Educational Problems Among Children Of The Nomadic Tribes In Karnataka

    No full text
Education is widely recognized as a critical instrument in the global social inclusion process, particularly within India\u27s context. However, educational development in India exhibits significant disparities, particularly among various tribal communities. Nomadic tribes, in particular, face notable challenges and are markedly behind in educational attainment. Presently, children belonging to nomadic tribes continue to experience educational exclusion, impeding their integration into mainstream society. This lack of educational access contributes to their socio-economic and political marginalization. Consequently, this study aims to address the educational deficiencies among nomadic tribal children and facilitate their integration into broader societal frameworks. This research aims to investigate the economic circumstances of nomadic tribes and the educational hurdles faced by their children. Data was sourced from both primary and secondary outlets. Primary data was collected through a sample of 60 respondents, comprising 15 individuals each from Iruliga, Hakki-Pikki, Malekudiya, and Medar tribes, selected via a simple random sampling approach. The study underlines that educational development among children from nomadic tribes remains significantly behind expectations

    No full text
A novel approach was used to develop and validate a rapid, specific, accurate and precise Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatographic (UHPLC) method for the simultaneous determination of Phentermine and Topiramate in pharmaceutical dosage forms. The chromatographic separation was achieved on Aquity UPLC BEH C8 100 x 4.6 mm, 2.7μm, column using a mobile phase ammonium acetate Buffer PH 4.5:Acetonitrile:Methanol in the ratio of 60:20:20. The flow rate was 0.5 mL min−1 and the detection wavelength was 263 nm. The limit of detection (LOD) for phentermine and Topiramate was 0.46 and 1.97μg mL−1, respectively. The limit of quantification (LOQ) for phentermine and Topiramate was 1.5 and 6.51μg mL−1, respectively. This method was validated with respect to linearity, accuracy, precision, specificity, and robustness. The method was also found to be stability-indicating

A Systematic Review On Arsenic Induced Toxicity: Conventional To Modern Approach.

    No full text
Arsenic is a potent cardiovascular toxicant associated with numerous biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases in exposed human populations. Arsenic is also a carcinogen, yet arsenic trioxide is used as a therapeutic agent in the treatment of acute promyeloid leukaemia (APL). The therapeutic use of arsenic is limited due to its severe cardiovascular side effects. Many of the toxic effects of arsenic are mediated by mitochondrial dysfunction and related to arsenic’s effect on oxidative stress and ischemia reperfusion injury. Therefore, we investigated the effectiveness of Ischemic preconditioning against arsenic induced cardiovascular dysfunction.  ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a complex pathophysiological process causing postischemic organ dysfunction and cell death, leading to increased morbidity and mortality.1 Ischemic preconditioning (IPC), on the other hand, is the phenomenon whereby an organ supposedly becomes more resistant to IRI following multiple reversible episodes of ischemia and reperfusion effectively reverse mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress in cardiovascular cells and tissues. In addition, we propose that IPC have the potential to improve the cardiovascular health of millions of people chronically exposed to elevated arsenic concentrations through contaminated water supplies or used to treat certain types of leukemAs. Importantly, we identify conceptual gaps in research and development of new mito-protective antioxidants and suggest avenues for future research to improve bioavailability of antioxidants and distribution to target tissues in order reduce arsenic-induced cardiovascular toxicity in a real-world context

Complexes of diacetylmonoximehydrazide-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (HDMHpHB) [IUPAC name: 4-[(E)-{(2E)-[(3E)-3-(hydroxyimino)butan-2-ylidene]hydrazinylidene}methyl]phenol] have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, spectral (IR, visible, and NMR), and magnetic moment measurements. These complexes are Fe(II), Mn(II), Pd(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Hg(II), and Cd(II). Infrared spectra reveal that the ligand exhibits bidentate behavior. For the complexes [Fe(DMHpHB)2], [Mn(DMHpHB)2], [Ni(DMHpHB)2], and [Cu(DMHpHB)2] are high spin octahedral geometry, a square-planar structure is recommended for [Pd(DMHpHB)2] complex and tetrahedral geometries for [Cd(DMHpHB)2], [Hg(DMHpHB)2], and [Zn(DMHpHB)2] complexes

A Comparative Study Of Bail Jurisdiction In India, UK And USA

    No full text
Bail legislation serves as an important component of criminal justice systems, balancing the interests of individual liberty with societal safety and the administration of justice. This comparative study explores the bail frameworks in India, the United Kingdom, and United States, elucidating key similarities, differences, and evolving trends. In India, bail provisions are enshrined in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, which affords individuals the right to seek pre-trial release, subject to certain conditions. The Indian legal system emphasizes the presumption of innocence and endeavors to minimize pretrial detention, recognizing bail as a rule rather than an exception. Contrastingly, the UK\u27s bail system is governed by the Bail Act 1976, emphasizing the principle of conditional release pending trial. UK courts assess various factors, including the nature and gravity of the offense, the defendant\u27s criminal history, and the likelihood of reoffending or absconding. In the USA, bail legislation varies significantly across states, reflecting diverse legal traditions and policy objectives. The Eighth Amendment of the US Constitution prohibits excessive bail, safeguarding against arbitrary deprivation of liberty. However, cash bail practices have drawn criticism for perpetuating socioeconomic disparities and exacerbating pretrial detention rates. While each jurisdiction grapples with distinct challenges and priorities, global trends in criminal justice reform underscore the importance of evidence based practices and procedural fairness in bail adjudication. By examining legislative frameworks, judicial practices, and reform initiatives, this comparative analysis offers valuable insights into the complexities of bail adjudication and the pursuit of equitable outcomes within diverse legal contexts

    Wittgenstein And The Scientific Spirit

    No full text
In the opinion of Wittgenstein philosophy is not a natural science. Philosophy is not concerned with discovering regularities in the natural world. The function of philosophy is clarification or elucidation. Metaphysical problems arise because of our failure to understand the logic of language and to use language properly. Philosophy discovers hidden linguistic connections and thereby it seeks to provide clarifications and to dissolve problems. Scientific understanding is, according to Wittgenstein, not the only type of understanding. Philosophy provides a type of understanding which is elucidatory in nature
