Propulsion and environmental aspects of electric vehicles
Ovaj diplomski rad temelji se na sveobuhvatnom istraživanju električnih cestovnih vozila i njihovih aspekata. U uvodnom dijelu rada, istraženi su problemi, predmeti i objekti istraživanja, postavljena je radna hipoteza te definirani svrha, ciljevi i znanstvene metode istraživanja. Razmotrene su i analizirane vrste električnih vozila, uključujući električna vozila na baterije, hibridna električna vozila, plug-in hibridna električna vozila i vozila na vodik. Baterijska tehnologija istražena je u kontekstu proizvodnje, razvrstavanja, procjene stanja napunjenosti i pravila druge iskorištene baterije. Proučavanje elektromotora uključujući istosmjerni motor bez četkica (BLDC), preklopni relukcijski motori (SRM) i sinkroni motori s permanentnim magnetima (PMSM) pruža dublji uvid u ključne komponente električnih vozila. Ekološki aspekti i održivi razvoj istraženi su kako bi se bolje razumjelo kako električna vozila utječu na okoliš i doprinose održivosti cestovnog prometa. Analizirana je i infrastruktura za punjenje, različite vrste punionica i projekt NEXT-E. Ekonomski aspekti , poticaji i subvencije u Hrvatskoj uspoređeni su s praksom u drugim dijelovima svijeta. Ovaj rad pruža sveobuhvatan pregled električnih cestovnih vozila i njihovih ključnih aspekata. Razumijevanje različitih komponenata, ekoloških utjecaja i ekonomske dimenzije električnih vozila ključno je za promicanje održive mobilnosti u budućnosti.The dissertation is based on a comprehensive research of electric road vehicles and their aspects. In the introductory part of the work, the problems, subjects and objects of the research were investigated, the working hypothesis was set and the purpose, goals and scientific methods of the research were defined. Types of electric vehicles are discussed and analyzed, including battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and hydrogen vehicles. Battery technology is investigated in the context of production, classification, state of charge assessment and rules of other used batteries. The study of electric motors including brushless direct current (BLDC), switched reluctance motors (SRM) and permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) provides a deeper insight into the key components of electric vehicles. Environmental aspects and sustainable development were investigated to better understand how electric vehicles affect the environment and contribute to the sustainability of road transport. The charging infrastructure, different types of charging stations and the NEXT-E project were also analyzed. Economic aspects, incentives and subsidies in Croatia were compared with practices in other parts of the world. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of electric road vehicles and their key aspects. Understanding the different components, environmental impacts and economic dimensions of electric vehicles is essential to promote sustainable mobility in the futur
Analysis of the necessary qualification of persons responsible for managing remotely controlled vehicles
Svakim danom primjećuje se sve veći tehnološki napredak i razvoj. U takvim okolnostima od velike je važnosti da obrazovanje prati sve nove tehnološke korake kako ne bi došlo do zastoja u educiranju. Ovim diplomskim radom obavljena je analiza potrebne osposobljenosti osoba i njihovih kompetencija kako bi uspješno upravljale daljinski upravljivim ronilicama. Istraživanje identificira i analizira ključna znanja, sposobnosti i vještine koje su potrebne za sigurno i efikasno upravljanje ovim uređajima koji spadaju u kategoriju nove i napredne tehnologije. U radu je istražena generalna podjela ronilica, njihove tehničke karakteristike te uloge edukacije i obuke koje omogućuju operaterima uspješno nošenje s izazovima koji se pojavljuju tijekom podvodnih misija. Ovim istraživanjem omogućen je doprinos unapređenju industrije podvodnih tehnologija na način da operatori budu obučeni za odgovorno upravljanje daljinski upravljivim ronilicama i njihovim naprednim sustavima.Technology experiences new discoveries every day and is constantly advancing. In such circumstances, it is of a great importance that education follows all new technological steps so that there is no stagnation in education. This thesis deals with the analysis of competences of persons and their necessary training in order to successfully operate remotely operated vehicles. The research identifies and analyzes the key knowledge, abilities and skills needed to safely and effectively manage these devices of new and advanced technology. The thesis investigates the general division of ROVs, their technical characteristics and the role of education and training that enables operators to cope with the challenges that arise during underwater expeditions. The goal of this research is to add a contribution to the improvement of the underwater technology industry in such a way that operators have the necessary knowledge and skills for responsible management of remotely operated vehicles and their advanced systems
Innovative logistics solutions for improving the competetiveness of supply chains
Svako poduzeće, odnosno opskrbni lanac je svakodnevno i konstantno podložan naglim promjenama na tržištu na koje je potrebno pravilno odgovoriti i kojima se je potrebno prilagoditi, odnosno korigirati aktivnosti u samom opskrbnom lancu. Za početak, poduzeće treba definirati svoje proizvode koje će prodavati, odnosno usluge koje će pružati kako bi se sukladno tome izabrala prava strategija. Prije odabira prave strategije potrebno je definirati
probleme, izazove i rizike unutar i van opskrbnog lanca koji također mogu utjecati na odluku ovisno o proizvodu ili usluzi. Također tim je rizicima potrebno upravljati te strateški isplanirati logistiku kojom se odabire strategija. Najpoznatije osnovne strategije upravljanja i poslovanja opskrbnog lanca su Pull i Push strategije, Just in Time i Quick Response strategije te Lean i Agile strategije. U poslovanju se najčešće ne odabire samo jedna od tih strategija, već se iste kombiniraju kako bi se najbolje iskoristile prednosti svake, a eliminirali nedostaci. Nakon proučavanja strategija potrebno je definirati temeljne čimbenike prema kojima će se još sigurnije izabrati odgovarajuća strategija. Nakon odabira odgovarajuće osnovne strategije, današnjim naglim razvojem tehnologije i digitalizacije potrebno je u poslovanje uvesti neke inovacije, odnosno nove tehnologije koje služe kao inovativna logistička rješenja kojima se najčešće stvara konkurentnost. Ta inovativna rješenja podrazumijevaju implementaciju raznih tehnologija u svoje poslovanje, kao što su e-trgovina, Internet of Things i blockchain tehnologije te automatizacija i umjetna inteligencija na koje se nastavljaju autonomnost, odnosno autonomna vozila i bespilotne letjelice te proširena stvarnost i digitalni blizanci. Za analizu odabrane strategije, inovacija koje se upotrebljavaju i samog poslovanja odabran je Konzum d.o.o. kao opskrbni lanac za studiju slučaja.Every company or supply chain is daily and constantly subject to sudden market changes that need to be properly responded to and that need to be adjusted or corrected for activities in the supply chain itself. For starters, the company should define its products to be sold, i.e. the services to be provided in order to choose the right strategy accordingly. Before choosing the right strategy, it is necessary to define problems, challenges and risks within and outside the supply chain that may also influence the decision depending on the product or service. It is also necessary to manage these risks and strategically plan the logistics that selects the strategy. The most famous basic management and business strategies of the supply chain are Pull and Push strategies, Just in time and Quick response strategies and Lean and Agile strategies. In business, not only one of these strategies is usually chosen, but they are combined to make the most of each one's strengths and eliminate the shortcomings. After studying the strategies, it is necessary to define the underlying factors by which an appropriate strategy will be chosen even more safely. Following the choice of an appropriate basic strategy, today's rapid development of technology and digitalisation requires the introduction of some innovations, i.e. new technologies that serve as innovative logistics solutions that most often create competitiveness. These innovative solutions entail the implementation of various technologies into their business, such as e-commerce, Internet of things and blockchain technologies, and automation and artificial intelligence to which autonomy continues, namely autonomous vehicles and drones and augmented reality and digital twins. Konzum d.o.o. was selected as the supply chain for case study to analyse the selected strategy, innovations used and the business itself
Supply chain inventory management
Učinkovito upravljanje dobavnim lancem ovisi o uspješnoj orkestraciji više
komponenti, pri čemu je upravljanje zalihama ključni aspekt. Točno predviđanje potražnje ima
potencijal za preoblikovanje prakse upravljanja zalihama i podizanje performansi dobavnog
lanca. Ovaj rad istražuje zamršeni međuodnos između precizne prognoze potražnje i
optimizacije zaliha unutar višeslojnog konteksta dobavnog lanca. Analizirajući utjecaj točnosti
predviđanja potražnje na strategije upravljanja zaliha, koordinacije dobavnog lanca,
zadovoljstvo kupaca, smanjenje troškova, tehnološku integraciju i operativnu otpornost, ovaj
rad ima za cilj pružiti vrijedne uvide organizacijama koje žele poboljšati učinkovitost svog
dobavnog lanca. Kroz kombinaciju analiza i pregleda literature, ovaj rad pridonosi dubljem
razumijevanju strategija i mehanizama koji iskorištavaju točno predviđanje potražnje za
postizanje optimalnih rezultata upravljanja zalihama.Effective supply chain management hinges on the successful orchestration of multiple
components, with inventory management standing as a pivotal aspect. Accurate demand
forecasting holds the potential to reshape inventory management practices and elevate supply
chain performance. This research explores the intricate interplay between precise demand
forecasting and inventory optimization within a multi-tiered supply chain context. By analyzing
the impact of demand forecasting accuracy on inventory management strategies, supply chain
coordination, customer satisfaction, cost reduction, technological integration and operation
resilience, this study aims to provide valuable insights for organizations seeking to enhance
their supply chain efficiency. Through a combination of analysis and literature review, this
paper contributes to a deeper understanding of strategies and mechanisms that exploit accurate
demand forecasting to achieve optimal inventory management results
Ecological aspects of transport of dangerous goods by sea
Prijevoz opasnog tereta morem nezaobilazan je segment modernog vremena u
kojem živimo, međutim sa sobom nosi brojne rizike i opasnosti. Takva vrsta transporta
strogo je uređena zakonom, propisima i konvencijama. Ovaj rad istražuje transport štetnih
tekućih tereta u razlivenom stanju, te transport štetnih tereta u pakiranom stanju. Cilj ovog
rada je objasniti procedure transporta opasnog tereta morem, potencijalne opasnosti koje
takav transport sa sobom nosi, te zakonske regulative koje uređuju takav transport.Transportation of dangerous cargo by sea is an unavoidable segment of the modern
times we live in, but it carries with it numerous risks and dangers. This type of transport is
strictly regulated by law, regulations and conventions. This paper investigates the transport
of harmful liquid cargoes in a packaged state. The aim of this paper is to explain the
procedures for transporting dangerous goods by sea, the potencional dangers that such
transport entails, and the legal regulations governing such transport
Artificial intelligence in logistic
Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je pomnije istražiti upotrebu umjetne inteligencije u sferi logistike te analizirati njene prednosti i nedostatke u poslovanju. Iako je umjetna inteligencija još u svojim početnim fazama kada se pogleda poslovna implementacija pretpostavlja se da će u potpunosti promijeniti i unaprijediti logističko poslovanje.
Glavna primjena umjetne inteligencije u logistici pronalazi se u: automatiziranim skladištima, dostavnim dronovima, prediktivnom održavanju, optimizaciji rute, pomacima u pomorskoj industriji, autonomnim dostavnim vozilima i upravljanju zalihama. Implementacija umjetne inteligencije u logistiku donosi velik porast profitabilnosti poslovanja, poboljšava učinkovitost radnika, smanjuje troškove i povećava sigurnost zaposlenika. Jedini veliki nedostatak je skupa početna investicija implementacije.The goal of this diploma thesis is to investigate more closely the use of artificial intelligence in the field of logistics and to analyze its advantages and disadvantages in business. Although artificial intelligence is still in its initial stages when observing business implementation, it is assumed that it will completely change and improve logistics business.
The main applications of artificial intelligence in logistics are found in: automated warehouses, delivery drones, predictive maintenance, route optimization, developments in the maritime industry, autonomous delivery vehicles and inventory management. The implementation of artificial intelligence in logistics brings a great increase in business profitability, improves worker efficiency, reduces costs, and increases employee safety. The only major drawback is the expensive initial investment of implementation
Impact of ICT on regional supply chains in CEECs
Purpose: This paper aims to examine the impact of information and communication technologies and their availability in the Central and Eastern European countries that are members of the EU on regional value chains and regional supply chain management and logistics in CEECs in the context of the growing e-commerce industry.
Methodology: We used a balanced data panel of 11 countries over 9 years (2011-2019) to examine the impact of ICT indicators on regional supply chains. Th e analysis included the ordinal Spearman rank correlation coefficient and the panel GMM method, which accounts for endogeneity. We implemented the Arellano-Bond estimator within the GMM framework, considering the ordinal nature of the dependent variable. This approach allowed for an effective analysis of the complex relationships in the data, considering the panel structure and the individual country observations.
Results: The findings indicate that the hypothesis claiming that the integration of digital technologies in supply chains in CEEs leads to statistically significant improvements in efficiency, controllability, and cost-effectiveness, cannot be rejected. Enhanced communication, collaboration, and overall logistics performance have led to increased customer satisfaction. Additionally, the study shows a positive correlation between ICT infrastructure and logistics performance, emphasizing the crucial role of digital innovations in shaping supply chain dynamics.
Conclusion: The study supports the hypothesis that integrating digital technologies into supply chain management in Central and Eastern Europe is associated with enhanced efficiency, resilience, and economic integration through value-added export. These insights offer pathways to foster economic integration in the region
Atlas of Environmental Risks and Water Area Quality in Croatian Marinas
The lack of systematic mapping of water quality in the water areas of Croatian marinas hinders visualization and understanding of potential cumulative impact of marinas on the environment. The main goal of the research subject of this paper is forming an atlas of environmental risks and water area quality in Croatian marinas by implementing model of Marina Environmental Risk Assessment – MERA. Within the implemented model, input data are concrete and current data obtained through the questionnaire submitted to the management structures of Croatian marinas, which is an additional practical value of model and reasearch results. The implemented methodology and risk model of the impact of Croatian marinas on the environment in this paper provides an insight into the current situation and represents a significant basis for managing environmental risks and the quality of water areas in Croatian marinas
Fire protection on oil tankers
Tema ovog završnog rada je „Protupožarna zaštita na tankerima za prijevoz ulja“. U radu će se analizirati specifičnosti samoga tereta koji se prevozi, njegove potencijalne opasnosti prilikom prijevoza morem te mjere predostrožnosti koje se primjenjuju u svrhu izbjegavanja nastanka požara odnosno eksplozije. Spomenut će se radnje koje mogu prouzročiti samim požarom te će se obraditi i osnovni pojmovi kao što su gorenje, preduvjeti da bi došlo do gorenja, a naposljetku gašenje nastalog požara. Kako bi se uopće izbjegle navedene havarije potrebno je poznavati međunarodne propise i konvencije sve u svrhu što boljeg upravljanja brodovima u dijelu protupožarne zaštite.The topic of this final paper is „Fire Protection on oil tankers”. The paper will analyze the specifics of the cargo being transported, its potential dangers during sea transportation, and the precautionary measures that are applied to avoid the occurrence of fire or explosion. Actions that can be caused by the fire itself will be mentioned, and basic concepts such as burning, preconditions for burning to occur, and finally extinguishing the resulting fire will be covered. In order to avoid the aforementioned accidents, it is necessary to know international regulations and conventions, all for the purpose of the best possible management of ships in the area of fire protection
Bearings in centrifugal pumps
Centrifugalne pumpe imaju ključnu ulogu u brodskim sustavima za prijenos tekućina. Kako bi se osigurao pouzdan i učinkovit rad tih pumpi, od velike je važnosti korištenje visokokvalitetnih ležajeva. Ležajevi pružaju podršku rotaciji osovina pumpi, smanjuju trenje i vibracije te produžuju radni vijek pumpi. U ovom tekstu ćemo razmotriti različite primjene ležajeva u centrifugalnim pumpama na brodovima i istaknuti važnost njihovog pravilnog odabira.Centrifugal pumps play a key role in liquid marine systems for portable. In order to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of these pumps, it is very important to use high quality bearings. Bearings support the rotation of the pump shaft, reduce friction and load, and extend the working life of the pump. In this text, we will consider the various applications of bearings in centrifugal pumps on ships and highlight the importance of their proper selection
