Final Semester Student Academic Resilience Level
Get PDFThe purpose of this research was to measure the academic fortitude of seniors completing their capstone projects. A total of 202 students from different private institutions in Central Java participated in this study, which was based on a survey research design. After data cleaning, 3 records did not pass muster due to incomplete thesis processes, reducing the usable data set to 199 students. According to the findings, no significant gender difference in academic resilience was found (assuming an equal variance; sig (2-tailed) value of 0.097 > 0.05). After running the independent samples test for comparison, it is clear that the assumption of equal variance holds. Since 0.097 is greater than 0.05, the significance level is two-tailed. This indicates that male and female students are equally resilient in the classroom. This may indicate that students are not very resilient in the face of academic challenges as they enter the final phase of their studies, which often involves writing a thesis. There is also no discernible difference in the distribution of academic resilience between sexes; the vast majority of both sexes fall into the low category
A Study on the Nationalization of Piano Works in Southwest China

These elements encompass a wide range of expressions, including ethnic folk songs, dance music, and instruments from various ethnic minorities. Composers of these piano works engage in extensive research and investigation to assimilate the essence of local ethnic music culture, infusing it into their compositions.
Objective: This research aims to analyze the interplay between piano compositions and ethnic music culture in southwestern China. It seeks to uncover how piano music and ethnic music converge, intertwine with their respective cultural roots, and ultimately give rise to innovative and distinctive musical styles.
Results: The findings of this study underscore the impressive capabilities of Chinese composers to navigate the complex tonal systems and rich cultural tapestry inherent in Chinese ethnic music. Through their inventive compositions, these composers not only pay tribute to tradition but also contribute to the ongoing evolution of Chinese music. This dynamic fusion of tradition and creativity ensures that Chinese music continues to thrive as a vibrant and enduring cultural expression on the global stage.
Conclusion: The research illuminates the remarkable confluence of piano music and ethnic music culture in southwestern China. By merging diverse cultural elements and embracing the complexity of rhythms and improvisational creativity, composers create compositions that resonate with profound depth and richness. This dynamic fusion not only preserves tradition but also propels Chinese music into a dynamic and ever-evolving realm, ensuring its enduring presence in the global musical landscape.

Impact of Social Responsibility Activities Organized by Management Institutes on the Psychological Well Being of Students and Teachers
Get PDFThis research paper investigates the impact of Social Responsibility Activities organized by Management Institutes on the psychological wellbeing of students and teachers. Hypotheses were formulated to assess the positive influence of these activities on participants. A quantitative research methodology was employed, utilizing Likert-based questionnaires to gather data from a diverse sample of 252 students and 213 teachers. The results of one-sample tests revealed a highly significant and positive impact on both groups, with mean differences significantly above the Likert scale midpoint. These findings underscore the importance of integrating Social Responsibility Activities into educational settings, emphasizing their role in enhancing psychological wellbeing, job satisfaction, mental health, and overall sense of purpose for students and teachers alike
Victimisation and Citizen Security in the Municipality of Ica 2022
Get PDFThe study aims to demonstrate the relationship between victimisation and citizen security in the municipality of Ica -2022. The sample consisted of one hundred (100) people from the total population of victims of a crime, information that serves as support for this research. The technique was the survey. The instrument developed for both variables was the questionnaire, which obtained a reliability of 0.950 for the survey of the variable Citizen Security and 0.939 for the variable Victimization of the commune, both obtained by means of Cronbach’s Alpha. To obtain the results, hypothesis testing was carried out using Spearman’s Rho, showing the existence of a relationship between victimisation and citizen security in the commune of Iquique 2022 (rho=.260; p<0.05). The conclusion is. That the police-community binomial, in the police jurisdiction of Ica, mitigates the victimization being necessary to continue working together and thus to guarantee a social stability
Minors’ Consent to Medical Treatment (Abortion) Minor’s Right Vs Parental Consent
Get PDFMy Body, My Rights" is a campaign from Amnesty International that seeks to draw a spotlight on the idea that everyone has the right over their body including women\u27s and girls\u27 autonomy over their own reproductive systems. Abortion is controversial and more complex when it involves a minor. Owing to the outdated and unclear abortion law in Malaysia as well as the underdeveloped legislation governing minor permission for medical treatment, the issue of minor assent to abortion is rather unusual. Similarly, a minor in the United Kingdom could consent to medical treatment including abortion without parental consent, this article\u27s goal is to ascertain minors in Malaysia could have the same right. This article, employing a doctrinal comparative method compares the law on consent to medical treatment including consent to abortion in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. This article will first give a brief idea about abortion followed by literature on the for and against parental involvement in minors’ decisions on abortion. Further is the analysis and comparative study with the English Law on consent to medical treatment including abortion to which this article reached a conclusion that abortion law including the legislative framework involving minors consent to medical treatment as a whole, should be reformed. This article is significant because it reflects a lacking of the legislative framework on minors’ consent to medical treatment, therefore paving the way for additional research on the area of minors’ consent to medical treatment involving the issue of abortion from a Malaysian perspective.

Psychological Effect of Mobile Learning on the Performance and Attitudes of Nursing Students during Covid-19 at Nursing College, King Khaled University
Get PDFBackground: The appearance of COVID19 virus obligated the world to remote learning. Mobile applications are one of the most accessible methods. The study is done to evaluate how mobile learning can affect both performance and attitudes of students in the nursing field.
Study design and subjects: an interventional study included 70 third-years nursing students enrolled in the study by using simple random sampling technique. Two groups were obtained by dividing the sample in to study group using mobile and control group which depend on the traditional methods.
Setting: The study was carried out at College of Nursing, ABHA, King Khalid University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Three data collecting tools used in this study including questionnaire about the knowledge, the student clinical evaluation checklist, and the attitude scale toward mobile learning.
Results: the intervention group achieved a satisfactory knowledge level (85.7%) but control group nursing students had an unsatisfactory knowledge in about (65.7%). About half of nursing students who used mobile during their learning process received excellent+ and excellent grades,(34.3% and 20%, respectively), compared to 14.3% and 5.7% of those taught using traditional clinical sessions. A bout (97.1%) was found to have a positive attitude regarding the learning through mobile.
Conclusion and Recommendation: mobile educational applications were a useful learning tool for enhancing practice and knowledge. The positive attitude reported toward using the mobile in learning highlights the need for adding more mobile-based applications in the curriculum to enhance learning of undergraduate nurses. In addition we need more incorporation of modern technologies including mobiles into all fields of education either theoretical or practical.

Sensorimotor Rhythm (SMR) Neurofeedback Training on Anxiety: A Case Study on Archers
Get PDFWhile According to some studies, the putative calming effect of EEG neurofeedback training could be useful as a therapeutic tool for anxiety. To investigate this possibility, we conducted a study to test the efficacy of eight neurofeedback training (NFB) sessions in improving anxiety symptoms and sports mental toughness in two archery athletes. The aim of the NFB training was to enhance the Sensorimotor Rhythm (SMR) wave (12 to 15 Hz), while simultaneously inhibiting theta wave (4-8 Hz) and high beta wave (22-36 Hz) at C4 over the right motor area. The reference electrode was placed on A2, and the ground electrode was placed on A1. Our study focused on two archers, Participant F and Participant V, with the goal of reducing anxiety symptoms and improving sports mental toughness. We employed a pre-post design, with the following dependent variables: (i) psychometric measures of anxiety, including the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Sport Anxiety Scale-2, and General Anxiety Disorder-7; and (ii) Sport Performance and Sports Mental Toughness. After completing the eight neurofeedback training sessions, both participants exhibited noticeable improvements in sports mental toughness, including enhanced confidence, constancy, and control. Additionally, symptoms related to sports anxiety, such as somatic manifestations, worry, and disruptions in confidence, as well as state-trait anxiety and generalized anxiety disorder symptoms, showed significant reductions. These findings support the effectiveness of neurofeedback training in reducing anxiety symptoms and improving sports mental toughness. However, it is essential to note that this study was a case study, and the results cannot be generalized. While the study offers valuable insights into the potential benefits of neurofeedback training for anxiety management and sports performance, further research with larger and more diverse samples is necessary to establish the broader applicability of these findings
Investigation Report on the Learning Status and Cultural Integration of Chinese Thai Language Major Undergraduates’ First Month Study Abroad in Thailand
No full textThis thesis examines the learning status and cultural integration of Chinese Thai language major undergraduates during their initial month of study abroad in Thailand, focusing on students’ development of intercultural communication competence (ICC). Situated within the framework of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the study addresses challenges encountered by Chinese Thai language major students while study abroad in Thailand and explores strategies to enhance ICC through innovative teaching or studying methods and intercultural exchange programs.
Using a mixed-methods approach encompassing quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the investigation provides valuable insights into students’ challenges, extracurricular engagement, adaptations with local Thai environment, and their ICC. Language barriers, cultural differences, and practical issues necessitate targeted support mechanisms such as language training and cultural orientation programs. Integration of extracurricular activities and interactions with local students emerges as pivotal for facilitating language acquisition and cultural integration. Continuous support, including mentorship programs and self-reflection opportunities, is vital throughout students’ study abroad experience. Additionally, integrating intercultural competence development into the curriculum is emphasized for enhancing communication skills and cultural understanding.
In general, this study adds to the existing literature on study abroad programs by emphasizing the significance of ICC in a globalized world. Practical implications are offered for educational institutions, policymakers, and program coordinators involved in study abroad initiatives, emphasizing language acquisition, cultural integration, and ICC. The study suggests exploration of diverse intercultural communication contexts and utilization of longitudinal designs and objective measures
Text Analysis of The Farewell from a Cultural Linguistic Perspective

The distance between countries, cultures and languages is shrinking, and countries in the world are interdependent and closely connected. However, at the same time, due to the existence of cultural differences such as history, geography and society, the interconnection between countries, cultures and languages is faced with great cultural obstacles. In this context, it is urgent to understand and communicate with each other about culture, and intercultural communication has become another urgent development demand in addition to cross-language communication.This paper examines the text of the film The Farewell by Chinese American director Lulu Wang. The Farewell opens in theaters in the United States on July 12, 2019, and in mainland China on January 10, 2020. The story of The Farewell is about a Chinese family in which a grandmother living in Changchun, China, has cancer, and the relatives in Japan and the United States return to reunite and give the grandmother final farewell. Billi, a granddaughter who grew up in the United States, wants to tell her grandmother the truth, but she is advised by her family not to do so. The cultural conflict of "to tell or not to tell" leads to a discussion of the cultural differences between China and the United States and the dichotomy between concealing and telling is portrayed through the conversations between the characters. This paper will explore the textual characteristics of The Farewell from the perspective of cultural linguistics, using linguistic comparison, visual images, and textual analysis, and then discuss the possibility and key factors of "dialogue" between Chinese and Western cultures, and appeal to the importance of intercultural communication for cultural exchange and cultural understanding
