    The Performance Of Public Health Care System In Kerala – The Role Of Government Interventions

    This study explores the empirical relationship between State Health Policy (SHP) and the Performance of Government Hospitals (PGH) by conducting research in the State of Kerala. The research findings indicate a strong positive correlation between SHP and PGH, with a direct and significant effect of the SHP on the PGH. This research establishes that the State of Kerala\u27s proactive health policy interventions have a considerable impact on the performance of the public healthcare system and, in particular, government hospitals. These findings are not only of local significance but also hold relevance for healthcare policy development and implementation in similar contexts worldwide. The positive associations unveiled in this study underscore the pivotal role of state health policy as a potent predictor of public healthcare system effectiveness, notably in enhancing the performance of government hospitals. This empirical evidence emphasizes the essential role of state-level health policy in strengthening the public healthcare infrastructure and improving the overall healthcare outcomes, reinforcing the social necessity for proactive and well-structured health policies to advance the quality of healthcare services provided by government hospitals

    Assessment Of Bacterial And Fungal Contamination In Common Pharmaceuticals And Their Public Health Implications

    Pharmaceutical contamination by microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi, poses significant public health risks, as contaminated drugs can lead to severe infections, treatment failures, and compromised patient safety. This study investigates microbial contamination in a range of commonly used pharmaceutical products. For bacterial contamination, Troycaine, Synim, Methdilazine, and Vericose Vein were analyzed using nutrient agar. The results indicated the presence of Gram-positive bacteria in all samples: Troycaine was contaminated with Gram-positive cocci, while Synim and Methdilazine were found to contain Gram-positive rods. The study further extended to fungal contamination in pharmaceuticals, including Troycaine, Methdilazine, Vericose Vein, Ambroxl Kufril, Montair, Dextromethorphan, and Mefenamic Acid + Paracetamol. Troycaine tested positive for fungal contamination, with Rhizopus stolonifer and Aspergillus niger being identified as contaminants. These fungal species are known for their potential to cause serious infections, particularly in immunocompromised individuals. The presence of microbial contamination in pharmaceuticals not only compromises the therapeutic efficacy of the drugs but also presents a significant public health threat, increasing the risk of drug-resistant infections, allergic reactions, and other complications. These findings emphasize the critical need for stringent microbial quality control in pharmaceutical manufacturing, storage, and distribution to mitigate these risks and ensure patient safety

The study employs a clinical approach, utilizing case studies as the methodology, which is suitable for the study’s variables. This research was conducted on three families with cancer patients at the Misbah Baghdadi Hospital in Amsion, Tamanrasset, Algeria.     The Role of AI and Machine Learning in Strengthening Digital Wallet Security Against Fraud

    There are so many digital wallets, like PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay, we have started transacting money in a completely different way. That said, with the growing popularity of digital wallets, fraud is increasing, which is becoming a mammoth task to secure users’ sensitive financial data. Rule-based systems, which are traditionally used for fraud detection, have failed to fight complex fraud schemes. In this work, we investigate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to enhance the security of digital wallets by studying their capacity to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions. Various AI/ML models were tested including Random Forests and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and results show that these models greatly increase fraud detection accuracy and decrease false positives. It compares AI/ML models with traditional fraud prevention techniques and shows that AI/ML models adapt to changing fraud patterns much more swiftly. Although AI/ML models give promising results, the implementation is not effective due to computational costs, false positives, and issues with data privacy. The research reveals that deploying AI/ML-based fraud detection systems within the business can enhance the security of digital wallets by a significant amount

    Iron deficiency anaemia [IDA] among women in India is a problem of major public health significance. Women in India are particularly vulnerable to Iron Deficiency Anaemia for several reasons. Poor nutrition, including a lack of Iron rich foods in their diets, is major factor. Irregular or heavy menstruation can also cause significant iron loss. Additionally, the increased iron demands during pregnancy and childbirth further contribute to the risk of IDA. If anaemia is not corrected it leads to reduced work capacity and increased susceptibility to infections. The prevalence of IDA varies by age and geographic location in India

    Moderlizing AI Applications In Ticketing And Reservation Systems: Revolutionizing Passenger Transport Services

    During the past decade, AI in many commercial applications has played an increasingly important role. Nevertheless, desirable qualitative and application-specific software design characteristics have not been devoted much attention regarding AI\u27s ticket and reservation system applications. The objective is to integrate these design characteristics with passenger needs in the area of ticketing and reservation systems so that the resulting applications will better serve the major transportation sectors. The applications are treated separately, though it is recognized that increasingly, through consolidation, multi-modal enterprises will conduct their operations through the common integrated database systems or online operators. This applies to both full-service and automated systems. In particular, we address the unique problems specific to airlines, rail, cruise liners, and buses. Based on the perspective of meeting the unique needs of the respective transport sectors, we endow the AI-oriented systems architecture with transaction-based properties to enable the operational systems to operate and be applicable for both large and small transactions. Our approach also supports transactional ATM capabilities i.e., ticket point of sale, issuing the seat and travel pass, accommodating seat requests due to service interruptions, upgrades, and duty of carrier changes, and meeting customer requests for specific flights. Additionally, our approach has open system interface capabilities. Such a need originates from the desire of carriers to participate with the online multi-modal operators and to enable agents and carriers to work asynchronously as well as access all essential data needed to service a transaction communiqué with technical capabilities

    AI-Powered Predictive Systems for Managing Epidemic Spread in High-Density Populations

    Predicting epidemic spread in high-density populations is a complex problem. This paper introduces a novel AI-based approach to predictive pathogen spread modeling in large airplane populations. It takes into account the complex interplay of short-term passenger mobility dynamics and AI-driven duration- and direction-based risk level estimations. A case study of airline passenger moving patterns is used to implement and validate prediction models. The originality of the proposed model consists of a specially adapted aggregating hierarchical clustering algorithm for building prediction models faster, thus increasing its practicability and scalability. The model is fully deployable and complies with major privacy standards. Preliminary results show good performance in evaluation. Due to its adaptive Bayesian nature, the model is easily extendable for other types of complex mobile settings, increasing the potential for wider application in critical infrastructure transportation security.   AI-Powered Predictive Systems for Managing Epidemic Spread in High-Density Populations.     Efficiency of combined retrograde urethrography and anterograde cystourethrography procedures in the diagnosis of voiding difficulties

    Combined retrograde urethrography and micturition cystourethrography (RGU/MCU)) are fluoroscopy-guided radiological imaging procedures that involve the use of X-ray ionizing radiations to diagnose lower urinary tract pathologies. Patients presenting urological conditions may be required to undergo combined RGU/MCU procedures. Our research emphasized combining both RGU and MCU procedures in evaluating pathological conditions, anatomical changes, and landmarks of the lower urinary tract and the effectiveness of combined procedures. Referring to existing research articles and data collected onsite from MMDU Super Specialty Hospital we found strain micturition, stricture urethra, BEP, and urgency to have been mostly complained indications, other presented indications including nocturia, partial and complete urinary retention, trauma, incontinence, frequent urination, hematuria, and other lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). At the end of this study, it was found that abnormal reports were 16 patients with a percentage of 45.71% while normal patients were 19 with 54.29 % however some patients\u27 reports appeared normal while they claimed to have lower urinary symptoms, this is presented by smaller interval difference between normal and abnormal. Lower urinary tract anatomical changes highlighted included changes in urinary bladder shape, outline and capacity, dilatation of ureters, and change in urethra shape, outline, and caliber, however future study with multi-imaging and clinical correlations is recommended for exact evaluation

    Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs) at Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) are essential for cultivating self-employment and entrepreneurial competencies among rural communities in India. This study examines the views of four key stakeholders—Directors, Subject Matter Experts, Domain Skill Trainers, and Beneficiaries—on the effectiveness, impact, and challenges of these Maharashtra programs. The study used a quantitative data analysis technique, collecting responses from 180 individuals using structured questionnaires. The findings show that stakeholders have different perspectives: Directors prioritize program structure and funding issues, Subject Matter Experts focus on curriculum effectiveness, Domain Skill Trainers emphasize skill acquisition, and Beneficiaries consider practical applicability and employment opportunities. The study provides proposals for improving the effectiveness of EDPs in RSETIs, ensuring better alignment with the needs of rural entrepreneurs

    Unemployment In India: A Case Study Of Sonipat District, Haryana

    In India, unemployment remains a serious socio-economic challenge that has substantial influence on economic growth and social stability. The study follows a mixed-method research strategy amalgamating primary data through structured questionnaires with secondary data encompassing government documentation and academic studies. The study found that there are several factors responsible for unemployment in India, such as lack of skills matching, less industrial diversification, automation, and ineffective government initiatives. The study, as would be expected in any sociometric analysis, also looks at demographic break-downs, noting how unemployment is spread across ages, types of education, and socio-economic classes. The conclusions made are that Sonipat has experienced infrastructural and economic growth but is limited in job opportunities, especially for unskilled and semi-skilled workers. It is especially important to analyze which kinds of unqualified persons experience the psychological and financial stress of unemployment more acutely, and what effects that has on the stability of their household or on community development. The study also analyzes current employment policies and their response to the problem, highlighting disparities that prevent workforce participation. The study offers strategic policy recommendations based on the findings, such as skill development programs, entrepreneurship support, and government initiatives designed to create sustainable employment opportunities. Among the suggested measures include strengthening the link between education and industry needs, promoting small and medium enterprises, leveraging digital platforms for job creation. This study will further add to an emerging narrative on unemployment concerning India and facilitate insights into current practices of employment generation in Sonipat District that interest policy-makers, educators and industry practitioners alike
