    Menopausal Problems And Stress Of Women In Manipur And Their Lifestyle Management Through Traditional Belief

    Menopause is irreversible and universal, involving a woman\u27s reproductive system, after which she no longer menstruates. It is the turning point in the life of a woman, but the issues including menopause are never discussed and are usually ignored. Menopause typically occurs in a woman’s mid to late 40s, when her body’s ability to reproduce is no longer possible due to hormonal changes. They may encounter changes in their physical, emotional, personality, sexual, urinary, or digestive systems due to the hormonal fluctuations. Each woman who deals with menopause may find that her typical stress may need to be adjusted with management strategies because of the high level of stress which is occurring as a result of physical & psychological changes. With a wide range of contributing and facilitating factors, experience stress is dynamic. The present study was carried out to explore the lifestyle management through traditional belief to cope with menopausal problems and stress. By using principle of saturation and maximum variation sampling 12 numbers of women were selected for the qualitative phase from 384 women of age group 40-60 years.  The self-developed schedule was used to collect the background information and a self-developed open-ended questionnaire was used for qualitative interviews. Thematic analysis for qualitative studies revealed that adopting a healthy lifestyle was believed to control the effects of menopausal problems. Findings reveal that stress may worsen if not addressed early and create menopausal problems. Therefore, orientation and awareness of menopause is the need of an hour for every woman. &nbsp

The main objective of the skill development training is to enable the youth in the project area to find new employment opportunities. The youth would be also encouraged to start their own enterprises based on the skills developed or upgraded to contemporary context and requirement. The North East Rural Livelihood Project (NERLP) in Mizoram, India, plays a crucial role in skill development and training aimed at empowering rural communities, enhancing livelihood opportunities, and promoting sustainable development. Mizoram, a state in Northeast India, faces unique challenges due to its hilly terrain, limited infrastructure, and predominantly rural population.     Assessing the Efficacy of Specialized Yoga as a Cost-Effective Intervention for Enhancing Quality of Life in Spinal Cord Injury Patients: A Randomized Controlled Trial

    This randomized controlled trial evaluates the efficacy of specialized yoga as an intervention for cost-effectively improving quality of life and mental health in patients suffering from spinal cord injury. Randomly, 60 subjects with chronic spinal cord injury, aged between 18 to 65 years, were put into two groups: a specialized yoga-based intervention group and a standard rehabilitation care group. The intervention included a 6-week specialized yoga program with twice-weekly sessions, which consisted of physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation, performed in a manner that is modified to suit the physical limitations of the patients suffering from SCI.  Primary outcomes were assessed through the SF-36 Health Survey, which indicated that the quality of life measurement for the yoga group showed an overall improvement of 20% compared to 10% for the control group, p < 0.01. Secondary outcomes included a 30% decrease in depression and anxiety symptoms by the Beck Depression Inventory and Generalised Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale, versus smaller decreases in the control group, p < 0.01. Cost-effectiveness analysis demonstrated a lower cost per QALY for the yoga group. The findings suggest that specialized yoga is an effective, relatively low-cost intervention for significantly improving mental health and quality of life in SCI patients. The study provides a rationale for integrating specialized yoga into rehabilitation practices, with implications particularly in resource-constrained settings

    This study evaluates the antioxidant and anticancer activities of the methanolic extract of Cryptostegia grandiflora leaves (CGME) using both in vitro and in vivo models. The antioxidant potential was assessed through DPPH radical scavenging in vitro and through various enzymatic assays in an animal model. Instrumental analysis such as Column Chromatography, UV, HPTLC, GCMS, and 1H NMR were utilized for compound identification. The results showed that CGME exhibited significant antioxidant activity in the DPPH assay and increased the levels of antioxidant enzymes, including SOD, CAT, GRD, GPX, and GST, while reducing LPO levels in vivo. These findings suggest that CGME has potential as a natural antioxidant with anticancer properties. Further studies are warranted to explore its mechanisms of action and therapeutic potential

    The ability to rapidly change direction is crucial for success in badminton, as it allows players to respond effectively to their opponent’s shots and gain a competitive advantage. This study aims to build a structural equation model (SEM) to examine the factors influencing badminton player’s variable direction ability and explore the implications of these findings for sports teaching. The SEM was constructed based on a comprehensive review of relevant literature and expert knowledge in the field. Key variables identified include agility, footwork technique, reaction time, perceptual skills, coordination, and playing experience. Data were collected from a sample of badminton players through surveys, observational measures, and performance assessments. The collected data were then analyzed using statistical software, employing factor analysis and path analysis to estimate the parameters of the SEM. Model fit was evaluated using established goodness-of-fit indices, including chi-square, CFI, TLI, and RMSEA. The results of the SEM analysis provided insights into the factors influencing badminton players variable direction ability. The estimated path coefficients revealed significant relationships between variables, indicating that agility, footwork technique, reaction time, perceptual skills, coordination, and playing experience all contribute to a player’s ability to change direction effectively. Built on the SEM findings, sports teaching strategies can be developed to target the identified factors. Through incorporating the insights gained from the SEM analysis, sports instructors and coaches can design more effective and targeted training programs to enhance badminton player’s variable direction ability. This study contributes to the understanding of the complex factors involved in this skill and provides practical guidance for improving performance in badminton
