    Generativna umjetna inteligencija (GAN) ključni je alat u logistici, koristeći algoritme strojnog učenja za generiranje novih podataka sličnih onima korištenim za treniranje. GAN omogućava stvaranje realističnih podataka koji nisu prisutni u izvornom skupu podataka, što je korisno u logistici. Primjena GAN-a donosi brojne prednosti, poput optimizacije skladištenja i distribucije, što omogućuje učinkovitije upravljanje zalihama i smanjenje troškova. Također, GAN se koristi za optimizaciju logističkih ruta, smanjujući vrijeme i troškove transporta. U predviđanju potražnje, GAN omogućuje preciznija predviđanja temeljena na analizi trendova i povijesnih podataka, što pomaže u prilagodbi strategija upravljanja zalihama. GAN poboljšava učinkovitost identificiranjem obrazaca u potražnji i dinamičkim prilagođavanjem zaliha, smanjujući rizik od viška ili manjka zaliha. Korištenjem GAN-a poduzeća bolje komuniciraju s dobavljačima i prilagođavaju svoje ponude. Unatoč izazovima implementacije, GAN ima velik potencijal za transformaciju logističkih operacija, čineći ga ključnom tehnologijom budućnosti.Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAN) is a powerful tool in logistics, using machine learning to generate new data similar to the original set. This ability makes GAN valuable for optimizing storage, reducing costs, and improving goods flow. It also aids in route optimization, decreasing transport time and costs. Accurate demand forecasting is vital for logistics. GAN enables better predictions based on trends and historical data, allowing companies to adjust production and inventory strategies. It supports effective inventory management by identifying demand patterns and dynamically adjusting stock levels, reducing the risk of shortages or excess. Additionally, GAN improves supplier communication by offering insights into market needs, enabling suppliers to adjust their offerings accordingly. Despite implementation challenges, GAN’s potential to optimize processes, forecast demand, manage inventory, and enhance supplier relationships positions it as a key technology for the future of logistics

    Autonomous road vehicles

    Ovom završnom radu cilj je opisati tehnologije autonomne vožnje uključujući njezin način rada, komponente, ulogu vozača, kao i pregled prilika i izazova povezanih s autonomnim vozilima. U početku se opisuje povijest, razvoj i porijeklo autonomnog vozila, kao i početni koncepti iza takvog vozila. Slijedi definicija pojma autonomnog vozila uz objašnjenje trenutnih razina automatizacije. Posebna pažnja posvećena je ugrađenim pametnim sustavima i uređajima, koji omogućuju vozilu da se samostalno kreće predviđenom rutom, poštujući sva pravila vožnje. Raspravlja se o zakonskoj regulativi i zakonima koji se odnose na autonomnu vožnju jer je ova industrija relativno nova i podložna stalnim izmjenama zakona. Komunikacijski sustavi su bitan dio ove teme jer s pomoću njih vozilo komunicira s okolinom (pješaci, infrastruktura, vozila) te su stoga sastavni dio sigurnosti na cesti. Zaključak je da će se cijela automobilska industrija, s godinama, sve više okretati prema razvoju autonomnih vozila, a kompanije poput Googlea i Amazona već ulažu u razvoj potpuno autonomne robotaksije taksije Waymo i Zoox.This final paper aims to describe the technologies of autonomous driving including its functioning, components, the role of the driver, as well as an overview of the opportunities and challenges associated with the autonomous vehicles. Initially, the history, development, and origin of the autonomous vehicle are outlined, so are the initial concepts behind such a vehicle. Definition of the term autonomous vehicle follows along with the explanation of the present levels of automation. Special attention is given to the embedded smart systems and devices, that enable the vehicle to move independently along the forecasted route, respecting all driving rules. Legal regulations and laws related to autonomous driving are discussed, as this industry is relatively new and subject to constant changes in the law. Communication systems are an essential part of this topic because the vehicle communicates with the environment (pedestrians, infrastructure, vehicles), therefore they are an integral part of the road safety. The conclusion is that the entire automotive industry will, over the years, turn more and more towards developing autonomous vehicles, and companies such as Google and Amazon are already investing in fully autonomous robotaxis Waymo and Zoox

    „Ro-Ro brodovi podjela i obilježja“ je završni rad u kojem će biti navedena povijest brodova Ro-Ro tehnologije te njihovim konstrukcijskim obilježjima i kako se teret treba učvršćivati to jest manipulacija tereta za sigurnu plovidbu. Ro-Ro brodovi su jedni od najefikasnijih radi lakoće ukrcaja/iskrcaja radi njihovih kotača. To su posebni brodovi koji imaju mogućnost rampi na pramcu, krmi i boku za ukrcaj tereta na kotačima sa vrlo jakim palubama. Njihova podjela u odnosnu na duljinu plovidbe te ovisno o njihovoj vrsti i namjeni, veličini i gazu.„Ro-Ro ships classification and features“ is a bachelor thesis in which it will be stated the history of Ro-Ro ships and their structural features also how the cargo should be secured and handled for a safe voyage. Ro-Ro ships are one of the most efficient because of the ease of loading and unloading because of thier wheels. They are special ships with a possibility of a ramp on thier bow, stern and sides for loading cargo on wheels with very strong decks.     Prijevoz opasnog i specijalnog tereta predstavlja specifične izazove i rizike koji zahtijevaju stroge propise i jedinstvene postupke rukovanja. U ovom radu istražuju se složenosti koje nastaju prilikom cestovnog prijevoza opasnih tereta propisanih od strane ADR sporazuma, te teških i vrlo teških vangabaritnih tereta. Također, u radu se poseban osvrt daje prijevozu transformatora i vjetroturbina za proizvodnju električne energije. Ispitivat će se tehnološki napredak, sigurnosne mjere koje se provode radi smanjenja rizika, uključujući upotrebu specijaliziranih vozila.Transportation of dangerous and special cargo presents specific challenges and risks that require strict regulations and unique handling procedures. This paper investigates the complexities that arise during the road transport of dangerous goods prescribed by the ADR agreement, as well as heavy and very heavy oversized loads. Also, in the paper, a special review is given to the transportation of transformers and wind turbines for the production of electricity. Technological advances, safety measures implemented to reduce risks, including the use of specialized vehicles

    Organization and implementation of multimodal transport and international shipping practices

    Osnovni problem istraživanja u ovom radu je analiza poslova i aktivnosti međunarodnog otpremnika u organizaciji i provedbi multimodalnog transporta. Sukladno definiranom problemu istraživanja u radu su obrađeni osnovni i specijalni poslovi otpremnika, odgovornost otpremnika i faze organizacije i provedbe multimodalnog transporta. Uz analizu fizičkog tijeka tereta u multimodalnom transportu, posebna pozornost u radu je posvećena dokumentacijskim tokovima, odnosno ispravama i dokumentima koji su prisutni u multimodalnom transportu. Faze organizacije i provedbe multimodalnog transporta ilustrirane su na praktičnom primjeru koji je dobiven u suradnji s tvrtkom CMA CGM. Iz navedenog primjera u praktičnom su smislu potvrđene sve teorijske determinante i specifičnosti uloge, poslova i odgovornosti otpremnika u realizaciji multimodalnog transporta.The main research problem in this paper is the analysis of the work and activities of an international shipper in the organization and implementation of multimodal transport. In accordance with the defined research problem, the basic and special tasks of the shipper, responsibility of the shipper and stages of organization and implementation of multimodal transport are covered in the paper. In addition to the analysis of the physical flow of cargo in multimodal transport, special attention in the work is devoted to documentation flows, i.e. documents and documents that are present in multimodal transport. The stages of organization and implementation of multimodal transport are illustrated on a practical example obtained in cooperation with the CMA CGM company. From the above example, all the theoretical determinants and specifics of the role, duties and responsibilities of the shipper in the implementation of multimodal transport have been confirmed in a practical sense

    Tema je bila analizirati poslove agenta posrednika. U radu se prvo govori o agentu posredniku kroz povijest i razvitku te djelatnosti. Navodi se koji su glavni uvjeti za registraciju agenta posrednika. Nakon što se dotaknemo osnovnih stvari i malo bolje upoznamo sa zanimanjem agenta posrednika, krećemo detaljnije analizirati tu djelatnost i što to ustvari ona predstavlja. Nabrajamo koji su svi poslovi koje jedan agent posrednik može obavljati i koja su njegova prava i dužnosti pri izvedbi istih. Na kraju rada se dodirujemo nekih osnovnih organizacijskih tijela i ugovora koja služe za oblikovanje te djelatnosti.The topic was to analyze the work of an shipbroker agent. The paper first talks about the shipbroker agent through the history and development of this activity. It states the main conditions for the registration of an shipbroker agent. After we touch on the basics and get a little better acquainted with the occupation of a broker agent, we start to analyze this activity in more detail and what it actually represents. We list all the jobs that an shipbroker agent can perform and what are his rights and duties when performing them. At the end of the paper, we touch up on some main organisational bodies and contracts that shape this activity

    Ovaj rad istražuje ulogu morskih luka u prometnom sustavu i njihov značaj za gospodarski razvoj. Morske luke kao ključne točke u globalnoj trgovini omogućuju povezivanje različitih dijelova svijeta i olakšavaju robnu razmjenu čime značajno pridonose razvoju nacionalnih i regionalnih gospodarstava. U radu je stavljen naglasak na analizu morskih luka u Europskoj uniji, s posebnim osvrtom na njihovu povezanost s TEN-T mrežama prometnica, kao i na ulogu morskih luka u Republici Hrvatskoj. Rad analizira kako morske luke djeluju kao dionici u gospodarstvu s posebnim fokusom na njihov utjecaj na regionalna gospodarstva, ulogu lučke infrastrukture u istome te utjecaj globalizacije na poslovanje luka. U završnom dijelu rada obrađuje se luka Hamburg kao primjer uspješne luke koja koristi napredne tehnologije i inovativna rješenja, što je čini uzorom za hrvatske luke u pogledu poboljšanja operativnih postupaka i povećanja učinkovitosti. Zaključno, rad ističe važnost kontinuiranog ulaganja u tehnologiju i ljudski kapital za održivi razvoj morskih luka. Luka Hamburg je prepoznata kao model koji hrvatske luke mogu slijediti kako bi unaprijedile svoje poslovanje. Rad također naglašava potrebu za preusmjeravanjem europskih politika prema poticanju inovacija i razvoju ljudskog kapitala, što bi moglo donijeti dugoročne koristi za konkurentnost morskih luka i regija u kojima se nalaze.This paper investigates the role of seaports in the transport system and their importance for economic development. Seaports, as key points in global trade, enable the connection of different parts of the world and facilitate the exchange of goods, thus significantly contributing to the development of national and regional economies. The paper focuses on the analysis of seaports in the European Union, with special reference to their connection with the TEN-T road networks, as well as the role of seaports in the Republic of Croatia. The paper analyzes how seaports act as stakeholders in the economy, with a special focus on their impact on regional economies, the role of port infrastructure in the same, and the impact of globalization on port operations. The final part of the paper deals with the port of Hamburg as an example of a successful port that uses advanced technologies and innovative solutions, which makes it a model for Croatian ports in terms of improving operational procedures and increasing efficiency. In conclusion, the paper highlights the importance of continuous investment in technology and human capital for the sustainable development of seaports. The Port of Hamburg is recognized as a model that Croatian ports can follow in order to improve their operations. The paper also highlights the need to reorient European policies towards fostering innovation and human capital development, which could bring long-term benefits for the competitiveness of seaports and the regions in which they are located

    Rail transport in practise : (case study: rail cargo logistics)

    Željeznički promet je usko povezan sa otpremništvom. Može se okarakterizirati kao složeni dio prometne grane, a otpremnička djelatnost kao kompleksna. Stoga, jedno ne bi moglo funkcionirati samostalno bez drugog. Povećana uporaba željeznice pridonijela bi boljoj kvaliteti života, tj. bilo bi znatno manje zagađenja nego drugim oblicima prometa. Također, željeznica stvara manja zagađenja po količini prevezenog tereta. Primjerice, prilikom otpreme jednog kontejnera iz Kine do Rijeke uštedi se otprilike 1.040 kg CO2. U ovom radu je obrađena uloga otpremništva, odnosno logistike u organizaciji željezničkog prijevoza dobara (kontejnera) kao i uska povezanost sa samim prijevozom. Detaljno je objašnjen djelokrug poslovanja logistike – svi potrebni koraci u organizaciji prijevoza na primjeru poslovanja firme Rail Cargo Logistics – Croatia d.o.o.Railway traffic is closely related to fright forwarding. It can be characterized as a complex part of the transport branch as well as freight forwarding. Therefore, one could not function independently without the other. Increased use of the railway would contribute to a better quality life, i.e. there would be singificantly less pollution. Also, railway creates less pollution per amout of transported cargo. For example, when shipping one container from China to Rijeka, approximately 1,040 kg of CO2 is saved. This paper shows the part of freight forwarding, i.e. logistics in the organization of rail transport of goods (containers) as well as the close connection with the transport itself. The scope of logistics is explained in detail – all necessary steps in organization of transport are explained in detail using the example of the buisness of the company Rail Cargo Logistics – Croatia d.o.o

    Ovaj rad obuhvaća uvid u primjenu i analizu Inmarsat FleetBroadband sustava za komunikaciju u pomorstvu. Satelitske komunikacije su temelj moderne komunikacije diljem svijeta, stoga je u ovom radu objašnjen njihov princip rada, različiti aspekti i značajke takvih komunikacija. Uz to, istaknuta je važnost te način primjene satelitskih komunikacija na brodu, to jest u pomorstvu. Budući da je tema ovog rada FleetBroadband sustav tvrtke Inmarsat, za lakše razumijevanje i praćenje sadržaja su obrađene podteme vezane uz njhov cjelokupni satelitski sustav. Te podteme se odnose na različite dijelove Inmarsat-ovog satelitskog sustava, poput svemirskog i zemaljskog segmenta te područja pokrivenosti satelita. Naposljetku, glavni dio rada je primjena i analiza FleetBroadband sustava. Time su navedene i objašnjene različite primjene FBB sustava u pomorstvu te su analizirana njegova sklopovlja i sastavne komponente.This paper includes insight into the application and analysis of the Inmarsat FleetBroadband maritime communication system. Satellite communications are the basis of modern communication around the world, so this paper explains their working principle, various aspects and features of this type of communication. In addition, the importance and applications of satellite communications on board ships, that is, in maritime in general, was highlighted. Since the topic of this paper is the FleetBroadband system of the company Inmarsat, subtopics related to the their entire satellite system have been covered for understanding the content more easily. These subtopics relate to different parts of Inmarsat's satellite system, such as the space and ground segments and the satellite coverage area. After all, the main part of the paper is the application and analysis of the FleetBroadband system. The various applications of the FBB system in the maritime sector are listed and explained, as well as its circuitry and components

U tome im pomažu stručni kadrovi, analize, vlastiti kapital i financijska sredstva, kao i mogućnost zaduživanja radi ostvarenja ciljeva, primjerice nabavke novih brodova. Različiti oblici zaduživanja uključuju kredite, leasing, bilančno financiranje i financiranje iz javnih izvora. Svaki od tih načina ima svoje prednosti i mane kako za primatelja tako i za davatelja pozajmice. Da bi se to pobliže dočaralo uzet je primjer Firme „MKM YACHTS d.o.o.“ koja je uz pomoć Riječkog brodogradilišta „3.MAJ“ napravila najluksuzniji polarni ekspedicijski kruzer na svijetu „Scenic Eclipse II“.To remain competitive in the market, shipping companies must continuously improve their services, staff, and technical infrastructure, including their fleet of ships. They are aided in this endeavor by skilled personnel, analyses, their own capital, and financial resources, as well as the option to borrow funds to achieve their goals, such as acquiring new vessels. Various forms of borrowing include loans, leasing, balance sheet financing, and financing from public sources. Each of these methods has its own advantages and disadvantages for both the borrower and the lender. To illustrate this more closely, consider the example of the company "MKM YACHTS d.o.o." which, with the assistance of the Rijeka Shipyard "3.MAJ", built the world's most luxurious polar expedition cruise ship, the "Scenic Eclipse II"
