    Industrija kružnih putovanja predstavlja jedan od najbrže rastućih i najznačajnijih segmenta unutar globalne turističke industrije. Ovaj sektor bilježi kontinuirani rast s minimalnim oscilacijama, pri čemu se Mediteran izdvaja kao najatraktivnija destinacija koja privlači najveći broj putnika. Međutim, uz razvoj industrije kružnih putovanja dolazi i do povećanja negativnog utjecaja na okoliš, što potiče razvoj inovativnih ideja i praksi za njegovo smanjenje. U tom kontekstu, osnovni problem ovog istraživanja jest analiza čimbenika koji utječu na održivost kružnih putovanja u Mediteranu i doprinose njezinu unapređenju. Cilj rada je pružiti sveobuhvatno objašnjenje koncepta kružnih putovanja, njihove klasifikacije i ključnih čimbenika koji utječu na ovaj sektor.The cruise industry is one of the fastest growing and most significant segments within the global tourism industry. This sector has been experiencing continuous growth with minimal fluctuations, with the Mediterranean standing out as the most attractive destination that draws the highest number of passengers. However, the growth of the cruise industry also leads to an increase in its negative impact on the environment, which in turn drives the development of innovative ideas and practices to mitigate this impact. In this context, the primary focus of this research is to analyse the factors that affect the sustainability of cruise tourism in the Mediterranean and contribute to its enhancement. The aim of this research is to provide a comprehensive explanation of the concept of cruise tourism, its classification, and key factors influencing this sector

    Razvoj gospodarstva i međunarodne trgovine značajno je utjecao na porast pomorskog prometa. Pomorske države koje su prepoznale svoj potencijal razvile su dobre prometne veze. Sukladno tome veliki značaj pridaje se upravo pomorskom prometu kao grani prometnog sustava. Predmet istraživanja u ovom radu su pomorski promet te međunarodna trgovina. U radu se analiziraju značajke i dijelovi pomorskog prometa te prednosti i nedostaci istoga. Dana su teorijska objašnjenja pojmova pomorski promet i međunarodna trgovina te su navedene njihove osnovne karakteristike. Svrha rada je prikazati važnost i značaj pomorskog prometa za nesmetano odvijanje međunarodne trgovine. Pridaje se poseban osvrt podatcima međunarodne trgovine odnosno izvoza te utjecaju pandemije COVID – 19 na pomorski promet i međunarodnu robnu razmjenu. Koristeći se statističkim podacima, prikazane su stope robe prevezene pomorskim putem kroz povijest, ali posebno posljednjih nekoliko godina. Sortirane su i različite skupine podataka koji reprezentativno pokazuju utjecaj različitih pomorskih rizika na trgovinu.The development of the economy and international trade significantly influenced the increase in maritime traffic. Maritime countries that have recognized their potential have developed good transpord links. Therefore, great importance is attached to maritime transport as a branch of the transport system. The focus of this final paper is certainly maritime transport and its advantages and disadvantages. Is given access into international trade and key concepts are explained. The purpose of final paper is to show the importance and sugnificance of maritime transport for the development of international trade. Special attention is paid on international trade and export dana and the impact of the COVID – 19 pandemic on maritime transport and international trade. Using statistic dana, there is a presentation of the rate of goods transported by sea throughout history, especially in the last few years. Various data on maritime risks and their impact on trade were also collected

    U ovom radu detaljno je opisana konfiguracija i rad brodskih pumpi, uz pregled njihove povijesti razvitka, s posebnim naglaskom na poboljšanja i automatizaciju sustava koji koriste brodske pumpe. Rad se bavi i klasifikacijom različitih sustava automatike na brodu, uključujući ključne komponente poput alarmnih i sigurnosnih sustava, koji su neophodni za sigurno i efikasno funkcioniranje broda, pri čemu se pozornost stavlja na automatsku regulaciju i PID regulator. Glavni fokus rada usmjeren je na automatizaciju rada brodskih pumpi u okviru zadanog sustava, s detaljnim opisom raznih tipova pumpi, njihovih karakteristika, te specifičnih načina upotrebe u različitim brodskim operacijama. Kroz analizu sustava, istaknuta je važnost automatizacije u modernim brodskim sustavima, koja ne samo da povećava učinkovitost i sigurnost, već i smanjuje potrebu za ljudskom intervencijom, čime se optimiziraju procesi i doprinosi smanjenju operativnih troškova na brodu.This thesis provides a detailed description of the configuration and operation of marine pumps, along with an overview of their historical development, with a special emphasis on the improvements and automation of systems utilizing marine pumps. The study also addresses the classification of various automation systems on board, including key components such as alarm and safety systems, which are essential for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, where the focus will be on automatic regulation and the PID controller. The main focus of the paper is on the automation of marine pump operations within a given system, offering a detailed description of different types of pumps, their characteristics, and specific applications in various maritime operations. Through system analysis, the importance of automation in modern maritime systems is highlighted, not only for increasing efficiency and safety but also for reducing the need for human intervention, thereby optimizing processes and contributing to the reduction of operational costs on board

    Ovaj završni rad bavi se istraživanjem električne provodnosti i osnovnim svojstvima vodiča. Električna provodnost je recipročna vrijednost električne otpornosti koja ovisi o čistoći materijala, a mijenja se i s temperaturom. Razumijevanje tog pojma je važno za razvoj i primjenu elektroničkih uređaja na kopnu i brodu. Posebna pažnja je posvećena materijalima visoke provodnosti, kao što su bakar i aluminij, te njihove legure. Istaknute su karakteristike tih materijala, važne u primjenama u elektronici i elektroenergetici, zbog male električne otpornosti.This bachelor thesis explores electrical conductivity and basic properties of conductors. Electrical conductivity is reciprocal value to electrical resistance which depends on purity of the material and also changes with the temperature. Understanding this concept is essential for the development and application of electronic devices both on land and at sea. Special attention is given to materials with high conductivity such as copper and aluminum and their alloys. The caracteristics of these materials are highlighted as important in applications in electronics and power engineering due to their low electrical resistivity

    Prijevoz opasnog tereta morem predstavlja složen i visoko reguliran proces koji uključuje strogu usklađenost s međunarodnim standardima i nacionalnim zakonima kako bi se osigurala sigurnost ljudi, okoliša i imovine. Ovaj proces zahtijeva posebnu opremu, infrastrukturu te obučeno osoblje koje je sposobno rukovati opasnim teretom. Sigurnosni protokoli, kao što su Međunarodni kodeks za pomorski prijevoz opasnih tvari (IMDG Code), konvencija o zaštiti ljudskog života na moru (SOLAS) i druge međunarodne konvencije, ključni su za sprječavanje nesreća i minimiziranje rizika tijekom transporta. Luke koje rukuju opasnim teretom moraju biti opremljene specijaliziranom infrastrukturom i tehnologijom za nadzor, skladištenje i ukrcaj opasnih tvari, uz primjenu najviših sigurnosnih standarda. Razvoj tehnologije i međunarodna suradnja imaju ključnu ulogu u unapređenju sigurnosnih mjera i smanjenju ekološkog utjecaja tijekom transporta opasnih tereta morem.The transportation of dangerous goods by sea is a complex and highly regulated process that requires strict compliance with international standards and national laws to ensure the safety of people, the enviroment and property. This process needs specialized equipment, infrastructure and trained personnel capable of handling hazardous cargo. Safety protocols, such as the International Maritime Dangerous Cargo (IMDG) Code, the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention and other international conventions are crucial for preventing accidents and minimizins risks during transport. Ports handling dangerous goods must be equipped with specialized infrastructure and technology for monitoring, storage and loading of hazardous materials, using the highest safety standards. The development of technology and international cooperation play a key role in enhancing safety measures and reducing the enviroment impact during the transportation of dangerous goods by sea

    Luke cruising turizma na Mediteranu predstavljaju ključan segment globalne turističkeindustrije koji donosi mnoge značajne ekonomske koristi. Također, postavlja i niz izazovavezanih za očuvanje okoliša, kulturne baštine, potrebu za razvojem infrastrukture te mnogedruge. Cruising turizam, kao oblik turizma, privlači veliki broj putnika iz cijelog svijeta te imomogućuje istraživanje raznih destinacija duž obale. Neke od najatraktivnijih destinacija nalazese na Mediteranu. Zbog svoje reljefne raznolikosti, klimatskih pogodnosti te bogate povijesnebaštine, Mediteran se ubraja u glavne svjetske regije za kružna putovanja. Kako bi se osiguraloodrživo upravljanje ovim oblikom turizma te se dobio jasniji uvid u trendove na promatranomtržištu, nužno je provesti cjelovitu analizu tržišta i na temelju statističkih podataka valoriziratipojedine luke regija za kružna putovanja. U ovom završnom radu analizirat će se najvećecruising luke na Mediteranu te će se na temelju njihovih karakteristika, razvojnih predispozicijai relevantnih rezultata poslovanja formirati procjena njihova utjecaja na pozicioniranje regije nasvjetskom tržištu.Cruise ports in the Mediterranean represent a key segment of the global tourism industry,bringing significant economic benefits. However, they also pose a range of challenges relatedto environmental preservation, cultural heritage protection, the need for infrastructuredevelopment, and more. Cruise tourism, as a form of travel, attracts a large number ofpassengers from around the world, allowing them to explore various destinations along thecoast. Some of the most attractive destinations are located in the Mediterranean, which isconsidered one of the world's top regions for cruising due to its diverse landscape, favorableclimate, and rich historical heritage. To ensure sustainable management of this type of tourismand gain a clearer insight into market trends, it is essential to conduct a comprehensive marketanalysis and evaluate individual ports in the cruising region based on statistical data.     Konkurentnost kontejnerskih pomorskih luka vrlo je važno za njihovu sposobnost privlačenja i zadržavanja prometa u globalnom tržištu. Analizom dvije ključne luke Jadrana, luke Rijeka i luke Kopar, identificiraju se njihove snage, slabosti i mogućnosti za poboljšanje. Luka Rijeka, najveća hrvatska luka, ima stratešku prednost zbog svog položaja na Jadranu koji omogućava lak pristup Srednjoj i Istočnoj Europi. Njezinu konkurentnost ograničava nedovoljno razvijena infrastruktura, posebno željezničke veze te administrativne prepreke usporavaju operacije. Unatoč planovima za modernizaciju ključ je brza i učinkovita provedba planova. S druge strane, luka Kopar u Sloveniji ima prednost dobro razvijene infrastrukture i snažnih željezničkih veza s ključnim europskim tržištima. Luka Kopar kontinuirano ulaže u širenje kapaciteta i modernizaciju što je čini vrlo konkurentnom lukom. Iako, suočava se s izazovima zasićenja kapaciteta i potrebom za daljnjim širenjem kako bi zadržala svoju poziciju na tržištu. Konkurentnost ovih luka ovisi o njihovoj sposobnosti prilagodbe globalnim tržištima, modernizaciji infrastrukture i poboljšanju operativne učinkovitosti.The competitiveness of container seaports is very important for their ability to attract and retain traffic in the global market. Analysis of the two key Adriatic ports, the Port of Rijeka and the Port of Koper, identifies their strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. The port of Rijeka, the largest Croatian port, has a strategic advantage due to its position on the Adriatic, which provides easy access to Central and Eastern Europe. Its competitiveness is limited by insufficiently developed infrastructure, especially railway connections, and administrative obstacles which slow down operations. Despite the plans for modernization, the key is fast and efficient implementation of the plans. On the other hand, the port of Koper in Slovenia has the advantage of a well – developed infrastructure and strong rail connections with key European markets. The port of Koper is continuously expanding its capacity and modernizing, which makes it a very competitive port. Although it faces the challenges of saturated capacity and the need for further expansion in order to maintain its position in the market. The competitiveness of these ports depends on their ability to adapt to global markets, modernize infrastructure and improve operational efficiency

    Ovaj diplomski rad usmjeren je na analizu operativne učinkovitosti i iskoristivosti kapaciteta terminala u luci Rijeka, najvećoj pomorskoj luci u Republici Hrvatskoj. Cilj rada je procijeniti trenutnu potražnju za uslugama terminala, istražiti postojeće kapacitete te identificirati ključne izazove u operativnim procesima. Istraživanje koristi kvantitativne metode, uključujući statističku analizu i teoriju redova čekanja, kako bi se dobio uvid u način na koji terminali funkcioniraju te utvrdile mogućnosti za poboljšanje. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na analizu tereta, učinkovitost logističkih procesa te potencijalne strategije za optimizaciju rada terminala.This thesis focuses on analysing the operational efficiency and capacity utilization of terminals in the Port of Rijeka, the largest seaport in the Republic of Croatia. The objective of the study is to assess the current demand for terminal services, investigate existing capacities, and identify key challenges in operational processes. The research employs quantitative methods, including statistical analysis and queuing theory, to gain insights into terminal operations and identify opportunities for improvement. Special emphasis is placed on cargo analysis, the efficiency of logistics processes, and potential strategies for optimizing terminal operations

    Quantitative analysis of sea cargo shipping in the Republic of Croatia

    Zahvaljujući dugoj jadranskoj obali i dobro smještenim lukama poput Splita, Rijeke i Dubrovnika, Hrvatska ima uspješan morski teretni prijevoz koji opslužuje i europsko i regionalno tržište. Hrvatske brodarske tvrtke raspolažu flotom brodova namijenjenih prijevozu različitih vrsta tereta: tankera, brodova za rasuti teret, brodova za prijevoz kontejnera, putničkih i ro-ro brodova. Hrvatske brodare predstavlja hrvatska udruga brodara - Mare Nostrum. Ovaj rad analizira flotu Mare Nostrum sa stanjem u 2023. godini kroz kvantitativne pokazatelje. Floti su se tijekom 2023. godine pridružila dva broda, a eliminirana su dva starija broda što je umanjilo flotu za 73.970 GT-a i 152,152 DWT-a. Ovim radom ističe se strateški položaj Hrvatske kroz kontinuirane aktivnosti kojima se nastoji osuvremeniti i podići kapacitet brodova hrvatskih morskih brodara radi ostvarivanja konkurentskih prednosti na međunarodnom tržištu..Thanks to the long Adriatic coast and well-located ports such as Split, Rijeka and Dubrovnik, Croatia has a successful maritime freight transport that serves both the European and regional markets. Croatian shipping companies have a fleet of ships intended for the transport of various types of cargo: tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, passenger and ro-ro ships. Croatian shipowners are represented by the Croatian association of shipowners - Mare Nostrum. This paper analyzes the Mare Nostrum fleet with its state in 2023 through quantitative indicators. During 2023, two ships joined the fleet, and two older ships were eliminated, which reduced the fleet by 73,970 GT and 152,152 DWT. This work highlights the strategic position of Croatia through continuous activities that strive to modernize and increase the capacity of the ships of Croatian shipping companies in order to achieve competitive advantages on the international market

    Ležajevi i spojke neophodan su i neizostavan dio ukupne izvedbe, sigurnosti i pouzdanosti pomoćnih brodskih strojeva te su potrebni da bi sustav ispravno radio i imao dugačak životni vijek. Učinkovitost prijenosa snage povećava se adekvatno odabranim i servisiranim ležajevima i spojkama te oni kao takvi pogoduju smanjenju vremena zastoja, troškova održavanja te pozitivno utječu na sigurnost plovila i posljedično posade. S druge strane, zanemarivanje i neadekvatno održavanje ovih komponenti uvelike može dovesti do tehničke neučinkovitosti, ugrožene sigurnosti i neočekivanih poremećaja u brodskim pomoćnim sustavima i uređajima, te puno većeg troška ili havarije u konačnici.Bearings and clutches are a necessary and indispensable part of the overall performance, safety and reliability of marine auxiliary machinery. They are necessary for the marine engine to work properly and have a long life. The efficiency of power transmission is increased by adequately selected and serviced bearings and clutches, and as such they favor the reduction of downtime, maintenance costs and have a positive effect on the safety of the vessel and, consequently, the crew. On the other hand, neglect and inadequate maintenance of these components can greatly lead to technical inefficiency, compromised safety and unexpected disruptions in the ship's auxiliary systems and devices, and a much higher cost or breakdown in the end
