The role of intelligent transport systems in reducing pollution
Razvitkom prometa i sve većom uporabom automobila i drugih sredstava za prijevozodnosno transport, dolazi do prometnih gužvi i zagušenosti prometnica što dovodi do emisijaCO2 i drugih stakleničkih plinova. Onečišćenje okoliša i zagađenje zraka koje nastaje u procesuu kojem se obavlja prijevoz može se riješiti pomoću inteligentnih transportnih sustava. Ovaj radgovori o načinu djelovanja ITS-a na održivu urbanu mobilnost ali isto tako i o ulozi ITS-a nasprječavanju onečišćenja mora prilikom pomorskog prometa. Prikazani su primjeri kojidokazuju uspješnost ITS-a u izvršavanju ciljeva koji se tiču smanjenja emisija stakleničkihplinova i sveopćeg stanja utjecaja cestovnog i pomorskog prometa na okoliš.With the development of traffic and the increasing use of vehicles and other means of transportation, there are traffic jams and road congestion, which leads to emissions of CO2 and other greenhous gases. Environmental pollution and air pollution created in the process in which the transport is carried out can be solved by means of intelligent transport system. This paper talks about the mode of action of ITS for sustainable urban mobility, but also on the role of ITS for the prevention of sea pollution during maritime traffic. Examples are presented to prove the success of ITS in fulfilling the goals related to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the overall state of the impact of traffic on the enviroment
The ecological impact of marinas on the marine environment
Turizam je jedna od značajnih grana gospodarstva u Hrvatskoj koja je vrlo osjetljiva na utjecaje degradacije okoliša zbog važnosti prirodnih ljepota i bogate kulturne baštine u privlačenju posjetitelja. Dio infrastrukture turizma čine luke namijenjene nautičkom turizmu, koje pružaju usluge i prihvaćaju plovila nautičara. Razvoj turizma, uključujući izgradnju novih marina, stvara pritisak na morski ekosustav, uzrokujući onečišćenje i potrošnju prirodnih resursa.
Kako bi se smanjili negativni utjecaji na okoliš, provode se različite mjere i strategije temeljene na konceptu održivog razvoja. Dugoročno gledano, najveća prijetnja turizmu je nekontrolirani rast koji može dovesti do degradacije prirodne osnove. Zbog toga je ključno pažljivo razmatrati svaku aktivnost i njezin mogući ekološki utjecaj.Tourism is a key sector of the economy in Croatia, highly sensitive to environmental degradation due to the importance of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage in attracting visitors. Part of the tourism infrastructure consists of ports intended for nautical tourism, which provide services and accommodate vessels for yachtsmen. The development of tourism, including the construction of new marinas, creates pressure on the marine ecosystem, causing pollution and the consumption of natural resources.
To mitigate the negative environmental impacts, various measures and strategies based on the concept of sustainable development are implemented. In the long term, the greatest threat to tourism is uncontrolled growth, which can lead to the degradation of the natural foundation. Therefore, it is crucial to carefully consider each activity and its potential ecological impact
Tehnology of diagnostics and condition monitoring of rolling bearings
Ovaj rad istražuje napredak u razvoju tehnologija za dijagnostiku i nadzor kugličnih
ležajeva, s posebnim naglaskom na primjenu umjetne inteligencije. U središtu pozornosti
su moderni alati, poput konvolucijskih neuronskih mreža, koji omogućuju detaljnu analizu
vibracijskih podataka u svrhu otkrivanja ranih znakova oštećenja. Precizna detekcija
kvarova ključna je za poboljšanje pouzdanosti i sigurnosti rada rotirajućih strojeva, što
doprinosi produljenju vijeka trajanja opreme i smanjenju troškova održavanja. Kroz rad se
jasno pokazuje kako ove napredne metode omogućuju pravovremene intervencije, čime se
smanjuje rizik od ozbiljnih oštećenja i iznenadnih kvarova.This final assignment will analyze the development and application of technologies
for the diagnostics and monitoring of ball bearings, with a special emphasis on the
application of artificial intelligence. The focus is on modern tools, such as convolutional
neural networks, which enable detailed analysis of vibration data to detect early signs of
damage. Precise fault detection is crucial for improving the reliability and safety of rotating
machinery, contributing to the extension of equipment lifespan and the reduction of
maintenance costs. Throughout the work, it is evident that these advanced techniques
enable prompt interventions, which in turn lower the risk of significant damage and sudden
failures
Organizational management and navigation safety management system
Menadžment je proces organiziranja,planiranja,koordinacije,vođenje i motiviranje kao i
kontrole raznoraznih materijalnih,nematerijalnih,tehnoloških ali ponasve ljudskih potencijala
pojedine organizacijske strukture kako bi se konačni zadaci učinkovito dostigli.Efikasan
menadžment reflektira se u kojoj se mjeri ostvaraju zadani zadaci i egzistira upravo zato jer
simbolizira efikasno odnosno učinkovito pomagalo za izvršavanje zadanih zadataka.
Ministarstvo mora,prometa i infrastrukture u Republici Hrvatskoj izvršava
administrativne poslove kao što su zakonski mehanizmi zaštite svojeg međunarodno priznatog
djela Jadranskog mora koje uključuje unutranje morske vode,teritorijalno more i isključivi
gospodarski pojas te nadalje cjelokupnu razvedenu obalu s mnogobrojnim otocima.Osim
morskog dijela nadležno je za cjelokupni cestovni,željeznički,zračni i poštanski promet kao i
pripadajuću infrastrukturu.
Predmet ovog rada su zadaci i svojstva navedenog ministarstva s osvrtom na upravu
sigurnosti plovidbe kao i zadatke uprave odnosno službe ljudskih potencijala u svezi obavljanja
funkcije menadžerskog upravljanja ljudskim resursima kao i postupke za ispunjavanje svih
zadataka koji su potrebni za efikasno funkcioniranje cjelokupnog sustava ministarstva.Management is process of organizing, planning, coordinating, leading ,motivating and as
well controlling various material, non-material, technological and especially human potentials
of an individual organizational structure in order to achiev effectively final tasks. Effective
management is reflecteing in the extent to which the given tasks are achieved and exists
precisely because it symbolizes an efficient or effective tool for carrying out assigned tasks.
The Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure in the Republic of Croatia takes out
administrative tasks, such as the legal mechanisms for the protection of its internationally
recognized part of the Adriatic Sea, which includes inland sea, the territorial waters and the
exclusive economic zone, as well as the entire indented coast with numerous islands. Except
for the sea part is responsible for all road, rail, air and postal traffic as well as the associated
infrastructure.
The subject of this work is the tasks and characteristics of the mentioned ministry with
reference to the administration of navigation safety as well as the tasks of the administration or
the human resources service in connection with the performance of the managerial function of
human resources as well as the procedures for fulfilling all the tasks that are necessary for the
efficient functioning of the entire system of ministry
Human factor and preventing accidents at sea
Tijekom posljednjeg desetljeća broj pomorskih nesreća je u padu. Ipak, kako se
brodovi za prijevoz tereta i ljudi povećavaju, čak i jedna nesreća kao što je izlijevanje nafte
iz supertankera, može imati katastrofalne i dugoročne posljedice na morski ekosustav, okoliš
i ekonomiju.
Pomorske nesreće su složene i izazvane kombinacijom događaja i postupaka koje na
kraju rezultiraju gubitkom ljudskih života, nepovratnom ekološkom, okolišnom i
ekonomskom štetom.
U ovom radu govorit će se o važnim čimbenicima kojima se može spriječiti nastajanje
nesreća na moru. Pravilnom organizacijom rada, pravilnim upravljanjem posadom,
ulaganjem u izobrazbu pomoraca, pravodobnom reakcijom i prevencijom nezdravih navika
može se spriječiti gubitak ljudskih života, imovine, onečišćenje okoliša i uništavanje biljnog
i životinjskog svijeta.
Na kraju rada opisat će se uzroci ekološke katastrofe koju je izazvao brod „Exxon
Valdez“ te posljedice na okoliš i ekonomiju koje se osjete i danas.Over the last decade, the number of maritime accidents has fallen. However, as
vessels continue to increase in size, one single incident, such as oil spills from tankers, can
have catastrophic and long-term consequences for marine ecosystem, the environment and
economies.

Maritime accidents are complex and caused by a combination of events or proccesses
that might result in the loss of life, and irreversible ecological, environmental and economic
damage.
This paper will discuss important factors that can prevent maritime accidents. Proper
work organisation, proper crew management, invesment in seafarer 's training, timely
response and prevention of unhealthy habits can prevent the loss of human life, property,
environmental pollution and the destruction of flora and fauna.
At the end of the paper, the causes of the environmental disaster caused by the ship
„Exxon Valdez“ will be described, as well as the consequences on the environment and
economy that are still felt today
The importance of the maritime carrier in international transport : duties and responsibility
Transport je temelj razvoja za moderna gospodarstva, omogućuje kretanje robe i ljudi, podržava trgovinu i povezuje proizvođače s potrošačima. Prijevoznici su ključni u ovom sustavu, upravljaju logistikom i osiguravaju poštivanje propisa. Njihove pouzdane usluge olakšavaju trgovinu, poboljšavaju pristup tržištu i podupiru gospodarski rast. Istraživanje pokazuje da prijevoznici utječu na globalnu povezanost, gospodarski razvoj i inovacije. Jačaju veze među tržištima, potiču izvoz i pokreću gospodarski rast smanjenjem troškova prijevoza i vremena isporuke. Prometni sektor također može poboljšati održivost optimiziranom logistikom i učinkovitim upravljanjem voznim parkom.Transport is the foundation of development for modern economies, enabling the movement of goods and people, supporting trade and connecting producers with consumers. Carriers are key in this system, managing logistics and ensuring compliance. Their reliable services facilitate trade, improve market access and support economic growth. Research shows that carriers influence global connectivity, economic development and innovation. They strengthen links between markets, stimulate exports and drive economic growth by reducing transport costs and delivery times. The transport sector can also improve sustainability through optimized logistics and efficient fleet management
ISM code in the maritime LNG industry
Prijevoz ukapljenog prirodnog plina danas je sve više u porastu, iz dana u dan se grade novi brodovi i novi terminali. Povećani broj brodova i terminala iziskuje i dodatnu razinu sigurnosti, rad istražuje sigurnost, operativnu učinkovitost te zaštitu okoliša na tankerima za LNG. Fokus ISM koda na unaprjeđenju sigurnosnih standarda ključan je za globalnu opskrbu energijom. Tehnološki napredak, usklađenost s propisima te suradnja s klasifikacijskim društvima ključni su za sigurnost i učinkovitost. Implementacija ISM koda nužna je radi prevencije nesreća te izgradnje povjerenja u industriju LNG-a. ISM kodeks je imperativ za sigurnost i zaštitu okoliša u prijevozu LNG-a, promičući sigurnosnu kulturu kroz obuku i komunikaciju. Pridržavanje međunarodnih propisa poput ISM kodeksa osigurava konkurentske prednosti te zaštitu okoliša. Suradnja, kontinuirano poboljšanje i pridržavanje sigurnosnih procedura ključni su za sprječavanje nesreća i nezgoda u LNG industriji. Na primjeru problema usklađenosti poput onih viđenih kod tankera Zarga, možemo sagledati izazove koje nosi primjena ISM koda. Kroz sustav ISM kodeksa, postavljenih standarda sigurnosti, cilj je unaprijediti standarde u industriji koja je od iznimne važnosti za globalnu energetsku opskrbu. Tehnološki napretci, usklađenost s propisima te suradnja s klasifikacijskim društvima ključni su za sigurnost i učinkovitost u LNG prijevozu.The transportation of liquefied natural gas is increasing today, new ships and new terminals are being built every day. The increased number of ships and terminals requires an additional level of safety, the work investigates safety, operational efficiency and environmental protection on LNG tankers. The ISM Code's focus on improving safety standards is critical to global energy supply. Technological progress, regulatory compliance and cooperation with classification societies are key to safety and efficiency. The implementation of the ISM code is necessary to prevent accidents and build confidence in the LNG industry. The ISM Code is imperative for safety and environmental protection in LNG transportation, promoting a safety culture through training and communication. Adherence to international regulations such as the ISM Code ensures competitive advantages and environmental protection. Cooperation, continuous improvement and adherence to safety procedures are key to preventing accidents and incidents in the LNG industry. On the example of compliance problems such as those seen with the tanker Zarga, we can see the challenges of applying the ISM code. Through the system of the ISM code, set safety standards, the goal is to improve standards in an industry that is extremely important for global energy supply. Technological advances, regulatory compliance and cooperation with classification societies are key to safety and efficiency in LNG transportation
Evaluation model of the service quality on the transport route in the function of determining the network of transport terminals
Promet je jedan od najvažnijih segmenata gospodarskog razvoja. Ekonomski produkt prometa jest prometna usluga koja je uslužnog karaktera, usmjerena prema svojim korisnicima u cilju zadovoljenja njihovih potreba i zahtjeva. Prometna usluga odvija se na prometnim pravcima, lučkim i kopnenim terminalima u okviru transportnog lanca prijevoza tereta. S obzirom na to da prometna usluga egzistira na dinamičnom i varijabilnom tržištu ponude i potražnje, prometna poduzeća teže postizanju optimalne razine kvalitete svojih usluga na prometnim pravcima kako bi ostvarila konkurentnost. Slijedom navedenog, temeljni cilj doktorskog rada jest definirati model vrednovanja kvalitete usluge na prometnom pravcu u funkciji utvrđivanja mreže prometnih terminala. Temelj za postavljanje modela definiranje je parametara s aspekta očekivanja korisnika, koji u najboljoj mjeri opisuju kvalitetu prometne usluge te njihova implementacija u model primjenom neizrazite logike i faktorske analize metodom glavnih komponenata. Tako definirani matematički model vrednovanja kvalitete usluge na prometnom pravcu primijenjen je u svrhu utvrđivanja mreže prometnih terminala s aspekta optimalne kvalitete prometne usluge, a u skladu sa zahtjevima korisnika prometne usluge.The traffic is one of the most important segment of economic development. The economic product of traffic is a transport service that is of a service nature, directed towards its users and customers in order to satisfy their needs and requirements. Transport service takes place on transport routes, port and land terminals within the transport chain of cargo transport. Considering that transport service exists on a dynamic and variable market of supply and demand, transport companies strive to achieve the optimal level of quality of their services on transport routes in order to achieve competitiveness. Following the above, in accordance with the scientific hypothesis, the aim of the doctoral dissertation is to define a model for evaluating the service quality on a transport route in the function of determining the network of transport terminals. The basis for setting up the model is the definition of parameters from the aspect of user expectations, which best describe the quality of the transport service, and their implementation in the model using fuzzy logic and factor analysis of the method of principal components. The defined mathematical model for evaluation the service quality on transport route is applied for purpose of determining the network of transport terminals from the aspect of optimal transport service quality, in accordance with the requirements of their users
Container tracking information systems
Kontejnerski prijevoz predstavlja pomorski segment intermodalnoga transportnog sustava u okviru kojeg se roba prevozi u standardiziranim kontejnerima. Kontejnerizacija je ključni pokretač svjetske trgovine. Zbog krađe, piratstva, oštećenja uzrokovanih vremenskim nepogodama ili prometnim nesrećama izgubi se velik broj kontejnera. Gužve u transportu i sigurnosno-carinski nadzori uzrokuju zakašnjenja u dostavi. Kako bi se umanjili troškovi i optimizirala učinkovitost logističkog lanca, neophodno je dobivati informacije o statusu kontejnera u stvarnom vremenu. Pri tome je ključna implementacija suvremenih tehnologija u sustave za praćenje kontejnera. U radu su analizirana tri bitna elementa kontejnerizacije: kontejner kao sredstvo za objedinjavanje tereta, kontejnerski brod i kontejnerski terminal. Prikazana je primjena informacijskih sustava na kontejnerskim terminalima. Napravljena je analiza informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologija u primjeni u sustavima za praćenje kontejnera te su istražene neke od aplikacija za praćenje kontejnera.Container transport represents a segment of the intermodal transport system where goods are transported in standardized containers. Containerization is a key driver of world trade. Many containers are lost due to theft, piracy, or damage caused by weather or traffic accidents. Congestion in transport, as well as security and customs controls cause delivery delays. In order to reduce costs and optimize the efficiency of the logistics chain, it is necessary to obtain information about the status of containers in real time. To achieve this, implementing modern technologies in container tracking systems is crucial. The paper analysed three essential elements of containerization: the container as a means of unifying cargo, the container ship, and the container terminal. The paper shows the use of information systems in container terminals. Usage of information and communication technologies in container tracking systems was analysed, and some application for container tracking was explored
