Darbuotojų saugos ir sveikatos politikos stiprinimas Malaizijoje: Valstybės tarnautojų informuotumo tyrimas
CC BYAccident and fatality rates in the workplace are anticipated to rise constantly over
the next few years. Extensive occupational safety and health studies have been conducted in various
sectors, yet little attention has been paid to the public sector. This study aims to explore civil servants’
awareness on occupational safety and health (OSH). A survey was conducted in a public university
to examine the relationship between OSH awareness and the civil servants’ safety understanding,
self-preventive attitudes and self-care practices. The findings revealed that the majority of the
respondents have a high understanding of OSH. A correlation analysis indicated that safety
understanding, self-preventive attitudes and self-care practice have a positive association with OSH
awareness. The highest correlation is between self-preventive attitudes and OSH awareness (r = .732,
p < .05). The multiple correlation disclosed F (3,128) = 92.93, p < .000 with an R2 of .24. A
significant linear relationship between safety understanding, self-preventive attitudes and self-care
practices predicting the OSH awareness with the strongest correlation is between self-preventive
attitudes (β = .29, p < .05). The findings suggest that public organisations focus on implementing the
OSH guidelines and regulations to minimise occupational hazards at work
Lyginamieji pavyzdžiai (lyginamoji medžiaga) ekspertiniam tyrimui
Authors of the article intended to remind the general rules of gathering of
comparative material for forensic examination. It seems that this is very clear
and routine procedure performing pretrial investigation, but the forensic practice
shows that due to unqualitative comparative materials every second or
third identificational examination is delayed due to the request for gathering of
additional qualitative comparative examples. Therefore, authors of the article
presents very clear definition of comparative material, the legal bases for its
gathering, general classification and peculiarities of its performance

Jungtinių teritorinių bendruomenių komunikacijos indeksas Ukrainos Europos integracijos politikos sąlygomis
CC BY-NC-ND 4.0This article deals with the development of the communication capacity index of united territorial communities (UTCs), as the analysis of basic research on the communicative develop-
ment of communities demonstrates the urgency of the need to measure this process. Therefore, in this
work, researchers set the purpose of determining the Communication Capacity Index of UTCs in the
context of Ukraine’s European integration policy. To do this, the authors used the method of analysis of
statistical data and passport characteristics and the comparative approach. As a result of the analysis
of four communication levels (information, consultations, dialogue, partnership) of township UTCs
in the Mykolaiv region, the UTCs with the highest and the lowest Communication Capacity Indexes
(CCі) were revealed, and are outlined in tables and diagrams. As conclusions of this research, the specifics and regularities of the communication interaction of UTCs (in the example of township UTCs
of the Mykolaiv region) are determined
The Assessment of the Specific Use of Knowledge in Criminal, Civil, and Administrative Proceedings
Special knowledge utilization is interdisciplinary and complex,
covering a number of general rules and governing the entire process of the utilization
of special knowledge. The specifics of the use of special knowledge have
a unified methodological basis, especially in expert activities: they are determined
by the different purposes of proceedings (criminal, civil, administrative),
different procedural rights and obligations of subjects, and procedures for the
use of special knowledge.
Realizing that the content of expertise itself can be more fully disclosed in
the context of the evidence process, the authors of this article systematically
analyze the assessment of expertise in individual court proceedings and continue
scientific discussion on the possibility of unifying the use of expertise in legal
proceedings and regulatory harmonization
Associations between Leisure Preferences, Mindfulness, Psychological Capital, and Life Satisfaction
CC BYThis study intended to explore which leisure preferences contribute to mindfulness, psychological capital, and life satisfaction and assess whether mindfulness, psychological capital, and
life satisfaction are associated with different leisure preferences. This study applied the Satisfaction
with Life Scale (SWLS), the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ-12), the Mindful Attention
Awareness Scale (MAAS), and the instrument to evaluate the prevalence of leisure preferences. A
sample consisted of 586 participants, 104 males and 478 females. The mean age of participants
was 42.06, SD = 13.29. The results show that respondents who did not spend free time watching
television scored higher on life satisfaction, mindfulness, and psychological capital. Participants who
preferred attending events scored higher on life satisfaction and psychological capital. Participants
who preferred spending time with family as a leisure preference scored significantly higher on life
satisfaction, mindfulness, and psychological capital, including PsyCap overall, PsyCap work, PsyCap
relationship, and PsyCap health. The findings also reveal that time spent with family is significantly
associated with life satisfaction. Besides, males’ life satisfaction was significantly associated with
time spent in nature, while females’ satisfaction was associated with spending time with family and
participating in events. Males’ mindfulness was significantly associated with book reading, and
females’ mindfulness was associated with not watching television. Males’ psychological capital was
significantly associated with spending time with family and book reading, and females’ psychological
capital was associated with not watching television but spending time with family, participating in
events, and spending time in nature. The findings also showed that mindfulness mediated the link
between watching television and life satisfaction, and psychological capital mediated links between
spending time with family, participating in events, and life satisfaction. The findings demonstrate that
life satisfaction is also significantly associated with spending time with family as a leisure preference.
This study also revealed a significant negative association between age and spending time with
friends or family, evidencing the possible loneliness of elderly respondents. Due to limitations of this
study, including sample size and characteristics, cultural context, and research design, the research
findings would preferably be regarded thoughtfull
Monitoring the Sustainability of Small and Medium Business in the Regions of Ukraine Based on the Resource Approach
The features of small and medium business in Ukraine require an integrated approach to sustainability
management, which includes taking into account the positions of key stakeholders and their resource contribution to
business activities. The main guideline in sustainability provision is the detection and scanning of social requirements,
as well as adequate and timely response to the stakeholders’ requests. The purpose of the research is to monitor the
level of imbalance of resource exchange between small and medium business and its key stakeholders in the regions
of Ukraine. Based on the results of modeling the resource interaction of small and medium business with the main
stakeholders, the vectors of the "ideal" and "real" resource exchange structure were constructed. The difference in the
structures of these vectors reflects the imbalance of the existing resource exchange in the system, which can be
expressed by the ratio of imbalance. The smaller the value of this ratio, the more balanced is resource exchange. It is
proved that small businesses have an increased need for strong personal relationships with the local community and
authorities. It is important for companies to identify the importance of stakeholders according to their resource
contribution. To form a strategy of sustainability it is necessary to understand which of the stakeholders’ groups make
the greatest contribution to the imbalance between the "ideal" and "real" resource exchange structure
Kaliningrad Transit: Implementation Principles and Issues
Lithuania is a small country with limited natural and other resources and market, so it is why Lithuania
is interested in being as open to the world as possible. The geographical location of Lithuania between the West
and the East and its membership in the Schengen area help to be open as much as possible. Lithuania's status as
a transit country is valued and recognized in the world. For this reason, one of the priority areas of our country
is an efficient transit system, with an efficient transit procedure. Kaliningrad transit also plays an important role
in the general transit system of Lithuania.
Kaliningrad transit is an integral part of EU law. This is a special EU agreement with the Russian Federation.
The Kaliningrad region is a typical enclave surrounded by the European Union, an integral part of the Russian
Federation that has no direct land connection with its continent.
The study aims to assess Lithuania's role and powers in the implementation of Kaliningrad transit and its control.
The article, using the analysis of scientific literature and legal acts, aims to assess the aspects of legal regulation
and the general situation regarding Kaliningrad transit scheme, to identify problematic aspects, and to suggest
possible solutions
Miestų apgyvendinimas ir miestiečių elgsenos keitimasis aplinkosaugos politikos atžvilgiu pietryčių Nigerijoje: poveikis aplinkos politikos administravimui ir tvarumui
CC BYEnvironmental pollution as well as the sustainability of the natural environment is
the product of behavioural exchange obtainable in a particular geographical setting and space of
time but reconciled by policy and administration approaches obtainable from public institutions. As
a mark of policy design obtainable in each behavioural setting, each environmental setting has its
own expected behavioural disposition towards its design, more or less the symbolic identity of the
people living in the setting. However, libertarian paternalism as a policy design approach as well as
a policy option creates an outlook of observation of human rights as well as system-induced
behavioural modifications for maximum cooperation and policy sustainability. In southeast Nigeria
among the six geopolitical zones of the country, environmental pollution has appeared as an identity
for many cities over the years. While some scholars have looked into the matter from other
dimensions, a research design targeting the essence of symbolic behavioural exchange in the
understanding of the issue of urbanites and environmental policy administration and affecting natural
environmental management and urbanites still needs to be created. Applying the theoretical
framework of libertarian paternalism and a survey research design, this study adopted a coherent
analysis to capture the behavioural exchanges towards the natural environment between urbanites
and government institutions implementing environmental management policies. This was
substantiated through primary data obtained via a quantitative data collection instrument, involving
640 respondents (aged 18+) from southeast Nigerian urban communities. The study adopted
descriptive statistics as well as a linear model to analyse the data obtained. According to the findings
of the study, there is evidence of wide environmental pollution behaviour among urbanites, a weak
policy framework, and implementation elicited covert anti-environmental protection behaviour (R=
0.481, F= 38.097& P= .000). Commitment to environmental protection depended on the policy
awareness and the public trust of the government institutions managing the environment; awareness
of environmental issues, etc. (R= 0.906, F= 238.090 & P= .000). Government policies and the
functionality of the government institutions managing environmental issues affected the public knowledge of the natural environment and support to the public policy on the management of the
natural environment among urban settlers in southeast Nigeria (R= 0.818, F= 256.838& P= .000)
