The Use of Free Web-Based Mind Mapping Tools in the Studies of ESP: A Review of Research
Purpose: This study aims at presenting a research review of the effective use of
free web-based mind-mapping tools in the studies of English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
in higher education. Mind maps, whether paper-and-pencil or web-based, are one of
the best-known logical organization tools. In the Typology of Free Web-based Learning
Technologies (Bower & Torrington, 2020), mind mapping tools fall under the cluster of
Image-based tools and are described as educational tools that support the development
of images to represent interrelated concepts in the form of a visual knowledge network
that can be shared via URL. They can be used to represent conceptual and even meta-cognitive understanding. The category of mind mapping in the Typology includes such
web-based freeware as Bubbl.us, Mindomo, WiseMapping, MindMup, Popplet, Mind42,
Mindmeister, Slatebox, Coggle or DebateGraph
Causality between FDI in Real Estate and Tourism Growth: County-level Data from Croatia
CC BY-NC-ND 4.0Croatia is a developed tourist destination that is overly dependent on tourism.
Looking at the Croatian economy, the first thing that catches one’s eye is the role that tourism plays
in its structure. It is a frightening fact that tourism generates almost a quarter of Croatia’s GDP.
Tourism in Croatia has been growing steadily for years, and before the COVID-19 pandemic, Croatia began to face the problem of over-tourism. The real estate market in Croatia is also recording
continuous rates of price growth, especially with regard to the attractive coastal region. Foreign
direct investment (FDI) in real estate in Croatia became significant during the second decade of the
21st century, and today real estate is in second place if one looks at the structure of FDI in Croatia
according to the National Qualification of Activities. In the last 10 years, real estate has accounted
for 17.8% of all FDI in Croatia. Given the attractiveness of Croatia as a tourist destination, it is not
surprising that its real estate market draws attention. The main goal of this paper is to determine
the causal link between FDI in real estate and tourism at the level of Croatian counties in the period
from 2007 to 2020. The research results found the existence of a one-way causal relationship running
from international tourist arrivals to FDI in real estate at the 5% level of significance
Restrengthening the role of supreme audit agency in supervising state-owned enterprises?
CC BYMany parties have questioned the existence of the State Audit Agency to supervise State-Owned Enterprises. The Indonesian
Constitutional Court decided on verdicts 62/PUU-XI/2013 and 26/PUU-XIX/2021 regarding the position of the Supreme Audit Agency as
the external supervisor of State-Owned Enterprises. This study compares how Indonesia and Hungary, two countries that follow the civil
law system, place the Supreme Audit Agency (Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan and Állami Számvevőszék) in their legal system. Moreover,
this paper explores and confronts the legal doctrines and legislations of the two countries in auditing and strengthening the corporate
governance of public companies. In conclusion, this study explains that Indonesia and Hungary regulate Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan and
Állami Számvevőszék in their Constitutions as the fundamental law and further regulate it in the Act as a complementary law. Both
countries used the Board or Collegiate model of audit institution and assigned the Supreme Audit Agency as a protector of state assets by
preventing fraud and strengthening good corporate governance in the management of State-Owned Enterprises

Historical and Modern Tendencies of the Right to Self-Expression
As an independent concept, self-expression is the subject
of intense attention from legal scholars around the world. Depending
on certain legal traditions, views on the definition of self-expression, its
limits, the limits of possible regulation, etc., differ. This article primarily
examines the European legal tradition and the place of self-expression
in it through an analysis of the historical roots of the concept of self-expression,
the predecessors of this concept, and the current state of affairs.
First, the main emphasis is placed on the analysis of trends in the
concept of self-expression, taking into account modern European Union
legislation, ideas for its development, the existing legal provisions of the
European countries, and the current political situation. The analysis of
historical tendencies, the works of other scholars, the law of the European
Union, and judicial precedents form a basis of this work, and the results
of their analysis form the conclusions of this article
Kaip fiskalinė pinigų politika lemia ekonomikos augimą? Vietnamo atvejis
CC BY-NC-ND 4.0This study investigates the mixed impact of fiscal-monetary policies on economic
growth in Vietnam, an emerging economy in the Asia-Pacific region. The Vector autoregressive method (VAR), a quantitative technique, is employed on a quarterly database collected in 2004–2018.
The cointegration test indicates a long-term cointegration relationship between these macroeconomic
policies and the growth of gross output. The variance decomposition and impulse response function
conclude that the impacts of these policies on economic growth are quite weak and faint. However,
our results indicate that monetary policy is more significant than fiscal policy in supporting economic
growth. The results imply that these economic policies may give priority to other macroeconomic
objectives instead of promoting economic growth in the studied period. Hence, policymakers need to
have more solutions to improve the efficiency of these policies in Vietnam in the future
Motivation, Correction, Foreign Language Acquisition through the Use of Psycholinguistic Tests
Purpose: Our task was to develop psycholinguistic tests in order to identify the
motivation to study a foreign language, collect all the material for the further correction
of the educational process, and create a positive attitude for foreign language learners.
We then introduced these tests into our teaching program
Law as an Instrument for Ensuring Public Security
Public security is closely linked to the concept of public authority. Law is understood as one of the
important instruments for ensuring public security and in its modern form it is not conceivable or functional
without addressing the issues of formal publication. The legal order as a whole is subject to a number of pressures
that ultimately reduce the necessary degree of stability of the law. The belief in the almost unlimited possibilities
of legal regulation is at odds with the real possibilities of legislative action. The volume of legislation regulating
the activities of public authorities and the public security segment is steadily growing and is becoming difficult to
be understood and grasped by the stakeholders. The paper concludes by outlining the problematic cases
encountered by public authorities in the Czech Republic. The recent state of crisis legislation in the legal and
security environment of the Czech Republic is also mentioned
