne aktivnosti.Excess body mass and obesity have become serious public health problems in the world, and in Croatia as well. It is worrying to what extent obesity appears in children and adolescents. Improper nutrition and little or no physical activity greatly affect the health and quality of life of each individual. In addition, obesity can be the cause of various diseases, disorders and incapacity for the normal functioning of the human body. Parents have the greatest influence on a child's growth and development. Whatever habits a child acquires at an early age, there are great chances that he will have such habits when he grows up. Parents should provide their children with a varied diet and encourage them to exercise daily. Physical and health education classes at school are certainly not enough, so it would be desirable if the child were involved in extracurricular and extracurricular sports activities. The paper explains the method of determining obesity, explains the types of obesity and states the state of obesity in the world and in Croatia in the past few years. The types of obesity prevention are indicated and their programs are described. Afterwards, proper nutrition and the influence of physical activity on children's development and health are described. Research was conducted on 53 first- and fourth-grade students of the Nikola Tesla Elementary School. The aim of the research was to determine whether there is obesity among female students in primary education and whether age affects the level of obesity. We measured the height (cm) and weight (kg) of the students and obtained the body mass index (BMI) with which we determined whether the child was obese or not. We also conducted a survey with questions about eating habits and the amount and type of physical activity

Predstavili smo cjeloviti kreativni proces i dječje likovne radove nastale u prirodnom okruženju. This thesis is about contemporary art in art and pedagogical work with children of preschool age. The first part talks about the artistic development of children, the concept of creativity and how educators can encourage it in children in kindergarten, and how artistic and creative work affects the overall development of children. In the paper, we explained how contemporary art and its trends (Land art) can be brought closer to children through artistic and creative activities and encourage them to research and create. The second part presents the results of the practical work carried out in the “Sisak novi” kindergarten in Sisak. Eighteen children aged 5.5 to 7.5 years participated in art activities. We presented the complete creative process and children's art works created in the natural environment

The imapct of media on informal and non-formal EFL acquisition before and during the coronavirus pandemic

During the coronavirus pandemic, many people have been in a situation where their reliance on and use of the media has increased significantly, either for entertainment purposes during their free time or because they had to do their job or schoolwork using computers or other media. Kindergartens were among the few educational institutions that were the least affected by the lockdown during the pandemic, but even though the lockdown period was the shortest for them, children’s use of various media has increased during that period. Media are the future, and we cannot escape them, but what we can do is control the media content used by children. Media indeed can have a positive effect on children’s development in general as well as their language development provided the content they are exposed to has an educational purpose and provided that adults discuss with the children the media content to which they have been exposed. Since English is the most widespread language in the world of media, it is likely that media use will facilitate the acquisition of that language. This thesis discusses a potential effect of the Covid-19 pandemic and consequently, the media, on children’s language development. The thesis presents some advantages and disadvantages of early foreign language learning and acquisition as well as positive and negative media influence on children’s language development, especially during the pandemic. The final chapter brings the opinions of two kindergarten teachers working in an EFL programme about a possible impact of the pandemic and the media on children’s language development

Subliminalne poruke u dječjim animiranim filmovima i reklamama na engleskom

Nowadays, children spend a significant amount of time in front of different screens and they are subjected to the influence of the media and their manipulations. One example of such influence are subliminal or hidden messages which have been in use for a long time, but they often go unnoticed because they are below the level of detectable sensation. Some research over the past years shows that people can unconsciously store a subliminal message in their memory, thus enabling the creators of such messages to achieve the desired marketing or other outcomes. Scientists who deal with subliminal perception agree that the subject matter is intriguing and complicated. Namely, despite numerous studies that show that subliminal perception really has an impact on the audiences, many claim that this phenomenon does not exist. In addition, subliminal messages are considered to be on the border between ethical and unethical, legal and illegal and humane and inhumane, and many people wonder if they violate basic human rights. In this final thesis, several texts in English have been analyzed to find the information on subliminal messages, where they can be found and how they are used in animated movies and for advertising purposes, i.e. what impact they might have on children.U današnje vrijeme djeca provode značajan dio vremena ispred ekrana i podložna su utjecaju medija i njihovim manipulacijama.

The benefits and importance of continuous implementation of educational work with early and preschool aged children are described. The corona virus pandemic disrupted the previous functioning of the educational system. Being aware of the importance of conducting educational work, educators were forced to look for innovative ways to work with children during the lockdown. Teachers and professors were given specific instructions on how to work online with pupils / students. Although all of this was new for them and for the students, they got used to it quite quickly, and by using various applications and media tools, mutual cooperation was achieved at the end. Despite non-existent instructions on how to make educators work from home, they once again showed their creativity, resourcefulness, desire to work and love for children, and started an "online kindergarten". Viber / WhatsApp / Facebook groups were opened, video calls were made via Zoom, voicemails and videos were sent. Children were allowed to stay in touch with each other, and at the same time to keep in touch with their educators. Offered activities were designed in such a way that all children could carry them out with minimal or even without any parental assistance, taking into account that parents had to work. Some of the activities carried out within the "online kindergarten" can be found on the website "Vesela izolacija", which is mentioned in the paper. This site serves educators, parents and students as a source of ideas for activities that can be carried out during crisis situations such as "lockdown"

Koristeći kretanje - glavni sadržaj tjelesne i zdravstvene kulture, djeca mogu naučiti prostorne odnose, brojeve, oblike i geometriju.Cross-curricular linking corresponds to the linking of the content and knowledge within one, or several different subject areas. Such linking provides holistic knowledge to the children. This undergraduate thesis aims to describe the meaning and importance of integrated and connected learning for preschool children. Two models of cross-curricular linking, as well as sixteen examples of linking the Physical Education activities and Mathematics in the kindergarten, are presented in the current thesis. By using movement, the core content of Physical Education, children can better learn spatial relations, numbers, shapes, and geometr

Infectious diseases in early and preschool age

Mnoge slabo razvijene zemlje još uvijek imaju veliku stopu smrtnosti djece rane i predškolske dobi zbog infekcija uzrokovanih zaraznim bolestima. Infectious diseases are the most common occurrence among children of early and preschool age. Most of us have once in our lives suffered from an infectious disease listed and described in this paper. The source of infectious diseases is a pathogenic microorganism that is transmitted by certain routes and reaches the front door of the host, and the virulence or infectivity and number of microorganisms and the resistance or sensitivity of the host depends on whether an infection will occur. Meaningful and targeted action by us as individuals (educators and/or parents) on the previously described stages of infection formation can contribute to the prevention of infection. The aim of this paper is to present and familiarize with the causative agents, types and symptoms of infectious diseases, and each disease is separately presented and described through the clinical picture and course of the disease, diagnosis and treatment. It is crucial to educate educators and parents so that they can prevent the occurrence of infectious diseases, prevent the spread, but also recognize the symptoms if an infection occurs. Cooperation is needed at all levels, starting with the cooperation of the state and educational institutions, primary health care and kindergartens, the cooperation of parents and educators is always important. It is also important to educate the population and the population about the importance and benefits of vaccines against infectious diseases. Many underdeveloped countries still have a high mortality rate of early and preschool children due to infections caused by infectious diseases. Therefore, with today's modern and advanced medicine and science, it is a shame not to use the full potential available to us, all with the aim of improving and raising the standard of living
