Background: Orthognathic surgery is a commonly performed oral and maxillofacial surgical procedure. The present study was conducted to assess prevalence of complications in patients treated with orthognathic surgery. Material and methods: A retrospective study was designed to assess complications in patients treated with orthognathic surgery. Patients were included of both gender and who were between 18 and 40 years of age, subjected to a conventional orthosurgical treatment with the orthodontic sequence and preoperative dental preparation, orthognathic surgery under general anesthesia, and orthodontic completion. The postoperative variables were noted. The analysis were made with descriptive statistics using the SPSS 23 (IBM, New York, USA) software considering statistical significance when P < 0.05. Results: In the present study 200 patients were included in the study. In general terms, 20% (40 subjects) had some type of complications. 10 subjects (25%) presented relapse, 5 patients (12.5%) presented postoperative infection, postoperative sinusitis respectively. 35% subjects had neurosensory deficits. 5% subjects had gingival tissue problem, 10% had wound/ suture problem. Conclusion: In the present study concluded that in maximum patients neurosensory deficits occur followed by relapse.   &nbsp

Examining The Relationship Between Job Satisfaction And Employee Retention In The Neemrana Industrial Region (Alwar)

    No full text
Employee retention is increasingly linked to job satisfaction, positioning it as a pivotal aspect of modern human resource management research. This study investigates this relationship through a synthesis of existing literature and empirical analysis. Job satisfaction includes several dimensions such as recognition, job autonomy, job fit, role clarity, and communication. Recognition and rewards significantly influence employee loyalty. Deci and Ryan (2000) noted that intrinsic rewards, like personal growth, play a crucial role in retaining employees [1]. Herzberg\u27s two-factor theory also identifies recognition as a primary motivator [2]

Achieving organisational excellence by reducing employee dissatisfaction and turnover

    No full text
This research investigates the impact of reducing employee turnover and dissatisfaction on achieving organizational excellence. The study utilized a quantitative methodology involving a structured questionnaire administered to a total of 243 HR managers, to collect comprehensive data on employee experiences and organizational performance. The primary objectives were to assess how reductions in employee turnover and dissatisfaction contribute to organizational performance, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and overall organizational culture. The findings reveal that decreased employee turnover significantly enhances organizational performance, stability, and competitiveness, while lower levels of employee dissatisfaction lead to improved employee engagement, teamwork, and client relations. Statistical analysis, including one-sample tests, confirmed that the observed effects were both substantial and statistically significant, indicating that addressing these factors can lead to meaningful improvements in organizational outcomes. The results underscore the importance of strategic initiatives focused on minimizing turnover and dissatisfaction to foster a productive and positive work environment, ultimately contributing to organizational excellence. This study provides valuable insights for human resource practitioners and organizational leaders, highlighting effective strategies for managing employee-related challenges

Sanitation, Social Change, And Development: A Comprehensive Sociological Review

    No full text
Sanitation is a fundamental aspect of human life that significantly influences social change and development. This research article explores the interconnectedness between sanitation, social dynamics, and development, emphasizing the critical importance of addressing sanitation challenges for sustainable progress. Through a synthesis of existing literature and empirical evidence, the article highlights how access to safe sanitation reduces the spread of waterborne diseases, lowers child mortality rates, and boosts labor force productivity, thereby driving social change. The empowerment of communities to adopt hygienic practices can lead to transformative social changes, promoting gender equality and empowering marginalized groups. The absence of adequate sanitation often results in gender-based violence, limited educational opportunities, and reduced economic participation, highlighting the need for improvement in this sector. The economic benefits of improved sanitation are substantial, including reduced healthcare costs, increased labor productivity, and stimulated local economies through job creation. Despite its importance, numerous challenges persist, such as inadequate infrastructure, lack of access in rural areas, and insufficient investment. This article presents case studies from the Tumakuru City Corporation, illustrating successful sanitation interventions and their impact on social change and development. The research design involves a survey of 50 sanitation workers from the Tumakuru City Corporation, utilizing simple random sampling and data collection through questionnaires. The analysis reveals key challenges faced by these workers, such as insufficient protective gear and inadequate healthcare benefits. The study also examines government initiatives aimed at improving their living conditions and suggests several recommendations to enhance their working conditions and overall well-being. This article underscores the necessity for comprehensive sanitation policies that integrate public health, social change, and development objectives. By addressing sanitation challenges holistically, societies can move toward a healthier, more equitable, and sustainable future

Acute Suppurative Osteomyelitis Of Maxilla Impersonating Mucormycosis: A Rare Case Report

    No full text
Osteomyelitis remains uncommon in contemporary medicine, largely due to the advent of antibiotics and increased emphasis on dental hygiene. Typically, of infectious origin, osteomyelitis is an inflammatory bone disease. The mandible is more susceptible than the maxilla due to its robust blood supply and structure. This case study involves a 47-year-old male who presented to the oral and maxillofacial surgery department with purulent discharge following extraction of the upper left molars. A CBCT scan revealed a radiolucent lesion in the left maxilla, initially suspected to be mucormycosis due to the patient\u27s elevated HbA1C levels and history of COVID-19 infection. However, biopsy confirmed osteomyelitis of the left maxilla. The patient underwent surgical excision and achieved favorable outcomes with appropriate antibiotic therapy and effective glycemic control

Economical High-Rise Building And How It Works: Engineering Perspectives On The Shanghai Tower: A Case Study

    No full text
A staggering 292 million additional people will call China home by the year 2050, according to the UN\u27s urban population projections. This prediction is sure to have an effect on Shanghai, the country\u27s most populous city. The very dense urban topology and limited available land of Shanghai, a megacity with an inhabitant of over 24 million people, make very-rise buildings the probable first option for minimising the effect on land utilisation. Although buildings have many beneficial uses, they also use a lot of energy and contribute to pollution. For the benefit of generations to come, sustainable construction methods priorities low maintenance costs, high quality, and maximum energy efficiency. This article aims to gain an improved awareness of the Evaluation Standard for Green Building in China and its respective assessment system, Green Building Evaluation Label (GBEL), also known as "Three-Star," by identifying guidelines and orientations to sustainable construction in Shanghai and by comparing GBEL to the American LEED rating system as well, which is widely used and recognised in China. The second-tallest building in the world, the newly built Shanghai Tower, will also be used as a case study. The largest green high-rise now in operation is not the biggest, but it is the tallest. The highest possible GBEL score, and LEED Gold accreditation were both bestowed on the Shanghai Tower. Sustainable design elements of Shanghai Tower include a tri-generation system, ice storage climate control, a double-skin façade, and many more. These solutions have the potential to enhance the building\u27s performance throughout its useful lifetime
