    Get PDF
Purpose:  This study aims to develop a discharge planning  model  and test its effectiveness  on  the skills and management of nursing care performed by nurses on patients with behavior    violence in  mental hospitals. Methods: The model is developed by R&D method through combining  field analysis  and  concept analysis.  The effectiveness of the model was tested using a  quasi-experimental design  with a non-equivalent control group design on 52 nurses (27 treatments and 27 control nurses).   The data were analyzed by non-parametric tests (Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney).    Results: The  discharge planning model  developed covers three domains (assessment, evaluation and  discharge patient record plan). Format discharge planning that has been developed significantly improves nursing care skills and management (p<0.05).  The development of the discharge planning model has also proven effective in improving nursing care management (p <0.05) although for nurse skill variables have not been proven effective when compared to the previous format.   Conclusion: Form discharge planning in violent behavior patients   have  been developed and  have an effect on  nurse skills and nursing care management

    Get PDF
The complex balancing act between rehabilitation and justice is explored in this study paper in relation to India\u27s minimum age for criminal culpability in situations of sexual offenses. To shed light on the efficacy of the existing strategy and possible directions for development, it examines the legal, social, and psychological aspects of this issue. The study begins by examining the historical progression and evolution of India’s legal minimum age of criminal responsibility, taking into accounts the circumstances and concerns that have influenced its establishment. It explores the current legal system, looking at pertinent statutes, clauses, and how they are put into practice with a focus on sexual offenses. The study assesses whether India\u27s legal minimum age for criminal responsibility helps victims of sexual offenses receive justice. In order to determine how well the current strategy meets the interests and rights of victims, it evaluates a number of factors, including conviction rates, sentencing trends, and victim satisfaction. The study also investigates the possibility of young offenders who committed sexual offenses being rehabilitated and reintegrated into society. For a better understanding of the opportunities and difficulties involved in rehabilitating criminals under the set minimum age barrier, it looks at psychological views, treatment plans, and recidivism rates. The research reveals gaps, difficulties, and probable inconsistencies in India\u27s existing strategy based on the analysis of these interrelated aspects. In order to improve the harmony between justice and rehabilitation in the criminal justice system, it suggests evidence-based recommendations and prospective directions for reform

Imagery as Alternative Therapy of Depression: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR)

    Get PDF
The main objective of this research is to thoroughly investigate how imagery therapy impacts the severity of depression. The systematic literature review (SLR) analyzed all relevant publications available up until January 2023 from two reputable databases: Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. The screening process followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. This review highlighted that imagery therapy significantly reduces the overall depression level of the participants.  By significantly reducing the level of depression based on objective tests analysed using meta-analysis, imagery therapy was evidenced to influence the level of depression. This SLR exercise gives specific focus that could benefit two areas of psychology, the clinical psychology and sports psychology

    Get PDF
The aim of the study is to prepare essential resources so that nursing students can conduct clinical practice guidance more effectively by identifying factors that affect critical knowledge and  skills, problem-solving abilities, and clinical performance. The study applied the SPSS 21.0 program for data analysis. The result of this study is as follows. A positive relevance (r=.694, p<.001) was shown between critical knowledge  and skills and problem-solving abilities, and there was a positive relevance(r=.471, p<.001) between critical  knowledge and skills and clinical performance. Problem-solving abilities and clinical performance showed a positive relevance (r=.511, p<.001). Factors affecting critical thinking skills were gender (β=.143, p =.004), satisfaction with clinical practice (β=.184, p =.016), rudeness experienced by advisors (β=.111, p =.041), rudeness (β=.166, p =.007), and problem solving skills (β=.535, p<.001), which showed 54.4% explanatory power. (F=22.138, p<.001). Factors affecting problem-solving abilities include satisfaction with nursing as a major (β=.239, p<.001), critical knowledge and  skills (β=.522, p< .001), and clinical performance (β=.198, p=.001), which had an explanatory power of 55.8% (F=34.645, p< .001). Factors affecting clinical performance include satisfaction with clinical practice (β=.183, p= .035), satisfaction with interpersonal relationships (β=.304, p<.001), and rudeness experienced by staff (β=. 147, p=.011), and problem-solving skills (β=.288, p< .001), which had an explanatory power of 39.2% (F=18.194, p<.001). Therefore, to improve the clinical practice of course the bachelors degree in nursing, continuous and regular cooperation between clinical field leaders and teachers in charge of practice should be made so that they do not experience rudeness

    Get PDF
Dental caries is a dynamic and multifactorial chronic disease, which has a prevalence of up to 80% in South American countries, so it is the focus of multiple investigations based on elucidating the genetic model of this pathology which would contribute to a personalized treatment and diagnosis of the same, this model proposes four pillars around the susceptibility to this pathology,  the first of them is based on the genes involved in the development of enamel finding AMEL, ENAM, AMBN, MMP TUFT1 and KLK4, passing through the genes associated with taste whose polymorphisms are TAS1R2 and TAS1R3, in this same line are the genes associated with signaling pathways RPS6KA2, PTK2B, TLR2 and BTF3 and finally the genes of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA),  although there are several polymorphisms associated with susceptibility, some need to present a specific isoform, a mutation or a cofactor to trigger an imbalance in the oral environment that leads to the genesis of caries
