Projected and User-Generated Destination Images: A Case Study of Instagram Posts in Poble Nou de Benitatxell
When promoting a tourist destination, it is important to understand
tourists’ perceptions and images of the destination to implement an
efficient marketing strategy. Furthermore, tourists cocreate and generate
content when traveling and using social media. Therefore, this study aims
to analyze in depth the images projected by tourism professionals and
those published by users and tourists. In this case study of the Benitatxell
municipality in Spain, images published by the official Benitatxell
tourism account on Instagram are analyzed and compared with
photographs posted by users. The results revealed differences in several
categories, mainly people, sea, mountain, and gastronomy. In doing so,
the importance of the type of published content of tourism destinations
and tourists is shown.2023-2
Response surface analysis exploring congruence and incongruence patterns on mother-adolescent perceived maternal rejection
This study analyzes congruence and incongruence between mothers and adolescents on perceived maternal rejection as a predictor of externalizing and internalizing problems. The sample comprised 162 Spanish families (adolescent, father, and mother). The children (38.3% males, 98.8% Caucasian) were between the ages of 12 and 16 years old (M=13.27, Sd=1.23). Mothers and adolescents completed specific versions of the Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire, and fathers completed the Child Behavior Checklist. Polynomial regressions, including the quadratic and interaction terms of the predictors and response surface analysis, were conducted. The results indicate a congruent effect in predicting externalizing problems from mothers’ and adolescents’ reports on perceived maternal rejection. Thus, congruence between adolescents and mothers on high perceived maternal rejection is associated with the highest levels of adolescent psychological maladjustment, and congruence between adolescents and mothers on low perceived maternal rejection is associated with the lowest levels of adolescent psychological maladjustment. In contrast, the magnitude—but not the direction—of incongruence in perceptions between mothers and adolescents has a positive effect, as it is associated with a decreased risk of externalizing problems. This study contributes to existing knowledge surrounding the importance of employing multiple-informant assessment and using appropriate approaches to study discrepant reporting by mothers and adolescents on family variables, and its effect on adolescent mental health.Spanish Government, Ministery of Science and Innovation.CRUE-CSIC agreement with Springer Nature2023-2
Optimized Wind Power Plant Repowering and Green Hydrogen Hybrid Solutions: Synergies for a Sustainable Energy Transition
This paper provides a methodology for the optimal selection of wind-hydrogen hybrid systems, combining repowered wind power plants and green hydrogen production. The methodology aims to maximize the electricity and hydrogen generation, promote the industrial sector cooperation, and minimize associated costs and emissions in line with Sustainable Development Goals 7, 9, and 13. It is evaluated in three scenarios considering a real case study: (i) just repowering, (ii) repowering with surplus for hydrogen production, and (iii) repowering with specific turbines for hydrogen production. From the results, the third scenario fulfil the best the objectives of the three Sustainable Development Goals considered, maximizing the clean energy generation (ranging in between 160—240 GWh/year of electricity, and 1500—3000 ton H2/year), industrial collaborations (using the hydrogen for fuels in ovens, mobility, and specific consumption and reserve), and CO2 emissions (up to 15%), and minimizing the hybrid system costs up to 130,000€. However, successful implementationwould require significant additional investments in research, development, and deployment on a global scale, along with supportive policies and regulatory frameworks to encourage adoption and development.2024-2

The role of big five traits and self-esteem on academic procrastination in Honduran and Spanish university students: A cross-cultural study
Academic procrastination, a prevalent issue in higher education, has been associated with various
adverse outcomes. This study aims to discern and compare the degrees of academic procrastination among university students in Honduras and Spain while also investigating the relationship
between academic procrastination and the Big Five personality factors alongside self-esteem. The
sample comprised 457 university students, encompassing 237 Hondurans and 220 Spaniards. The
research employed descriptive, comparative, correlational, and regression analyses. Honduran
university students exhibited a significantly lower level of academic procrastination. Correlational analyses revealed that self-esteem and all Big Five personality factors, except for neuroticism in the Spanish cohort, displayed noteworthy associations with academic procrastination.
Further regression analyses demonstrated that conscientiousness emerged as a significant predictor of procrastination in both samples. This study’s findings can be pivotal in identifying
students at risk of procrastination at an early stage. Additionally, the results can inform the
development of intervention programs designed to mitigate procrastination tendencies among
university students.2023-2
Efectiveness of online university training on entrepreneurial intentions: towards a sustainable and socially just Post-Covid 19 future
The COVID-19 pandemic has generated a major global economic crisis with significant job
losses. Entrepreneurial intention attempts to protect and create jobs. During this period,
a greater degree of Corporate Social Responsibility was implemented by several
companies, shaping a sustainable response to the crisis. This more sustainable and fairer
vision of entrepreneurship can be fostered by online university training, as it helps to
avoid the ravages of the crisis among students by not requiring physical presence but
greatly hindering their ability to learn. This paper aims to explore the effectiveness of
online university training on entrepreneurial intentions based on this new sustainable and
fair vision of entrepreneurship. Qualitative research on the response to an open-ended
questionnaire by Spanish entrepreneurs who have received university training in
entrepreneurship adjusted to experience and applying a service-learning methodology (n
= 51). The results show the effectiveness of this training on entrepreneurship in general,
particularly on potential and intrapreneurship. This effectiveness manifests in specific
employment issues, relationships with stakeholders, teleworking with implications for the
labor market insertion of women and people with disabilities, the benefits for the local
society and the rest of the stakeholders, and entrepreneurs’ quality of life and happiness.
These effective results also extend to women and adult entrepreneurs, which favors the
entrepreneurship of those who have difficulties attending university.Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA)2023-2

Analysis of biomagnetic blood Carreau hybrid nanofluid flow in stenotic arteries with motile gyrotactic microorganisms: Response surface optimisation
Cardiovascular diseases remain a leading cause of death globally, with stenosis playing a significant role in their development. Blood flow dynamics within stenosed arteries are intricate and influenced by various factors, including nanoparticles and microorganisms. This study actively investigates the flow behaviour of biomagnetic blood Carreau tetra hybrid nanofluid within stenotic arteries containing motile gyrotactic microorganisms through response surface optimisation. The formulation is rooted in the Carreau model, elucidating non-Newtonian fluid behaviours, incorporating the Lorentz force to address the magnetic field effects, and integrating the convective-diffusion equation to model microorganism transport. We derived numerical solutions using the built-in solver in MATLAB, i.e. ODE45. The computational domain encompasses a two-dimensional stenosed artery featuring a sinusoidal stenosis profile. We characterise the inlet conditions with fully developed Carreau fluid flow accompanied by a uniform magnetic field, while the outlet conditions involve a zero-pressure gradient. The arterial walls are assumed to be rigid and non-slip. Response surface optimisation employs the central composite design method to minimise pressure drop across the stenosis, yielding optimal values for input parameters, including magnetic field strength, nanoparticle concentration, and microorganism concentration. The study discerns the substantial influence of nanoparticles and microorganisms on flow behaviour within stenosed arteries, underscoring the efficacy of response surface optimisation in flow behaviour optimisation. Limitations include assumptions of steady flow and simplifications in artery geometry, suggesting avenues for future exploration, particularly in transient flow dynamics and three-dimensional artery geometries. The validation of the numerical simulations demonstrates strong alignment with published data.2024-2
