    No full text
This case study explores the effectiveness of ReAttach therapy as a transdiagnostic intervention for a complex patient with PTSD and hyperalertness following a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). The subject, a 49-year-old vitality coach named Naomi, experienced severe fatigue, cognitive impairments, and persistent PTSD symptoms after her TIA, which were unresponsive to previous treatments, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Over three ReAttach therapy sessions, Naomi showed remarkable improvements in sensory processing, energy levels, cognitive functioning, and overall quality of life. Her PTSD symptoms decreased significantly, allowing her to resume her professional duties and daily activities with enhanced resilience. The results of this single case study suggest that ReAttach therapy may provide a crucial therapeutic link in treating complex patients with overlapping mental health and neurological conditions, offering a cost-effective and patient-friendly approach to restoring learning conditions in the brain and promoting personal growth. Further research is warranted to validate these findings and explore the broader applicability of ReAttach therapy in diverse clinical settings

Philosophical counseling is a guidance process based on philosophical concepts and methods that helps individuals solve life problems through reflection, questioning and wisdom. Before performing philosophical counseling or therapy, it is necessary to determine the situation with a scale. The aim of the study was to develop and test the validity and reliability of the Stoic attitudes and behaviors scale that philosophical counselors can use in their first encounters with their clients. For this purpose, in creating an item pool; First of all, a literature search was made, the current situation of counseling and therapy based on Stoic philosophy was examined in the world and in Turkey, and expert opinions were received. As a result of the examinations, the draft structure consisting of 55 items was applied to the students of İnönü University Faculty of Letters. Explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and internal consistency analyzes were carried out as statistical methods in the research. The creation of a large-scale scale that can measure Stoic Attitudes and Behaviors by considering all the steps of scale development in the research contributes to the originality of the study. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, a measurement tool consisting of 7 factors and 36 items was obtained. The validity of the resulting measurement structure was supported by confirmatory factor analysis. Cronbach\u27s alpha internal consistency coefficient values were calculated for the entire scale and the factor structures in the scale, and it was concluded that the scale had high reliability. It can be stated that the Stoic Attitudes and Behaviors Scale, developed as a result of the findings, is a reliable and valid measurement tool

Traumatic Ulcerative Granuloma with Stromal Eosinophilia (TUGSE) is a rare disorder that typically affects the tongue and is thought to be a reactive benign lesion of the oral mucosa. Histiocytes, eosinophils, and lymphocytes are the cells that dominate histology. As a result, this entity requires close attention in order to stress the importance of accurately diagnosing indurated ulcerated lesions and communicating appropriate and efficient treatment. This unique lesion\u27s clinical features, etiopathogenesis, and histology are highlighted in the current cas

Existentialism And Racial Masculinity in Norman Mailer’s An American Dream

Norman Mailer reflects on Ernest Hemingway\u27s impact on his own writing in Advertisements for Myself, a compilation of quotes and essays. Even so, he recognizes that he has a deep-seated respect for his literary forebear and that Hemingway accomplished many things that few of us could. Mailer also believes that the author “pretended to be ignorant of the notion that it is not enough to feel like a man; one must try to think like a man as well” (20). Although this assessment of Hemingway is open to criticism, the statement\u27s significance for a study of Mailer\u27s writings lies more in its intention than in its accuracy since, by expressing this concern, Mailer implies that he will not pretend to ignore this problem. Indeed, Mailer devotes a significant portion of his writing career to examining what it means to "think like a man." Even though Mailer\u27s portrayal of masculinity is contentious because it relies on a variety of violent forms, including political, misogynistic, and interpersonal violence, it does run the risk of legitimizing many of the repressive social structures that Mailer and his characters find so confining. Nevertheless, his body of work provides important insight into common problems of conflicted gendered identity in American culture. The purpose of this study is to shed light on the sometimes disregarded nuanced aspects of some of Mailer\u27s most notorious depictions of masculinity. To be more precise, I look at how Mailer\u27s portrayals of masculinity paradoxically uphold the oppressions he aims to subvert through the violent uprisings of his protagonists, as well as the instances in which Mailer questions these acts of violence and how they form gender identity

    No full text
This paper attempts to examine the complexities of diasporic life from the select poems of Vikram Seth’s third major collection of poetry All You Who Sleep Tonight (1990). His empathy for others and his own feelings are explored in a few chosen poems. These poems, which are autobiographical in style, cover a wide range of topics, including loneliness, longing, and his attempts to make a name for himself abroad. The titles depict his time there as well as his travels to China, India, and the United States. Even though the themes are mostly diasporic, there is a clear play with the traditional and classical styles of poetry. He is a lyrical poet who draws influence from many different places. Seth understands the loneliness that some people feel and wants them to know that they are not going through life alone. He values empathy, compassion, and love. He wants the readers to understand the importance of love and to have empathy. &nbsp

Role Of Spiritual Intelligence And Emotional Intelligence In Married Couples

    No full text
This study delves into the link between Spiritual Intelligence (SI) & Emotional Intelligence (EI), specifically looking at how these two dimensions impact communication styles and methods for resolving conflicts among married couples. If we want to see more happy and healthy marriages, we need to know what makes couples happy, and marital happiness is a good measure of that. In contrast to Emotional Intelligence, which entails seeing, understanding, and successfully managing emotions, SI includes qualities like self-awareness, transcendence, and connection. This research uses a mixed-methods approach to look at how variables, communications dynamics, & marital conflict resolution are related. More positive communication styles and methods for resolving conflicts are linked to higher both variables, which in turn leads to better marital satisfaction, according to the findings. In order to cultivate healthy marriage outcomes, it is essential to possess certain components of both variables, such as comprehension, empathy, and emotional control. It is important to note that culturally sensitive treatments are necessary since cultural and contextual variables impact the link between two variables, & marital satisfaction. These findings provide practical suggestions for improving marital relationships and add to our knowledge of the processes driving marital dynamics

Roman Senate\u27s Expansionist Policy towards Carthage and Numidia

    No full text
The Romans\u27 interest in ancient Maghreb was early, aiming to subjugate it, initially fighting wars against Carthage known as the three Punic Wars (264-146 BC). As a result, they annexed Carthage into their vital area, which gave them the advantage of indirect intervention in the affairs of neighboring kingdoms like Numidia, which had sided with the Romans in their war against Carthage. Rome adopted a special policy in this kingdom, which involved creating divisions among the local princes by directing internal events towards crisis, thereby justifying the partition of the kingdom\u27s rule among several princes. This policy became evident when Rome discovered signs of unification in the ancient Maghreb region and worked to eliminate them to avoid competition
