Comparison of artificial intelligence image generation algorithms
U ovom diplomskom radu opisan je rad različitih modela Stable Diffusion-a kao i tehnologije koje su potakle razvoj istih modela. Opisana je kratka povijesti razvoja tih modela te tehnologije zaslužne za njihov razvoj. Svaki od modela je ispitan kroz niz različitih testiranja od brzine generiranja slika do kvalitete pojedinih stilova izgleda slika te su potom međusobno uspoređeni. Testirana je rad tih modela gdje pokušavaju replicirati stil crtanja poznatih umjetnika kao i mogućnost generiranja fotorealističnih slika koje mogu zavarati ljude da su original.This master thesis describes the work of different Stable Diffusion models as well as the technologies that stimulated the development of the same models. A brief history of the development of these models and the technology responsible for their development is described. Each of the models was tested through a series of different tests, from the speed of image generation to the quality of individual image appearance styles, and then they were compared to each other. The work ability of these models was tested, where they try to replicate the drawing style of famous artists, as well as the possibility of generating photorealistic images that can deceive people that they are original
Odgovornost prijevoznika za štete na teretu
Ovaj rad se bavi analizom i opisom odgovornosti prijevoznika za štete na teretu. U prvom dijelu, rad razmatra osnovne pojmove i karakteristike važne za uspješno obavljanje pomorskog prijevoza. Posebna pažnja posvećena je ugovoru o prijevozu stvari morem, pri čemu su detaljno obrađeni svi njegovi segmenti.
Drugi dio rada posvećen je međunarodnim konvencijama i pravnim dokumentima, uključujući njihov povijesni razvoj i trenutnu primjenu u regulaciji odgovornosti prijevoznika za štete. Analiziraju se Haško-Visbijska , Hamburška i Roterdamska pravila, te njihov utjecaj na praksu pomorskog prijevoza.
Treći dio rada fokusiran je na samu odgovornost prijevoznika. Istražuju se pitanja kao što su definicija štete, odgovornost prijevoznika u odnosu na različite vrste šteta, te specifični slučajevi u kojima prijevoznik nije odgovoran, osim ako nije postupao neodgovorno. Detaljno su obrađeni aspekti odgovornosti, izuzeća i ograničenja odgovornosti.
Na kraju rada donose se zaključci o ključnom značaju pomorskog prijevoza i potrebi za donošenjem nove konvencije koja bi dodatno regulirala ovaj sektor.This paper deals with the analysis and description of carrier liability for cargo damage. In the first part, the paper examines the basic concepts and characteristics essential for the successful execution of maritime transport. Special attention is given to the contract for the carriage of goods by sea, with all its segments being elaborated in detail.
The second part of the paper is dedicated to international conventions and legal documents, including their historical development and current application in regulating carrier liability for damage. The Hague-Visby, Hamburg, and Rotterdam Rules are analyzed, along with their impact on maritime transport practice.
The third part of the paper focuses on the liability of the carrier itself. Issues such as the definition of damage, the carrier's liability in relation to different types of damage, and specific cases where the carrier is not liable unless they acted irresponsibly are explored. Detailed aspects of liability, exemptions, and limitations of liability are discussed.
In the conclusion, the paper presents key findings on the importance of maritime transport and the need for a new convention to further regulate this sector
Communication and Interpersonal relationships in the Company
U ovom diplomskom radu objašnjena je komunikacija i međuljudski odnosi, te njihova uloga i važnost u poduzeću. Poduzeće predstavlja skupinu ljudi s ciljem ispunjavanja zadataka i zajedničkog cilja, što ukazuje na potrebu za kvalitetnom komunikacijom i međuljudskim odnosima. Razradom procesa komunikacije, načela zdrave komunikacije, utjecaja međuljudskih odnosa na poslovanje te strategija unaprjeđenja kvalitete istih, rad prikazuje navedene faktore u poduzeću kao ključne za interni i eksterni razvoj te uspješnost svih razina poslovanja. Rad je posvećen i analizi pojma sukoba, kao i razlogu nastajanja sukoba te načinju rješavanja. U posljednjem dijelu, uz pomoć anketnog upitnika, na praktičan su način prikupljeni i analizirani stavovi i mišljenja ispitanika glede važnosti komunikacije i međuljudskih odnosa u poduzeću čime su dokazane polazne hipoteze rada.This thesis explains the subject of communication and interpersonal relationships, as well as showing their role and importance in the company. A company represents a group of people working to achieve a common goal, which points out the need of having a quality level of communication and interpersonal relationships within. Breaking down the terms such as communication process, principals of healthy communication and strategies for interpersonal relationships development, the thesis shows the importance of given factors as crucial for internal and external development of the company all around. The thesis also analizes the term of conflict, together with source of their happening and ways of resolving. Finally, through an online survey, this thesis uses a practical approach to prove the importance of communication and interpersonal relationships in the company
Coastal zone management and principles of good practice
Pomorska politika je dio državne politike pomoću koje vlada rukovodi pomorstvom i pomorskim djelatnostima kako bi se more iskoristilo i očuvalo kao prometni put i resurs. Integrirana pomorska politika teži uskladiti ciljeve različitih djelatnosti kako bi oni bili kompatibilni. Obalno područje je zona u kojem se susreću kopno i more te obuhvaća dio kopna i obalnih voda. Obalna područja imaju veliki značaj jer obiluju dragocjenim prirodnim resursima. Upravljanje obalnim područjem integralna je sastavnica prostornog planiranja. Koncept integralnog upravljanja obalnim područjem (IUOP) predstavlja ostvarivanje koncepta održivog razvoja. IUOP teži očuvati i obnoviti prirodne resurse, zaštititi bioraznolikost ekosustava, ostvariti održiv gospodarski razvoj, uzima u obzir interese svih dionika, smanjuje troškove i reducira rizike. IUOP se odvija u fazama, a najčešći instrumenti koje koristi su policy analiza (PA), geografsko-informacijski sustav (GIS), teledetekcija, tehnike vrednovanja i procjene te regulatorna i ekonomska sredstva provedbe. Prilikom planiranja i provođenja projekata IUOP-a treba se pridržavati načela dobre prakse.Maritime policy is a part of state policy by which the government manages shipping and maritime activities in order to use and preserve the sea as a transport route and resource. An integrated maritime policy aims to harmonize the objectives of different activities so that they are compatible. The coastal zone is the zone where land and sea meet and includes part of the land and coastal waters. Coastal zones are of great importance because they are rich in precious natural resources. Coastal zone management is an integral component of spatial planning. The concept of integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) represents the realization of the concept of sustainable development. ICZM strives to preserve and restore natural resources, protect ecosystem biodiversity, achieve sustainable economic development, takes into account the interests of all stakeholders, reduces costs and risks. ICZM takes place in phases, and the most common instruments used are policy analysis (PA), Geographic Information System (GIS), remote sensing, evaluation and assessment techniques, and regulatory and economic means of implementation. When planning and implementing ICZM projects, the principles of good practice should be adhered to
Sensors in intelligent transportation systems
Pojava različitih tehnologija omogućila je razvoj inteligentnih transportnih sustava i u vezi s
njima primjenu u automobilskoj industriji. Korištenje inteligentnih transportnih sustava odnosi
se prije svega na senzorske tehnologije. Danas se sve češće javlja potreba za osiguravanjem
sigurnosti prometa svim korisnicima stoga se s pomoću umjetne inteligencije nastoji osigurati
potpuna autonomija u vozilima. Senzorske tehnologije u vozilima i prometu omogućavaju
značajno veću sigurnost u prometu, lakše odvijanje prometa i udobnost vozačima. Toyota je
jedan od dobrih primjera upotrebe senzorskih tehnologija u vozilima i jedan je od lidera koji
potiče ostale proizvođače na primjenu takvih tehnologija. U budućnosti se može očekivati sve
veća autonomnost vožnje koju prate sigurnost i mogućnost osiguravanja vožnje svakom
korisniku.The emergence of various technologies has enabled the development of intelligent
transportation systems and their application in the automotive industry. The use of intelligent
transportation systems primarily involves sensor technologies. Today, there is an increasing
need to ensure traffic safety for all users, which is why artificial intelligence is being used to
achieve full autonomy in vehicles. Sensor technologies in vehicles and traffic provide
significantly increased traffic safety, smoother traffic flow, and comfort for drivers. Toyota is
one of the prime examples of utilizing sensor technologies in vehicles and is one of the leaders
encouraging other manufacturers to adopt such technologies. In the future, increasing autonomy
in driving can be expected, accompanied by safety and the ability to provide driving for every
user
What is Preventing the Wider Use of Digital Currencies?
The aim of this paper is to broaden the discussion on the main barriers to the use of digital currencies. The main problem of the research conducted arises from the fact that trust in digital currencies is highly dependent on public opinion, legal regulations and understanding of the technical aspects. Although they offer significant advantages such as transparency, traceability and low transaction costs, the markets for cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and therefore too risky for broad social acceptance. In this paper, topological data analysis (TDA) is used to investigate multiple currencies. TDA is primarily used to gain more insight into market activity, volatility and the connection between coins or tokens, as well as information about the market itself. Given the growing interest in cryptocurrencies and investing in recent years, the paper addresses the need for informed decision making in an evolving market. Vulnerabilities in exchanges, private wallets and trading wallets are examined and analyzed
Analysis of the largest seaports in the European union
Završni rad analizira morske luke Europske unije. U radu se prikazuju informacije o značenju, funkcijama i vrstama morskih luka, kao i o njihovim sudionicima te karakteristikama. Analizira se promet tereta u najvećim morskim lukama Europske unije na temelju podataka iz razdoblja od 2018.-2022. Na kraju rada raspravlja se o budućnosti morskih luka, njihovoj važnosti te o ulaganjima u infrastrukturu i suprastrukturu kako bi se održala konkurentnost na tržištu i u globalnoj ekonomiji.The final paper analyzes the seaports of the European Union. The final paper presents information on the meaning, functions and types of seaports, as well as on their participants and characteristics. Cargo traffic in the largest seaports of the European Union is analyzed based on data from the period 2018-2022. At the end of the paper, the future of seaports, their importance and investments in infrastructure and superstructure are discussed in order to maintain competitiveness on the market and in the global economy
Rudder and rudder function : influence on the maneuvering properties of the ship
Kormilo je osnovni alat za kontrolu smjera broda, omogućujući promjenu kursa i
vraćanje na željeni kurs ako do promjene dođe radi utjecaja vanjskih čimbenika. Učinkovitost
kormila ovisi o brzini broda, veličini i dizajnu kormila, te specifičnim karakteristikama broda.
Veće kormilo pruža veću silu i bolje manevriranje u ograničenim prostorima, dok oblik i kut
otklona kormila utječu na stvaranje razlike tlakova i ukupnu silu kormila.
Brza i precizna reakcija kormilom ključna je u hitnim situacijama i ograničenim
akvatorijima kako bi se izbjegao sudar. Efikasno upravljanje brodom također zahtijeva
razumijevanje interakcije kormila s drugim komponentama broda. Ispravan dizajn kormila i
vještine posade osiguravaju sigurnost i uspješno manevriranje brodom.The rudder is the basic tool for controlling the direction of the ship, allowing to change the course and return to the desired course if the change occurs due to the influence of external factors. The effectiveness of the rudder depends on the speed of the ship, the size and design of the rudder, and the specific characteristics of the ship. A larger rudder provides greater force and better maneuverability in confined spaces, while the shape and deflection angle of the rudder affect the creation of a pressure difference and the overall force of the rudder. A quick and precise rudder reaction is essential in emergency situations and limited waters to avoid collisions. Effective ship management also requires an understanding of how the rudder interacts with other ship components. The correct design of the rudder and the skills of the crew ensure the safety and successful maneuvering of the ship

Ovaj završni rad bazira se na tropskim ciklonima, odnosno na njihovom nastanku i utjecaju na plovidbu. Spomenuti su najpoznatiji zabilježeni cikloni u svijetu kao i štete koje su prouzrokovali.
Posebno je izdvojen dio o nastanku i životu ciklona što je izuzetno bitno za rad svakog nautičara. Opisuju se i prirodne pojave koje su često vezane u sam nastanak tropskih ciklona.
Završni rad se sastoji od šest dijelova. Prvi dio govori općenito o tropskim ciklonima, drugi dio o vrstama tropskih ciklona te njihovim karakteristikama. U trećem dijelu se spominju karakteristični cikloni za pojedina područja. Četvrti i peti dio govori o kretanju ciklona kao i mogućnostima plovidbe u području ciklona. Šesti, odnosno zadnji dio govori o izbjegavanju ciklona za vrijeme plovidbe.This work is based on tropical cyclones, on their origin and impact on navigation. The most famous recorded cyclones in the world are mentioned, as well as the damage they caused.
There is a special section on the origin and life of cyclones, which is extremely important for the work of every sailor. Natural phenomena are also described, which are often linked to the very creation of tropical cyclones. The thesis consists of six parts.
The first part talks about tropical cyclones in general, the second part about the types of tropical cyclones and their characteristics. In the third part, characteristic cyclones for individual areas are mentioned. The fourth and fifth parts talks about the movement of cyclones as well as navigation in the area of cyclones. The sixth, or last part talks about avoiding cyclones during navigation
Selection of transportation mode on intermodal traffic corridors
Prometna politika Europske unije zalaže se za preusmjeravanje robnih tokova s cestovnog na unutarnji plovni promet i željeznički promet. Razvoj unutarnje plovidbe i povezivanje različitih transportnih modova utjecat će na bolje uključivanje prometnog sustava Republike Hrvatske u Transeuropsku prometnu mrežu (engl. Trans-European Transport Network, TEN-T). Očekivani porast prometa roba u luci Rijeka i prognozirano povećanje tranzita prema širem europskom okruženju ukazuju na potrebu optimiranja ruta s aspekta izbora optimalnog transportnog modaliteta u odnosu na troškove transporta i negativni utjecaj na okoliš. Sukladno navedenom, u ovom se istraživanju analiziraju osnovne zakonitosti i čimbenici formiranja tranzitnih robnih tokova Republike Hrvatske prema prostorima Istočne Europe unutar Transeuropske prometne mreže te mogućnosti preusmjeravanja intermodalnih robnih tokova s cestovnih na željezničke koridore i koridore unutarnjih plovnih putova. Osnovna svrha istraživanja je formiranje modela izbora transportnog moda najpovoljnijih karakteristika u raspodjeli robnih tokova na intermodalnim koridorima. S ciljem ostvarenja navedene svrhe istraživanja definirani je osnovni cilj istraživanja koji se odnosi na izradu modela izbora transportnog moda najpovoljnijih karakteristika korištenjem metode neizrazite logike. Model je primijenjen na intermodalnim prometnim koridorima, na Mediteranskom koridoru i koridoru Osnovne mreže u željezničkom prometu i unutarnjoj plovidbi, uvažavajući relevantne zakonitosti i kriterije formiranja robnih tokova na intermodalnim koridorima (kriterij infrastrukture, kriterij transportnih sredstava, kriterij svojstva robe, kriterij negativnog utjecaja na okoliš i ekonomsko-organizacijski kriterij). Uvažavajući relevantne kriterije i varijable koji objedinjuju veliki broj utjecajnih parametara, primjenom neizrazite logike za kvantifikaciju ekspertnog znanja, utvrđena je vrijednost indeksa izbora transportnog moda, kompozicija modela, odabir varijabli energetske učinkovitosti, zagađenja okoliša, transporta robe u povratnom smjeru te varijabli fleksibilnosti poslovne politike ili stupnja sklonosti određenom vidu transporta koje dosad nisu bile korištene. Jedinstven model izbora transportnog moda formiran je u odnosu na željeznički promet i promet unutarnjim plovnim putovima. Izrađen model izbora transportnog moda najpovoljnijih karakteristika na intermodalnim koridorima manifestira znanstveni teorijski i aplikativni doprinos istraživanja, budući je model primjenjiv na bilo koji intermodalni prometni pravac za potrebe prometnog odlučivanja pri planiranju i izboru najpovoljnijeg transportnog moda uvažavajući aktualne kriterije i konstelaciju na tržištu robnih tokova.The traffic policy of the European Union advocates for the redirection of the flow of goods from road traffic to inland waterways and rail traffic. The development of inland navigation and the connection of different modes of transport will influence the further inclusion of the traffic system of the Republic of Croatia in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). The expected rise in the flow of goods at the port of Rijeka and the forecasted increase in transit towards the wider European circles highlight the need for optimization of routes in the aspect of transport mode seelction according to the costs of transport and the negative environmental impact. With all this in mind, this thesis analyzes the basic rules and factors that form the transit flow of goods from the Republic of Croatia towards East Europe within the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the possibility of redirecting intermodal goods flows from road to rail corridors and inland waterway corridor. The aim of the thesis is the development of a transport mode selection model with optimal characteristics according to the distribution of the flow of goods through the intermodal corridors. In order to achieve the stated research purposes, the main objective of the research is to create a transport mode selection model with the most favorable characteristics by using fuzzy logic. The model is applied to international traffic corridors, the Mediterranean Corridor, and the Core Network Corridor in railway traffic and inland navigation by accepting the relevant rules and criteria for forming the flow of cargo through the intermodal corridors (criteria of infrastructure, criteria of transporting resources, criteria of property characteristics, criteria of negative environmental impact and criteria of economics and organization). By taking into account the relevant criteria and variables, which unite a larger number of influential parameters, with the application of fuzzy logic to quantify expert knowledge, the value of the index of transport mode selection, the composition of the model, the selection of variables of energy efficiency, environmental pollution, transport of cargo in the return direction, and the variable of flexible business policy, or the degree of attachment to certain transport modes that have not been used before. A universal model of the mode selection model for transport has been formed in relation to railway and inland navigation waterways. The developed transport mode selection model on intermodal corridors manifests the scientifically-theoretical and applied contribution of the research since the model is applicable to any intermodal transport direction for the needs of traffic decision-making when planning and choosing the most favorable transport mode while taking into account the current criteria and constellation on the market of cargo flows
