Examining Indian studies from the past two decades, 15 studies were identified from databases like PubMed, PubMed Central, National Library of Medicine Catalogue, and ResearchGate published post-2005. Keywords like "Substance Abuse by Fathers in India,” “Substance Abuse by Mothers in India,” “Substance Abuse and Parenting in India,” “Substance Abuse by Single Parents in India,” and “Substance Abuse and Personality of Parents in India” were used. The search strategy involved leveraging Google Scholar to systematically explore these databases and journals using the keywords. Through this exploration, insights into the challenges faced by parents grappling with substance abuse and the ensuing impact on children\u27s well-being will be brought to light, contributing to the development of targeted interventions and support systems tailored to the Indian socio-cultural landscape

Sperm and Oocyte Banks: A Comparative Study

In recent decades, the advent of in vitro fertilization (IVF) has led to the establishment of banks for the freezing of human embryos and sperm as a medical intervention to treat infertility. The utilization of these banks has raised both legitimate and illegitimate concerns. This research aims to explore this issue, beginning with the concept of embryo banks and their types, the legal prohibitions associated with their use, and ultimately providing a legal ruling on the matter. The study concluded that there are two types of embryo banks:1. A commercial type prevalent in non-Muslim countries, which operates purely for profit and does not adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in the freezing and utilization of frozen embryos. Scholars unanimously agree on the prohibition of this type.2. A egitimate type that adheres to legal and ethical standards in the freezing and handling of embryos, with differing opinions on its ruling. This type must be strictly limited to the couple, avoiding potential legal issues such as the mixing of lineage. Scholars have agreed that this is the only permissible scenario

In this paper, we aim to shed light on the contribution of one of the notable figures from the village of Al-Jadida in armament and the Algerian Liberation Revolution. The village was known for the full engagement of some families in revolutionary activities, including the family of Taleb Ali Lamkadem, who, to the best of our knowledge, has not been extensively studied, especially in academic research. Ali Lamkadem played a significant role in raising awareness and promoting education in his region, encouraging his sons—Ahmed, Ammar, and Mabrouk—to join the national movement after World War II. Mabrouk, in particular, collaborated with Commander Mohamed Al-Akhdar (Hama Lakhdar) to form a group that coordinated with the "Secret Organization" to implement armed revolutionary plans. Through my communication with one of Sheikh Ali Lamkadem’s grandsons, Mohamed bin Ali bin Abdelaziz bin Ali Lamkadem, and by obtaining oral narratives he documented based on accounts from his relatives and those who lived through that period, I have attempted to present an interpretation of these recorded accounts. This study offers an opportunity for future generations and researchers interested in local history to gain insights into the revolutionary history of the men of Al-Jadida village and their struggle against French colonialism

Poetic Language in Modern Arabic Poetry: A Study of Sudanese Poetry with Mohammed Al-Faytouri as a Model

This research delves into the utilization of poetic language within the realm of modern Arabic poetic discourse, with a specific focus on the Sudanese poet Mohammed Al-Faytouri (1936/2015). For Al-Faytouri, language transcends mere communication to become a potent instrument for societal critique, political dissent, and a call to arms against injustices such as racism, slavery, and cultural disenfranchisement. The objective of this study is to illuminate the mechanisms through which poetic language evolves from straightforward expression to an elevated artistic form. It explores how the poet articulates a compelling plea for freedom that not only stimulates deep reflection and reconsideration but also resonates emotionally with the audience. This revolutionary language is enriched by profound identity wounds that echo the severe crises facing African and Arab societies—their relentless fight against external appropriation and internal autocracy. The poet portrays these external forces as viewing Africa as a delectable cocoa cake, leaving only scraps for its rightful inhabitants. Conversely, the Arab ruler is depicted as a paternal figure who withholds basic living conditions from his people. Thus, the paper reflects not merely a critique but a visceral portrayal of the anguish embedded in Al-Faytouri\u27s poetry. It discusses the poet\u27s acknowledgment that this linguistic expression is not an initially complete phenomenon but rather a continuously evolving and maturing language

Self-esteem is a multidimensional concept that exists to varying degrees among individuals. It is an important element within the broader concept of self and reflects the extent to which an individual feels valued and competent. When individuals have positive attitudes toward themselves, their self-esteem is high, whereas negative self-perceptions lead to low self-esteem. In other words, self-esteem is the overall evaluation of an individual\u27s state as perceived by themselves. The concept of "self-esteem" holds significant importance in the educational process, as fostering positive self-perceptions among students helps unlock their potential and readiness across various fields. Students achieve better educational and social success when they have a realistic self-concept, a sense of self-worth, and confidence in their abilities. The middle school stage is a critical phase in education, representing early adolescence. It is characterized by physiological, physical, and mental changes that transition the child into the world of adults, from dependency to independence in all areas, and from primary to secondary and then university education. Among the means that help enhance self-esteem is "engaging in physical and sports activities within the school environment." Numerous studies have indicated that high self-esteem is associated with physical health and happiness in life. This study aims to shed light on the self-esteem of students participating in school sports activities (both those who practice and those who do not practice school sports) at Kouhil Lakhdar Middle School in the state of Constantine
