Public Value Public Services at R. Ali Manshur Jatirogo Regional Hospital
Public value is a popular way to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of public services. This research aims to describe the public value of public services at R. Ali Manshur Jatirogo Regional Hospital. This research uses descriptive research with qualitative data analysis techniques. The technique for determining informants uses Purposive Sampling and Snowball Sampling. The focus of this research is described according to public value theory which consists of legitimacy and support, operational capabilities, and substantial value. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research data was analyzed using Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques using data reduction, simplification, abstraction, and data transformation. Based on the research results, it was found that the public services of R. Ali Manshur Jatirogo Regional Hospital have largely fulfilled the elements of public value theory. However, there are still shortcomings, such as the absence of blood bank services and a family waiting room which is still in progress. The R. Ali Manshur Jatirogo Regional Hospital always tries to make improvements to these deficiencies. However, in several cases, the researchers did not receive sufficient information from R. Ali Manshur Regional Hospital. So, it can be concluded that there is still a little lack of openness in certain matters, but it can be said that public services at R. Ali Manshur Jatirogo Hospital have quite good public value
Effectiveness Program for Women Head of Family (PEKKA) In Sukabumi City
One effort to empower a woman with a special to woman head family is the PEKKA program. The PEKKA program began with many activity themes, including microfinance institutions, micro, small businesses, and strengthening the law for justice, lifelong education, the right to strengthen a political position, and the right to public health. In implementing family development policies by implementing efforts to eradicate poverty, especially for women heads of families, empowerment of women is carried out, one of which is the holding of a program for women heads of families or commonly called PEKKA. The purpose of this study was to determine how far the effectiveness of the Women Heads of Family Program in Sukabumi City has been. There are 4 dimensions in the theory used, namely the accuracy of program targets, program socialization, achievement of program goals, and program monitoring. the method used in this study is a qualitative method using a descriptive approach. With interview data collection techniques, observation and documentation. The results showed that the effectiveness of the women-headed household empowerment program was not yet effective because it had not yet maximally achieved the success objectives of the female-headed household empowerment program (PEKKA), it was still not optimal in achieving program targets, and the socialization carried out to the wider community was not evenly distributed. Public Service Responsiveness: Handling Homeless People with Psychotics in the UPTD Liponsos Keputih Surabaya
Surabaya City is the largest population center of people with severe mental disorders (ODGJ) in East Java Province where the number of ODGJ Surabaya City increased in 2019 from 5503 people to 5519 people in 2020. The increasing number of ODGJ or psychotic vagrants affects the development and growth of the country both in terms of health, social, economic, human rights (HAM) and so on. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with a case study approach. This study aims to explain the responsiveness of the Surabaya City government, especially the Social Office in maximizing the UPTD Liponso Keputih Surabaya by looking at the elements of speed, accuracy, and clarity of public services in dealing with the problem of homeless people with psychotic people in the city of Surabaya. The results of this study show that Liponsos' ability to respond to the community is good, as seen from its commitment to deal with the problems of people with social welfare problems, especially homeless people with psychotics by compiling operational service standards that are measurable and strengthened by Mayor Regulation Number 36 of 2016 starting from the speed and accuracy of service, as well as clarity of service in accordance with standard operating procedures
Optimizing the Management Function of the “LYN” City Transportation Route
Joyoboyo intermodal terminal needs to get optimal management after undergoing revitalization due to the decrease in the number of city transportation. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Department of Transportation in optimizing the management function of the Lyn city transportation route at the Joyoboyo Intermodal Terminal, Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a focus based on the public sector role theory from Jones, namely: the regulatory role, enabling role, and direct provision of goods and services. The results of the study stated that the role of the Transportation Department in Surabaya was quite optimal in optimizing the management function of the Lyn city transportation route, characterized by: 1) regulatory role, through the preparation of control programs, renewal of the retribution payment system, division of route lanes, and rejuvenation of the transportation fleet in accordance with regulations. determined so that the role is carried out optimally. 2) enabling role, through the implementation of the control program, renewal of the retribution payment system, division of route lanes, and rejuvenation of the designated transportation fleet, the obstacles faced were caused by the decline in passengers, so that the implementation of the role was quite optimal. 3) direct provision of goods and services, through evaluation meetings and listening to driver complaints as a form of supervision and control role is carried out quite optimally, because the transportation fleet rejuvenation program is still lacking in coordination with city transportation driver
Smart Village Governance: Citizen Participation In Panggungharjo Village-Owned Enterprise
This study focuses on participation in the implementation and influence of community participation on the application of Smart Village in Village-Owned Enterprise. In the theory of community participation in the implementation phase, there are indicators to measure community participation, namely participation with energy, participation with money, participation with goods, and also participation with ideas. This research uses a quantitative approach with data collection, namely questionnaires and literature study. The population number of studies was 28141 people. The sample calculation results in this study were 100 respondents. The survey results are then processed using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that of the four indicators of community participation mentioned above, two of them influence the development of Smart Village. At the same time, the other two do not affect the development of Smart Village. Indicators that influence the development of Smart Village are participation with energy and participation with goods. In other words, residents of Panggungharjo Village participated in the implementation of the Smart Village in Village-Owned Enterprise and donated some of the items needed to develop the Sustainable Village-Owned Enterprise Panggung Lestari. Whereas participation with money and participation with ideas do not influence the development of Smart Village. The recommendation in this study is that the village government or Village-Owned Enterprise managers can increase community participation in various ways such as involving the community directly in the management of Village-Owned Enterprise and providing space for the community to contribute actively to the form of physical participatio
Comparative Review of Personal Data Protection Policy in Indonesia and The European Union General Data Protection Regulation
Data leakage is one of the high potentials for criminal acts in cyberspace. The Indonesian government passed the Personal Data Protection Act (UU PDP) to ensure the security of every citizen's personal data. This study aims to compare the policies of the Personal Data Protection Act with the European Union General Data Protection Regulations (EU-GDPR). This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with data from previous studies and official releases from the Indonesian government and the European Union. The results of this study illustrate that the PDP Law and the EU-GDPR have the same arrangements regarding the rights of personal data subjects. In the data processing aspect, the principle of processing personal data in the PDP Law is not mandatory. In contrast, in the EU-GDPR, the principle of processing personal data is mandatory. In the aspect of controlling and processing personal data, both rights and responsibilities are almost the same, both for the PDP Law and the EU-GDPR. In the aspect of imposing sanctions, EU-GDPR is more apparent in the mechanism of imposing sanctions in the form of fines. While in the PDP Law, sanctions consist of administrative sanctions, criminal sanctions, and criminal fines, the mechanism of imposing sanctions is not yet clear.
Improving the Quality of Public Services: Study of Implementation of Minimum Service Standards (SPM)
In particular, when it comes to providing fundamental services to the populace, minimum service standards are well-positioned to address significant challenges in the implementation of regional or local administration. With actions chosen by the government, Minimum Service Standards (Generally known as SPM) implementation must ensure that the general public has access to essential services from regional or local governments. The goal of this research is to describe how SPM was used to raise the standard of public services in Coppo Tompong Village. The methodology in this study is qualitative. data gathering through observation, discussion, and documentation. Analyses of descriptive and qualitative data were employed. The study's findings indicate that while things have been going well, there is still room for improvement in terms of facilities and infrastructure due to poor management and budgetary allocations for unplanned natural catastrophes, including Covid-19. In accordance with the author's findings, more infrastructure and facilities need to be acquired in order to assist enhancing the quality of service in the Mandalle sub-district village of Coppo Tompong.
Analysis of Economic Policy in the Middle East in the Classical and Contemporary
The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic system in the Middle East based on the available literature. The research method used is content analysis in the type of semiotic analysis. This type of semiotic content analysis method is considered in accordance with the data used by researchers, namely literature or text, both verbal and nonverbal. The results of this study indicate that the economic system in the Middle East is considered dynamic. This condition occurs to compensate for the complex problems in the region. However, among 10 countries in the Middle East, only Syria is closed about the economic system used by its country. The economic system in the Middle East does not seem to be fixated on the long history of the development of economic thought in the early days of Islam, the arrival of Western colonialism, the emergence of nation states in the Middle East, to the explosion of the potential wealth of natural resources of the Middle East in contemporary times
The Emergence of National Interest: The Impactful Trigger for Arab Israeli Normalization
The normalization of relations between the United Arab Emirates and Israel from August to September 2020 marked a new chapter in Middle East geopolitical dynamics. Although this normalization began with hopes of Israeli-Palestinian peace through the Abraham Accords, the reality has been quite the opposite. Israeli violence against Palestinians and the construction of illegal settlements continue, sparking condemnation and rejection from various parties, including Muslims and Palestinian supporters.This research is motivated by the normalization agreement of four Arab countries with Israel in a short time span. The reason is the four Arab countries understand that this normalization agreement will receive bad perspective regarding their contribution to the struggle for Palestinian independence. Sources of data in this study came from national and international journals, as well as report data from national and international news media related to this topic. The research method used in this study is qualitative method with geopolitical approach. The theory used by the researcher is the paradigm of political realism proposed by Morgenthau and the existential theory proposed by Samuel P. Huntington. This article concludes that the motivation of Arab countries in carrying out normalization is the national interest of each country and the stability of the country and region
Sisi's Regime: Military Domination of Egypt's Economy
Egypt's economy has been stagnant since the January 2011 revolution, who overthrew the president at that time, Hosni Mubarak. In March 2014, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced his intention to run for president of Egypt. All kinds of deficits such as budget, and trade have reached alarming levels. The purpose of this research is to describe the steps of the Sisi regime in implementing authoritarian principles and (2) to describe the economic progress felt by the Egyptian people with the application of these principles. The research method used in this study is content analysis. The data used is primary data from texts relevant to the research title. The research shows that Sisi's military leadership is indeed strong in the presidency. However, this has not been successful in attracting investment from other countries due to the unstable political situation. The people hope that Sisi will create jobs for them and ensure economic and political stability. This will allow the Egyptian economy to improve along with a conducive situation and the influx of foreign investment, which can support the development of the private business sector
