    No full text
Ghrita (ghee), especially Goghrita made from cow\u27s milk, is regarded by Ayurveda as a multipurpose dietary and medicinal ingredient with restorative properties. Goghrita is well known for its capacity to maintain equilibrium between the Pitta and Vata doshas as well as for being lipophilic, which enables it to cross the blood-brain barrier for more focused distribution and bioavailability. The Rasayana characteristic of Goghrita implies that regular use may help lower the likelihood of mental disease recurrence. Ghrita improves the medicinal qualities of pharmaceuticals when it is processed, which could make formulations using Goghrita more beneficial and effective for treating a range of illnesses. This Goghrita has some peculiar features, which is important for performing its action on brain. This study is an attempt to study Goghrita and its functions on brain function

Chronic Rhinosinusitis is increasing in India & other countries. Worldwide prevalence for CRS ranging from 1.0 % to 12.1%. Sinusitis is an inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. The full medical term for sinusitis is "rhinosinusitis" ("rhino-" meaning "nose"), because it affects the mucous membranes lining both the nose and the sinuses. Sinusitis can be acute or chronic: The acute form may appear several times a year, but it always goes away within several weeks at the latest. In chronic sinusitis, the mucous membranes lining the paranasal sinuses are inflamed for a longer period of time. Sinusitis is commonly considered to be chronic if the symptoms continue for more than three months 1.  Homeopathy is one of the most effective way of treatment for Sinusitis since it use satwo-Step procedure to treat Sinusitis. Homoeopathic medications are used to treat the acute symptoms of sinusitis in the first step. In the second phase it is used to treat chronic sinusitis and acute exacerbations ofchronicsinusitis.

A Study On The Prevalence Of Anemia In Preschool Children Aged 6 To 60 Months

    No full text
Background: Anemia is a significant global health issue, particularly among preschool children aged 6 to 60 months. Affecting nearly 25% of the world’s population, anemia has severe implications for cognitive development, physical growth, and immunity in children. Recent national surveys indicate a decline in anemia prevalence, attributed to improvements in public health, nutrition, and socioeconomic conditions. However, in developing countries, the condition remains multifactorial, with nutritional deficiencies, parasitic infections, and maternal health during pregnancy being primary contributors. Iron deficiency anemia remains the most common form, often treated with oral iron therapy. Method: This prospective observational study was conducted at Deep Homoeopathic Clinic and Research Center, Uttar Pradesh, involving 372 children aged 6 to 60 months diagnosed with anemia. Children with a hemoglobin level below 11.0 g/dL were included, and blood samples were analyzed for hemoglobin and serum ferritin levels. Result: The results showed that 13.9% of children had anemia, with 30.6% presenting with low ferritin levels, indicative of iron deficiency. Socioeconomic factors and nutrition were found to be major determinants of anemia prevalence, with children from lower socioeconomic classes being more affected. Despite the relatively low anemia prevalence in this study compared to other studies, iron deficiency was still significant. Conclusion: Anemia remains a public health issue, with iron deficiency prevalent in this study. Nutritional status and socioeconomic factors were key contributors. Public health interventions like deworming and supplementation may have improved outcomes, but further studies with larger populations are needed to generalize these finding

Evaluating Carthamus Oxyacantha For 5α-Reductase Inhibition: Therapeutic Perspectives In BPH

    No full text
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common condition in older men, marked by the enlargement of the prostate gland due to increased growth of stromal and epithelial cells. Among elderly men, BPH is the fourth most frequently diagnosed condition and the primary cause of lower urinary tract symptoms. Histological data indicate that BPH affects over half of men by age 60 and nearly 90% by age 85. This condition is strongly linked to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), an androgen derived from testosterone through the action of the enzyme 5α-reductase, which drives prostate growth. Although the exact mechanisms behind BPH are not fully clarified, DHT and other androgens are considered key contributors, making the inhibition of DHT production a valuable approach for reducing prostate growth. In this study, we conducted in vitro tests to assess the 5α-reductase inhibitory potential of Carthamus oxyacantha extracts. Prostate homogenates were used to prepare enzyme solutions, and enzyme concentration was measured with the Bradford reagent. The inhibitory activity was evaluated using a standard testosterone curve, with peak areas monitored by HPLC at 254 nm, using a methanol(70:30) mobile phase at a flow rate of 1 ml/min. Optimal enzyme concentration was determined by adjusting enzyme levels while maintaining constant substrate concentrations. The findings showed that the n-hexane fraction of the methanolic extract of Carthamus oxyacantha displayed significant 5α-reductase inhibitory activity, with an IC50 value of 0.301 mg. Other fractions and extracts, however, did not exhibit substantial inhibitory effects. These results suggest that Carthamus oxyacantha, particularly its n-hexane fraction, may offer therapeutic potential for BPH treatment through effective inhibition of 5α-reductase

Atopic dermatitis is a common, chronic, intensely pruritic, relapsing inflammatory skin disease that affects both children and adults. Atopic dermatitis inherits an increased tendency for irritable skin and of getting sensitized to various antigens present in the atmosphere. It may also be associated with other components of atopy like asthma, urticaria, hay fever or allergic dermatitis & produces a series of allergic disorders, mentioned as the "atopic march". There are numerous risk factors correlated with AD development in which two have always been related, and they are (1) family history of atopy and (2) loss of function mutations in the FLG gene. Here is a case of 8 yrs old boy suffering  from Atopic dermatitis of elbows and knees since 2 yrs and a family history of asthma, allergic rhinitis were treated with constitutional homoeopathic medicine. A constitutional treatment thus eliminates the symptoms locally and internally as well as long-lasting relief from complaints

Any location\u27s rainfall directly and indirectly influences the local Environment, people\u27s livelihood, food, and drinking water. Analysis of Rainfall helps to provide input for planning for renewable energy projects, agricultural practices, etc. It is also used to predict natural disasters like drought and flood, which creates Uncertainty in the water supply and its management. The present study explores the relationship between the long-term rainfall pattern (2010-2022) and the water level fluctuation in Kanpur Nagar. The district experienced an average annual rainfall in Kanpur Nagar is 821.09mm. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change predicted that 1861 the global mean surface temperature has increased by 0.6- 0.2℃ since 1861 and estimated an increase of 2 to 4℃ over the next 100 years. The rise in Temperature also affects the hydrological cycle by directly increasing evaporation and evapotranspiration. As a result, these changes affect the amount of precipitation, and intensity indirectly impacting the influx and storage of surface and underground water. The fluctuations in the water table also show a declining level compared to previous decades. The variations in rainfall and water level are related to the EL-Nino and La Nino effects. The change in climate variables, such as air temperature, precipitation, and evaporation, directly impacts surface water resources. Impact surface water resources. The intense cultivation of water-intensive crops is the major cause of fluctuation in water level. Create artificial water recharge and Replace water-intensive cropping patterns by cultivating less water-consuming crops with efficient water management technology, which may help to overcome future distress conditions. The greater changeability in rainfall could mean more continuous periods of high and low groundwater-level saline intrusion in coastal aquifers due to rising sea levels. levels. Groundwater resources in a straight line related to climate change through the direct interaction with surface water resources. Therefore, measuring the impact of climate change on groundwater resources provides not only authentic forecasting of change in the utmost climate variable but also accurate evaluation or prediction on groundwater recharge. &nbsp
