Connecting server and client computer in purpose of using "Oracle database"
Ovaj diplomski rad s naslovom “Povezivanje serverskog i klijentskog računala u svrhu korištenje Oracle Database baze podataka” prikazuje detaljan opis postupka koji je potrebno izvršiti kako bi poslužiteljsko računalo ili server i klijentsko računalo mogli uspješno komunicirati. U prvom dijelu rada prikazuju se osnovni podaci o poduzećima koja surađuju u ovom slučaju, te osnovni podaci i informacije o programima koje je potrebno instalirati i is-pravno podesiti kako bi njihova međusobna povezanost bila što kvalitetnija. U nastavku će biti detaljno prikazan postupak instalacije OpenVPN programa koji je potreban za komunikaciju poslužitelja i klijenta, ali i instalacija Oracle Database baze podataka na poslužiteljsko računalo.This thesis with the title „Connecting a server and a client computer for the purpose of using Oracle Database” shows a detailed description of the procedure that needs to be performed in order for the server ant the client computer to be able to communicate successfully. In the first part of the paper, the basic data about the companies cooperating in this case are shown, as well as the basic data and information about the programs that need to be installed and correctly adjusted in order to make their interconnection as high-quality as possible. In the following, the procedure installing the OpenVPN program, which is required for server and client communication, as well as the installation of the Oracle Database on the server computer, will be shown in detail
Emission footprint of 2019 cruise traffic in the port of Dubrovnik
In this study, the environmental footprint within a designated area is determined by an inventory of air pollutants (including toxic and greenhouse gases) emissions generated. The designated area of concern is the port of Dubrovnik, a well-known cruise ship destination, where a major source of pollutant emissions is the diesel engines of the ships operating in the port. This research was undertaken for the port of Dubrovnik in connection with the development of the national strategy and the need for determining the inventory of air pollutants. It was conducted for the last pre – COVID- 19 year, 2019. In this paper, after a short introduction, the basic data of the port of Dubrovnik and the marine traffic (predominantly cruisers) in 2019 are provided, obtained from publicly available data. Next, the emission estimate methodology based on a bottom-up approach is described. The inventory analysis was undertaken from the port boundary to the PWD (pier/wharf/dock) and back. The basic equations for evaluation during cruising, maneuvering, and hoteling are given along with the corresponding data. The aggregated results are presented in the form of tables and column charts. These results show that the generation of CO2 highly dominates. Regarding the pollution analyzed NOx dominates. The results of this study could be of interest for later studies on environmental pollution in the region of Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the Croatian coast
The Port System in Addressing Sustainability Issues— A Systematic Review of Research
The aim of this paper is to analyse the main scientific contributions in the field of sustainable seaports, with a particular focus on passenger seaports and passenger seaports’ commitment to sustainability. The focus of this analysis is on the methods used to improve and develop a sustainable seaport. A search of the Web of Science Core Collection that addresses this topic consists of scientific articles published from 2012 to 2022. The articles are divided into seven groups by research area (technical/technological, legal, organisational, economic, social, environmental, and other) and five groups by applied methodology (literature review, theoretical approach, qualitative approach/methods, quantitative approach/methods, and other). The results show that most of the papers were published in the field of the environmental impacts of a sustainable seaport and a sustainable passenger seaport. Indicators of exploitation of freight wagons by capacity
Prijevoz tereta željeznicom zahtijeva kontinuirana investiranja te poboljšanja postojeće prometne usluge. Neulaganje u željezničku infrastrukturu, smanjenje kvalitete prometne usluge, te smanjenje broja vlakova rezultiraju smanjenom transportnom potražnjom u željezničkom prometu. U ovom diplomskom radu se analizira eksploatacija teretnih vagona po kapacitetu i vremenu za prijevoz robe koja se obavlja sa dva željeznička prijevozna sredstva na relaciji Gyekenyes - Koprivnica - Zagreb – Rijeka. Također će se usporediti osnovni eksploatacijski parametri vagona RGS-Z serije sa vagonima SGGNSS serije.Freight transportation by rail requires continuous investment and improvement of the existing transport service. Failure to invest in railway infrastructure, reduction in the quality of transport services, and reduction in the number of trains result in reduced transport demand in railway transport. This thesis analyzes the exploitation of freight wagons by capacity and time for the transport of goods, which is carried out with two railway means of transport on the route Gyekenyes - Koprivnica - Zagreb - Rijeka. Upravljanje skladištem je složeni proces. Sve što olakšava organizaciju i upravljanje zalihama je velika prednost. Krajnji cilj učinkovitog upravljanja skladištem je pružiti najbolju uslugu uz minimalne troškove. Pronalaženje te ravnoteže nije lak zadatak, ali nije ni nemoguć. Upravljanje skladištem definira se kao proces logističke funkcije koja prima, akumulira, čuva i premješta materijale unutar skladišta dok se ne potroše. Radi se o fizičkoj kontroli i zaštiti predmeta. Tijekom godina, kao što se razvijala logistika, mijenjalo se i značenje skladišta i povećavao opseg odgovornosti i zadataka u skladišnim procesima. Skladište pruža podršku sistematiziranoj i funkcionalnoj strukturi organizacije. Funkcije skladišta uključuju čuvanje, zaštitu, kontrolu i opskrbu materijala i proizvoda. Zahvaljujući napretku tehnologije proces upravljanja skladištem je postao precizniji i lakši.Warehouse management is a complex process. Anything that makes organization and inventory management easier is a big plus. The ultimate goal of effective warehouse management is to provide the best service at the lowest cost. Finding that balance is not an easy task, but it is not impossible either. Warehouse management is defined as the process of the logistics function that receives, accumulates, stores and moves materials within the warehouse until they are consumed. It is about physical control and protection of objects. Over the years, as logistics developed, the meaning of the warehouse changed and the scope of responsibilities and tasks in the warehouse processes increased. The warehouse supports the systematized and functional structure of the organization. Warehouse functions include storage, protection, control and supply of materials and products. The Influence of Shipboard Safety Factors on Quality of Safety Supervision: Croatian Seafarer’s Attitudes
According to the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), 70% of accidents on board were caused by human error, and almost one-fifth of these accidents have been related to inadequate supervision. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate which of the safety factors can influence the quality of safety supervision. For this purpose, a questionnaire with 24 statements was distributed to professional seafarers. Two exploratory factor analyses were conducted to identify the underlying factor structure. The first analysis yielded one factor, quality of safety supervision, and the second analysis yielded four factors, namely: safety communication, safety training, safety compliance, and safety rules and procedures. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was applied to examine the influence of seafarers’ demographic characteristics and the four identified factors on the quality of safety supervision. The results revealed the following two statistically significant predictors of safety supervision quality: safety communication and safety training. The theoretical and practical implications of the results in terms of improving the quality of safety supervision in the maritime industry were discussed and compared with results in other industrie

Svaki veliki sustav trebao bi prepoznati i znati upravljati svojim rizicima. Problem istraživanja u ovom radu su kvarovi na kontejnerskim dizalicama, jer je za obalne dizalice u procesu prekrcaja na kontejnerskom terminalu izuzetno važno prepoznati kritične kvarove i pridati im pozornost prilikom redovnog odnosno preventivnog održavanja. Da bi se operativni proces prekrcaja na terminalu odvijao bez zastoja uz osiguranje sigurnosti osoblja te na vrijeme prepoznali kvarovi koji predstavljaju najveći rizik može poslužiti metoda analize oblika i efekata kvarova, koja je odabrana za rješenje problema
procjene rizika u ovom radu. Provedeno je anketno ispitivanje osoba koji rade na kontejnerskom terminalu riječke luke o vrsti i učestalosti pojedinih kvarova na obalnim dizalicama. Potom je za svaki kvar ocijenjena razina ozbiljnosti, učestalosti i otkrivanja, na temelju čega su izračunom veličine prioriteta rizika isti rangirani. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju da najveći rizik ima fizičko oštećenje sajli dok je najmanji rizik predstavljaju neispravne nauglice kontejnera. Ovakav način istraživanja može doprinijeti budućem pravovremenom planiranju održavanja i preventivnog otklanjanja kvarova u svrhu neometanog odvijanja prekrcajnog procesa.Every large system should recognize and know how to manage its risks. The research problem in this paper is failures on container cranes, since it is extremely important, for quay cranes in the process of transhipment at the container terminal, to recognize critical failures and pay attention to them during regular or preventive maintenance. In order that the operational transhipment process at the terminal run efficiently, while ensuring the safety of staff and to identify failures that pose the greatest risk in a timely manner, the method of analyzing the forms and effects of failures can be used. This
method is recognized as appropriate for solving the problem of risk assessment in this paper and also contributes to their controlling. A survey of operators working at the container terminal of the Port of Rijeka was conducted, on the type and frequency of individual failures on shore cranes. The level of severity, frequency and detection was then assessed for each failure, on the basis of which they were ranked by calculating the size of the risk priorities. This method of research can contribute to the future timely planning of maintenance and preventive troubleshooting for the purpose of uninterrupted

Luke su od samih početaka svojih nastanka bile ključne u izmjeni ljudi i dobara. Od davnine
su ljudi shvatili kako je izmjena dobara putem mora i rijeka neophodna. Pošto se većina
svjetske izmjene dobara vrši upravo morskim putem, jasno je kako su luke globalni nositelji
ekonomije te bitne karike logističkih i dobavnih lanaca. Kako vrijeme napreduje, a ljudi
razvijaju tehnologiju i svoju okolinu, luke su se također morale prilagoditi te zauzeti i neke
nove funkcije. U početku su luke bile mjesto ukrcaja odnosno iskrcaja dobara, no danas luke
moraju biti mnogo više od samih luka. U globalnim dobavnim lancima luke moraju obavljati i
radnje poput skladištenja, distribucije te radnji koje dodaju vrijednost robi. Danas je posao
distribucije gotovo nemoguć bez distribucijskih centara. Dobro pozicioniranje i povezivanje
distribucijskih centara ključ je uspješnog poslovanja i dobrog logističkog lanca. Distribucijski
centri taktički se pozicioniraju nedaleko od luka kako bi djelovali u harmoniji i doprinosili
dobavnom lancu. Veoma je bitno da luka i distribucijski centar djeluju efektivno i efikasno te
konstantno povećavaju svoju učinkovitost. Luka Rotterdam je najprometnija i najveća
Europska morska luka, prevladava u uvozu i izvozu kontejnera i nafte. Njezini distribucijski
centri Venlo i Maasvlakte igraju veliku ulogu i pomažu u razvojuFrom the very beginning of their origins, ports have been crucial in the exchange of people and
goods. From time immemorial, people have realized that the exchange of goods by sea and
river is necessary. Since most of the world's goods are exchanged by sea, it is clear that ports
are global carriers of the economy and important links in logistics and supply chains. As time
progressed and people developed technology and their environment, ports also had to adapt
and take on some new functions. In the beginning, ports were the place of loading or unloading
goods, but today ports must be much more than the ports themselves. In global supply chains,
ports must also perform operations such as warehousing, distribution, and operations that add
value to goods. Today, the business of distribution is almost impossible without distribution
centers. Good positioning and connecting distribution centers is the key to successful business

and a good logistics chain. Distribution centers are tactically positioned not far from the port
to operate in harmony and contribute to the supply chain. It is very important that the port and
the distribution center operate effectively and efficiently and constantly increase their
efficiency. The Port of Rotterdam is the busiest and largest European seaport, it dominates in
the import and export of containers and mineral oil. Distribution centers Venlo and Maasvlakte
play big role in the development
Electric and hybrid vehicles in urban traffic
Električni i hibridni automobili su potrebni u vrijeme klimatskih promjena zbog svog pozitivnog utjecaja na okoliš u smislu smanjenja emisije stakleničkih plinova. U urbanom prometu ne stvaraju veliku buku, konstrukcijski su jednostavni i lako primjenjivi. Uz njihove prednosti dolaze i njihovi nedostatci u vidu cijene, slabo razvijene infrastrukture za punjenje energetski učinkovitih vozila, skupocjena zamjena baterija i recikliranje istih može dovesti u pitanje zdravlje okoliša. U radu je napravljena SWOT analiza koja se odnosi na električna i hibridna vozila u vidu njihovih prednosti tj. snaga, slabosti, prilika i opasnosti tj. prijetnji. SWOT analiza je korisna kako bi se moglo uvidjeti jesu li električna/hibridna vozila korisna za svakodnevnu upotrebu u urbanom prometu ili im je potreban daljnji razvoj da bi mogla biti korisna u svakodnevnom prometu u budućnosti.Electric and hybrid cars are needed in times of climate change because of their positive impact on the environment in terms of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In urban traffic, they do not create a lot of noise, they are structurally simple and easy to apply. Along with their advantages come their disadvantages in the form of price, poorly developed infrastructure for charging energy-efficient vehicles, expensive replacement of batteries and their recycling can call into question the health of the environment. In the paper, a SWOT analysis was made that refers to electric and hybrid vehicles in the form of their advantages, i.e. strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and dangers, i.e. threats. A SWOT analysis is useful to see if electric/hybrid vehicles are useful for daily use in urban traffic or if they need further development to be useful in daily traffic in the future
