Cultural Conflicts And Ethnographic Approach In John Irving’s The World According To Garp
The unstated premise of many “cultural” readings of The World According to Garp is that Irving’s novel can be read as a “thick description” and also of Irving’s Mississippi, something like an ethnographic account of a group of people and a way of life no longer available to us, except through the stories they told about themselves or that others told about them. This anthropological approach in the novel The World According to Garp follows James Clifford’s observation that “much ethnography, taking its distance from totalizing anthropology, seeks to evoke multiple (but not limitless) allegories”. Reading The World According to Garp as something like an ethnographer’s field notes, these cultural critics have produced some startling observations about the governing myths of Frenchman’s Bend; its political and social organization and division according to kinship, race, class, and gender; and its evolving modes of communication and exchange, from storytelling, trade, and barter to Hopeman’s calculated profits from interest loans and credit capitalism
Unlocking The Power Of Alternative Therapy: How Yoga Can Transform Your Quality of Life
The meta-analysis sets to consider the efficacy of yoga performance in the prevention of different problems. Eight studies were highlighted, each targeting a specific sort of yoga and the health problems related to that type. We had the sample size ranging from 400 participants. A weighted average of the relevant composite mean differences and their complementary 95% confidence intervals were computed to identify the direction and magnitude of the achieved effects. A positive effect was detected for all health indicators that were in focus of the study. Hatha Yoga demonstrated effectiveness in reducing anxiety (Effect Size = 0.56, 95% CI: Range of effect sizes in Hatha Yoga was (0.42 to 0.71) with the notable Raja Yoga improvement in depression (Effect Size = 0.75, 95% CI: 0.60 to 0.90). Vinyasa Yoga exhibited a positive impact on cardiovascular health (Effect Size = 0.45, 95% CI: Studies on Omveda revealed effectiveness in glycemic control on Type 2 diabetics (Effect Size = 0.31-0.59), and the Kundalini Yoga group showed usefulness in managing hypertension (Effect Size = 0.64, 95% CI: 0.50 to 0.79). Bikram Yoga showed promise in addressing diabetes (Effect Size = 0.38, 95% CI: Traditional Yoga appears to be helpful for hypertension (Effect Size = 0.24 to 0.52), while the Ashtanga Yoga was advantageous for obesity (Effect Size = 0.51, 95% CI: 0.37 to 0.65). Iyengar Yoga effectively managed chronic pain (Effect Size = 0.70, 95% CI: For the sleeping disorders and insomnia the definitive effectiveness of the Yang Yoga was 0.55 to 0.85, and for the other case beside the Yin the definitive level was 0.80, 95% CI: 0.65 to 0.95. Then, the conclusion of the meta-analysis can be summed up as follows: the practices of different types of yoga are very important to diverse aspects of health and well-being. That reveals yoga as the whole and value-oriented medical intervention that could be applied to a wide range of health problems

Forced degradation study on valbenazine and application of validated stability-indicating HPLC method
Valbenazine, is a medication used to treat tardive dyskinesia. It acts as a vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) inhibitor. The drug was subjected to forced degradation studies as per the conditions prescribed in ICH Q1 (R2) guideline. Valbenazine degraded in hydrolytic (acid and alkaline) and oxidative stress conditions. The drug was found to be stable in thermal and photolytic conditions. The novel degradation products were obtained and were well separated using an HPLC C18 stationary phase Inertsil ODS (150 × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) and mobile phase composed of Phosphate buffer (pH 6.8): Acetonitrile (70:30) pumped at 1.0 mL min−1 flow rate. The column temperature was set at 40°C and the detection at 240 nm using DAD detector. All the degradation products were isolated and characterised. A well resolved chromatographic method proposed in this study suggests that the proposed analytical method finds its application as a stability indicating assay method for the drug and can be used in routine analysis. The developed HPLC method will also suffice the suitability for impurity profiling and assay of Valbenazine in bulk drugs and pharmaceutical formulations.
Judicial Precedent and Discipline under the Indian Constitution
The judicial system administers justice through courts. Judges are individuals who preside over judicial proceedings. They are not only symbolic representations of courts; they are physical embodiments of the courts themselves. Judges conduct in fulfilling their responsibilities impacts the reputation of courts and the credibility of the legal system. In India, judges have always been highly respected and adored as exceptional beings. Judicial discipline, or the absence of it, is a complex topic. It highlights fractured underlying principles that have the potential to conflict with one other. These factors consist of independence, accountability, transparency, impartiality, efficiency, justification and public participation. The doctrine of precedent has become an essential component of judicial discipline due to advancements in law. Article 141 of the Indian Constitution states that decisions made by the Supreme Court must be followed by other courts in India. The principle of precedent is a fundamental aspect of the hierarchical structure of the judicial system. When a higher or concurrent court makes a decision regarding the rights of the parties in a case that establishes a legal principle, it remains binding until it is overturned, which contributes to the evolution of legal principles. This research paper shall discuss the significance of a precedent on its substantive decision rather than on surrounding problems. A precedent is a legal rule that embodies a basic principle, establishing an authoritative aspect referred to as ratio decidendi. Further, shall suggest the Court should exercise prudence when dissenting or overruling in order to preserve stability and consistency. Excessive rigidity could impede the evolution of the law
Masculine Signifying Economy in The Gaze
Masculine signifying economy is a term given by Luce Irigaray which means that masculinity is considered superior than femininity. It is the notion of such an economy wherein male traits are given preference over female traits. Boys are for example right from their childhood taught to hide their emotions. It is considered very girlish to cry. In her work The Gaze (1999) Elif Shafak examines the roles assigned by the society to men and women within Turkish culture. The plot showcases not only the roles but also how a man and a woman is supposed to adhere to the physical attributes designed by the society. A man has to be strong, muscular and tall while a woman has to be very feminine, beautiful and thin. In The Gaze by Elif Shafak, the narrator who is a fat woman serves as a lens through which Shafak explores the pervasive dissatisfaction experienced by women worldwide, despite their adherence to societal expectations. The author emphasizes the necessity of reevaluating gender roles in accordance with personal well-being and principles of egalitarianis
