    No full text
This study was conducted to determine the moderating effect of regular exercise on the relationship between age and life satisfaction, employing data from the 8th Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA). This study utilized the statistical program SPSS 29 for data analysis. To explore the demographic characteristics of the 8th KLoSA data, frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were conducted. Differences in life satisfaction based on general characteristics were examined using t-tests and ANOVA. Correlation analysis was performed to investigate the relationship between life satisfaction, age, and total household income. Additionally, to explore the moderating effect of exercise on the impact of age on life satisfaction, the presence of moderation effects was verified using Process Macro Model 1. Analysis results revealed that being female (p=.011), having a spouse (p<.001), graduating from high school (p=.001) and university (p<.001), residing in a medium-sized city (p=.004) and rural area (p<.001), considering one\u27s health to be poor (p<.001), engaging in alcohol consumption (p=.004), having perceived cognitive impairment (p=.001), and with a higher household income (p=.019) significantly influenced life satisfaction. The explanatory power for life satisfaction was found to be 12.0%, with perceived poor health (β=-.274) emerging as the most influential factor. The moderating effect of physical activity on the impact of age on life satisfaction (B=-.260, p=.008) revealed that among those engaged in physical activity, life satisfaction tends to decrease with higher age. These findings could serve as fundamental data for the development of exercise programs tailored for individuals aged 65 and above in the future

Background/Objectives: This study compares muscle thickness with surface changes during bridge and plank exercises. Methods/Statistical analysis: Twenty healthy adults participated in this study. All subjects performed plank and bridge exercises under three conditions: stable, trunk unstable, and lower extremity unstable. During the exercise, the thickness of the abdominal muscles was measured using ultrasonography. The muscle thickness in each condition was compared using repeated measures analysis of variance. Findings: Transverse abdominis (TRA) thickness was higher in trunk unstable and lower extremity unstable than in stable, respectively (p<.05). TRA thickness was higher in trunk unstable and lower extremity unstable, respectively than in stable conditions (p<.05). In the case of internal oblique thickness, it was higher in trunk unstable compared to a stable condition (p<.05). Improvements/Applications: The results of this study may provide information about unstable support surfaces that can be used to activate specific muscles when using plank and bridge exercises

Supporting Mental Well-Being in the Workplace - A Study

    Get PDF
The well-being of employees in the workplace is an important issue that currently occupies the highest level of priority in organizational research. Experiences a person has at work, whether they be emotional or social, undoubtedly have an effect not only on the person in the working domain but also in domains in which they do not work. Workers spend about a third of their time at work and continue to think about their responsibilities even after they leave the office. The provision of welfare has the potential to bring about unfavourable outcomes for both workers and organisations. If employees aren\u27t happy and secure in their jobs, they may be less effective as a team, make poorer decisions, miss more work, and generally bring down the organization\u27s output. Teaching workers why it\u27s crucial to see them as whole people with complicated lives is the same as instructing them on the importance of respecting work-life harmony, which can help them better manage the responsibilities and goals of both their professional and personal lives. Both productivity and morale in the workplace will increase as a result of this. Regular stress has a deleterious effect on people\u27s emotional and physical well-being in the workplace. Employees may experience stress from both internal and external factors. Workers are people who are employed by a business and who use their skills, knowledge, and effort to boost the profitability of that business. Successful businesses are built on the shoulders of their employees, who are the firm\u27s foundation. Trying to make it as a professional in today\u27s world is a difficult task. Stakeholders and potential employers have a greater need for data and tools to aid in the education process due to the rise in administrative duties. As a result of this, maintaining a healthy balance between one\u27s personal life and one\u27s professional life as an employee of an IT company has become a stressful endeavour, and stress can have a negative impact on one\u27s job performance, which in turn can have a negative impact on one\u27s everyday life. The degree of contentment that an employee derives from their work directly influences how well they perform their duties

Blind Special Education Students\u27 Mathematics Psychology in the Pandemic: The Impact of Flipped Classroom Learning

    Get PDF
Blind students\u27 mathematics learning results during the Covid-19 epidemic will be examined in this research using a Flipped Classroom approach. This research makes use of a quasi-experimental approach that includes non-equivalent control groups. Blind kids in grades IV and V make up the study\u27s population of 16 participants. Saturated sampling was used to collect the samples. Students in the experimental class are taught using the Flipped Classroom paradigm, while those in the control class are taught using a direct learning approach as a comparison. A p-value greater than 0.05 indicates that the data are normal and homogenous. The average of two unpaired samples from data is compared using the independent sample t-test. There is no H0 for a t-statistic of less than 0.05; if it is less than 0.05, it is not accepted. First, the Sig.t count (2-tailed) or the P-value are compared to make the first decision. After the second judgment, H0 is no longer a valid hypothesis. Learning arithmetic in a traditional classroom or without any treatment utilizing the Flipped Classroom methodology was shown to be less beneficial for blind pupils during the covid-19 outbreak

    Get PDF
Isolation, anxiety and mood disorders, dementia, and even psychosis may all play a role in the deteriorating mental health of the elderly population. Sleep and behavioural difficulties, cognitive decline, and periods of bewilderment are all common among the elderly due to medical conditions or procedures. Depressive, anxious, and addictive illnesses are more prevalent in the elderly population. Many of our cognitive talents seem to reach their full potential by the time we hit our thirties, and then gradually deteriorate afterwards. Impairments in attention span, multitasking, memory, and the ability to generate new words are some of the most typical consequences of ageing

Raavan (Demon king of Lanka) had an aircraft known as Pushpak Vimana, this information was repeated in Ramayan (Epic of Hindu mythology). Vimana is a Sanskrit word which means “measuring out, traversing” and it is also defined as “mythological chariot of the Hindu gods”. Other Indian texts such as Rig Veda, Vymanik Shastra, Arthashastra, Brihad Vimana Shastra, and Samarangna Sutradhara contain references to flying vehicles and flights. According to modern history in 1903, Americans Orville and Wilbur Wright completed the world\u27s first successful controlled powered flight at Kill Devil Hills near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina but before them in 1895, Shivkar Talpade flew his aeroplane. He was an instructor at the Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai. Bhardwaj’s Yantra Sarvasva (All about machines) is a very rich source of information regarding vimanas
