The Convergence of AI, Machine Learning, and Neural Networks in Precision Agriculture: Generative AI as a Catalyst for Future Food Systems

    Get PDF
Artificial intelligence (AI) has proven to be an efficient tool in monitoring crop growth and agricultural practices, but only focused on specific crop growth such as rice, wheat or maize. Furthermore, in these proceedings, AI mainly refers to traditional support vector machines, algorithms-based image analysis of data obtained through satellites mounted on drones. The proposed models use images from camera mounted drone video data and AI-based neural networks for a classification of beach crops in order to improve multiple crop growth monitoring.Machine learning techniques have been used for classification of crop types in remotely sensed images for a number of years. One of the most popular successful methods for remote sensing (RS) classification is maximum likelihood classification. This method is used as the benchmark for comparison with a proposed model in a paper by, in which the study illustrates a method to measure the amount of overlap between two classes, boat crop and other crop for two different farms using six different band indexes. This paper uses the data in a novel. The image sampling method is used to convert a small clip of color digital image or video clip of the phase sampling to extract additional classes around the boat or other crop. This provides an increase in overall accuracy of at best 30% when compared to the benchmark of 58.84%. However, the implementation method is a complex process involving a shape file for study area definition, construction of sample 3 × 3 window for each pixel in the image to measure the overlap between classes which may not be readily accessible to general end users

The Reimaging of Hindu Mythology: A study of Naga Myth in ‘The Secret of the Nagas’

    Get PDF
This paper explores Amish Tripathi’s novel The Secret of the Nagas (2011), which reinterprets the Hindu myth of the Nagas. As the second book in Tripathi\u27s Shiva Trilogy, it blends elements of modern fantasy with insights from the ancient text Shivapurana, using mythology to address contemporary issues. In this installment, the protagonist, Shiva, embarks on a crucial journey to uncover the reality of the Nagas.  In Hindu mythology, Nagas are traditionally depicted as serpents. However, in Tripathi’s narrative, they represent individuals with physical deformities who are deemed inauspicious by the inhabitants of the Sapt-Sindhu region. As a result, they face social exclusion and are compelled to live along the banks of the Narmada River, with Panchavati serving as the capital of their territory, Nagaland. Through the Shiva Trilogy, Tripathi examines the deep-rooted beliefs of the Hindu community, highlighting their intricate connections with the societal laws and norms of that era

In India, there aren\u27t any specific laws that directly address cyberbullying and cyberstalking, leaving victims without proper protection

AI-Driven Parametric Insurance Models: The Future of Automated Payouts for Natural Disaster and Climate Risk Management

    Get PDF
The increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters, coupled with the growing challenges posed by climate change, necessitate more efficient and responsive systems for managing risk and providing financial relief. Traditional insurance models often struggle with timely payouts and high administrative costs, especially in the aftermath of large-scale events. This paper explores the potential of AI-driven parametric insurance models as a transformative solution to these challenges. By leveraging advanced algorithms, real-time data analytics, and automated processes, parametric insurance enables rapid, data-driven payout mechanisms based on predefined triggers, such as temperature thresholds, rainfall levels, or earthquake magnitude. The integration of artificial intelligence enhances risk assessment, pricing accuracy, and claims verification, offering a scalable and transparent alternative to traditional indemnity-based insurance. This model not only reduces operational costs but also improves accessibility and fairness in climate risk management. We examine the technological underpinnings, regulatory considerations, and potential societal impacts of AI-powered parametric insurance, proposing it as a critical tool in mitigating the financial impacts of natural disasters in the face of a changing global climate

Optimizing Financial Forecasting Using Cloud Based Machine Learning Models

    Get PDF
B2B companies compete fiercely to win sales opportunities, often of high value. Forecasting successfully whether a sales opportunity will be won or lost is vital for maximizing profitability. This task is further complicated by the fact that forecasting the outcome of a sales opportunity forms the early part of a cumbersome sales process. A typical sales process may take weeks to months with due diligence requiring huge human and operational resources. Thus, careful evaluations of sales opportunities during the early steps of this process become imperative. Quantifying the probability of winning prospective sales opportunities can clarify early evaluations and facilitate appropriate allocation of additional assessments to be performed later in the sales process. However, correctly forecasting the outcome of a sales opportunity is currently mostly subjective. Many sales software allow sales personnel to assign a subjective probability of winning for an opportunity which represents their confidence of winning that opportunity. Predictive modelling attempts at determining the objective probability of winning sales opportunities are scarce. As a result, the prediction of the sales outcome of an opportunity thus relies on subjective human prediction. Furthermore, understanding the past sales data on the performance of predictions can help improve future predictions but current understanding is limited. For a similar industry with similar sales processes, overall simple metrics such as win-rate or revenue difference can showcase historical performance but this approach is too crude to provide valuable insights of data flows such as winning their opportunities or regions on which prediction has improved over time. ML and AI-based time-series forecasting has gained tremendous attention and is widely adopted in business areas such as sales, stock market, billing, pump failure maintenance, biotechnology, and global weather predicting. Optimizing financial forecasting using cloud-based machine learning models is an end-to-end built ML pipeline consisting of ingestion, prep, train, and evaluation for time series classification application. It automates data extraction and processing tasks such as: 1. uploading and formatting the training data, 2. feature engineering and selection, 3. model training and optimization, 4. saving and registering the trained model along with performance metrics and model parameters, 5. ML monitoring

Fear & Anxiety in Armed Forces

    Get PDF
Fear is a regular part of life for soldiers, especially in dangerous situations or under much pressure. It is a natural survival instinct, but it can also mess with your mind if it sticks around too long. While a little fear keeps you alert and ready to react, if someone is exposed to it for too long, it can lead to anxiety, bad choices, and even PTSD. That is why soldiers are trained to manage their fear and turn it into something they can control and use to stay sharp out on the field. Things like brotherhood, leadership, and guts play a significant role in helping them stay steady. Knowing how fear works in soldiers is super important because it helps us develop better coping strategies, mental health support, and training that keeps everyone safe and able to perform at their best, now and in the future

Comparison of Surface Roughness of Nanohybrid Composite Before and After Brushing with Tooth Whitening Dentifrice

    Get PDF
Aim: This study compared the surface roughness of nanohybrid composite before and after brushing with a tooth whitening toothpaste. Background: A person\u27s smile is a very important part of their face. It greatly affects how they feel about themselves and how they interact with others. Nowadays, people care a lot about how things look. This makes patients want more dental treatments. Composite resin restorations are a big part of daily dental work. Their use has grown because more patients want better-looking teeth. A rough surface on these direct composite resins can cause problems. It makes plaque stick more, leading to gum swelling (gingival inflammation), slight color changes on the surface, and new tooth decay (secondary caries). This study aims to compare surface roughness of nanohybrid composite before and after brushing with tooth whitening dentifrice. Materials and Methods: Eight disc-shaped samples were made from each nanohybrid composite. The surface roughness of these discs was measured before brushing. A Stylus profilometer (Mitutoyo SJ 310) was used for this. It had a 2μm tip at a 60° angle. The device moved on the surface of the nanohybrid composite disc material to get the values. After brushing simulation, the samples were checked again for surface roughness using the Stylus profilometer. Results: It was found that brushing did change the surface roughness. Te econom plus was less effective. This was because it had high surface roughness after the brushing test. Conclusion: Brushing with a teeth whitening toothpaste increased the surface roughness of Nanohybrid Composite. Nanohybrid Composite samples had more surface roughness after the brushing test. So, it should not be used with tooth whitening toothpaste

Conceptual Review Of Raktapitta In Ayurvedic Classics With Modern Correlation To Hemorrhagic Disorders

    Get PDF
Background: Raktapitta is one of the most significant Raktapradoshaja Vikaras described in Ayurvedic literature, characterized by vitiation of Pitta and Rakta Dhatu. It is classified into two primary types: Urdhwaga (upward flow) and Adhoga (downward flow), depending on the route of expulsion of vitiated blood. The disease embodies the pathological interaction of Rakta and Pitta, resulting in hemorrhagic manifestations such as epistaxis, hematemesis, and rectal bleeding. Acharya Charaka, Sushruta, and Vagbhata have extensively discussed its Nidana, Samprapti, and Chikitsa. Aim and Objectives: To review the concept of Raktapitta in Ayurvedic classics. To explore its pathological basis and classifications. To correlate Raktapitta with hemorrhagic disorders in modern medicine. Materials and Methods: A critical review of Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya, and other Nighantus was conducted to extract references on Raktapitta. Modern texts of pathology and hematology were reviewed to find relevant correlations with hemorrhagic disorders. A comparative and interpretative analysis was done to bridge the classical and modern perspectives. Results: The classical description of Raktapitta mirrors the modern understanding of systemic bleeding disorders such as gastrointestinal hemorrhage, epistaxis, hemoptysis, and intracranial bleeding. The role of aggravated Pitta in increasing Rakta Dravata (fluidity) is analogous to mechanisms seen in platelet disorders, coagulopathies, or capillary fragility. Management in Ayurveda includes Shodhana and Shamana therapies using herbs with Rakta-stambhaka, Pitta-shamaka, and Raktaprasadana actions. Discussion: Raktapitta can be seen as a group of disorders rather than a single entity, encompassing various modern hemorrhagic conditions. The Ayurvedic Samprapti provides a unique approach focusing on systemic balance, dietary regulation, and strengthening of vascular integrity. Modern conditions like idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), hemophilia, or vitamin K deficiency-related bleeding show partial symptom overlap. However, Raktapitta’s holistic treatment approach includes Shodhana, Shamana, and Rasayana therapies, which could have potential integrative value. Conclusion: Raktapitta serves as a comprehensive Ayurvedic construct to understand and manage hemorrhagic disorders. Its detailed Samprapti, diagnostic parameters, and therapeutic measures reflect a holistic clinical understanding that can be integrated with modern hematological insights for better patient outcomes

    Get PDF
Background: Social Connectedness is a significant protective factor for everyone\u27s psychological health. The social connectedness scale (SCS-R; Lee et al., 2001) assesses social connectedness and dysfunctional interpersonal behaviours of individuals. The Hindi adaptation and psychometric properties of the SCS-R scale still do not exist on the basis of the literature review. Therefore, the study aimed to validate the SCS-R in the Hindi language in Indian context among persons with disability. Method: The original items of the SCS-R were translated into Hindi using translation and back-translation methods. The language adaptation process was modified by administering the Hindi version of the SCS-R, along with the Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale, Ryff’s Psychological Well-being scale, and Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, to 108 students with mobility disabilities using a purposive sampling method. Participants aged 18-30 years were included, and psychometric properties were examined. Results: Cronbach\u27s alpha coefficient for the Hindi version of the SCS-R was found to be α = 0.80, and split-half reliability was reported as 0.60. The concurrent validity of the SCS-R was also adequate, as the correlation coefficients of the Hindi version of SCS, MPSSS, PWB scale, and RSES range between 0.25 to 0.59. SCS-R. Conclusion: This scale can be used in social rehabilitation practice to identify and prevent the specific needs and challenges of students with disabilities. The Hindi version of the SCS-R is a reliable and valid psychometric measure for evaluating the social connectedness of students with mobility and disabilities
