Value of Financial Derivative Contracts Disclosed by NIFTY50 Companies and Its Relation with Ownership and Leverage
The companies enter into derivative contracts to hedge their financial risk such as risk arising due to changes in the foreign exchange rates, interest rates, prices of commodities. The contracts may be exchange traded options and futures; or over the counter contracts forwards and swaps. When the companies enter into derivative contract, it results into an asset. According to the guidance note issued by ICAI, the value of the derivative contract is shown at fair value in the balance sheet. When the fair value is positive, the derivatives are carried as assets and when such value is negative, the derivatives are carried as liabilities. This guidance note is not applicable to banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) companies. Among the NIFTY50 companies, there are 39 non-BFSI companies. For the financial year ending 31st March, 2022, 11 companies have no derivative contracts, 8 companies are disclosing as fair value as liability and 20 companies are disclosing as asset. The study found that there is no statistically significant difference in the fair value of derivative contracts for government companies, companies having Indian private ownership and foreign companies. It is also observed, there is no statistically significant relationship between the fair value of the derivatives and leverage of the companies
Exploring the Interconnection of Agricultural Growth and Poverty Reduction in India
Addressing poverty is a pressing issue in developing nations, posing a significant challenge to both economic advancement and societal well-being. While India boasts the title of the world\u27s fastest-growing economy, concerted efforts are imperative to enhance living standards and the overall welfare of its populace. The agricultural sector, serving as a primary source of livelihood, plays a pivotal role in providing employment opportunities and contributing to poverty reduction.
To delve into the impact of agricultural growth on poverty alleviation, this study utilized secondary data from sixteen purposively selected states in India. The objective was to analyze the correlation between poverty levels, Agriculture Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per worker, and Non-Agriculture Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per worker through pooled regression analysis.
The study\u27s findings reveal a noteworthy trend. A one percent increase in Agriculture GDP per worker corresponds to a 0.11 percent reduction in poverty, surpassing the impact of a 0.04 percent reduction associated with Non-Agriculture GDP per worker. This underscores the significance of promoting agricultural growth for more effective poverty reduction, particularly in agrarian economies like India, where a substantial portion of the population relies on agriculture for sustenance.
However, the study also advocates for a balanced and mutually beneficial growth across various sectors of the economy. Such an approach is seen as instrumental in fostering comprehensive poverty alleviation throughout the country

Role Of Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies (CERS) And Mental Health Among School Going Students
Adolescent mental health is a growing concern worldwide, with increasing rates of depression, anxiety, and other psychological disorders among this age group. Comprehensive Education on Resilience Skills (CERS) programs have emerged as a potential intervention to address these challenges. Adolescent mental health disorders are a significant concern, relatively prevalent, and amenable to treatment or intervention. Obstetrician gynaecologists who see adolescent patients are highly likely to see adolescents and young women with one or more mental health disorders. Some of these disorders may interfere with a patient\u27s ability to comprehend or articulate her health concerns and appropriately adhere to recommended treatment. Some disorders or their treatments will affect the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, causing anovulatory cycles and numerous menstrual disturbances. Adolescents with psychiatric disorders may take psychopharmacologic agents to induce menstrual dysfunction and galactorrhea. Adolescents with mental illness often engage in acting-out behaviour or substance use, which increases their risk of hazardous sexual behaviour that may result in pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections. This abstract summarizes the findings of a systematic review and meta-analysis that investigates the effect of CERS on adolescent mental health outcomes. The present study has the following objectives.
To evaluate the Impact of Comprehensive Emotional Resilience Support (CERS) programmes on adolescents\u27 mental health.
To Examine the relationship between CERS interventions and adolescents\u27 psychological health.
The questionnaires were administered equally to 100 adolescents, 50 males and 50 females. Excel was used during the selection procedure to evaluate the Impact of CERS on adolescents\u27 mental health. The investigation provided helpful and useful results and valuable suggestions for future research. After getting all the required data, the study examined the Impact of CERS on the mental health of both male and female adolescents
