Background: Cardiovascular disease is one of the largest health issues threatening people\u27s lives in the globe today. These illnesses are the primary cause of death in several states. Objective: The goal of this study is to assess the impact of a counseling intervention program on cardiovascular disease incidence and mortality among the people of the Erbil Governorate.  Subjects and methods: In order to evaluate the efficacy of the counseling intervention program, pre-post intervention studies were carried out on a sample of participants who attended 29 primary health care centers in Erbil city affiliated to the Erbil Health Directorate, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. 100 participants who accepted to participate in the intervention program had their baseline data collected. Each group had 50 participants and was randomly allocated to either the intervention group or the control group. Data was gathered between October 2021 and July 2022. Before implementing the program, the validity of the counselling intervention program was approved by cardiologists and specialists in this field. Prior to data collection, the necessary ethics permissions were obtained. Results: Most of the participants were either in the age range 56-65.9 years (48.0%) of the control group or 46-55.9 years (30.0%) of the intervention group. According to the findings, both groups had a significant prevalence of high blood pressure (74.0% in the control group and 68.0% in the intervention group), and 94.0% of the control group members had diabetes. As a result of the study\u27s findings, the majority of participants in both groups were taking medication to treat high cholesterol. Participants in the intervention group lost more weight than those in the control group (83 vs. 79, p-value.114) and experienced higher changes in their cholesterol and HbA1c (6.4 vs. 6.8, p-value.003) after three months of follow-up. Both triglycerides (214 vs 229 mg/dL, p-value.172) and HDL (45.6 vs 45.2 mg/dL, p-value.841) were significantly different. LDL-C reductions in the intervention group were higher than in the control group (122 vs. 134 mg/dL, p-value = 0.047). Conclusions: The findings show that cardiovascular disease patients can adopt and maintain a variety of lifestyle modifications during the follow-up and counseling periods that can lower and regulate blood pressure and HbA1c, help them lose weight, and raise their HDL-C levels

AIM: This study aims to determine whether the common peroneal nerve flossing approach improves common peroneal nerve function and physical wellbeing. NEED OF THE STUDY: Diabetic neuropathy refers to dysfunction of peripheral nerves experienced by individuals with diabetes mellitus. This condition primarily affects the nerves located in the legs and feet, leading to damage and dysfunction. Increased glucose levels will also cause nerve damage. The nerve flossing technique nerve mobilization technique is used to improve the neuro dynamics in conditions that involve irritation of the nerve. It gently mobilizes the compressed nerves through a set of simple exercises. It helps to reduce pain and to improve the ROM and reduce the damage to the nerve. Nerve mobilization is a technique with static and dynamic stretching that moves the involved nerve through full ROM. Mostly used to treat nerve-related pain and entrapment syndromes. Thus, the study focuses on the effects of nerve mobilization and nerve flossing techniques in subjects with diabetic neuropathy. METHODOLOGY: This study involved recruiting 8 subjects aged between 40-60 years with diabetic neuropathy and an HbA1C level of 6.5% or higher. Both male and female participants with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus were included, and those with an abnormal score exceeding 2.5 on the MNSI, or the Michigan Neuropathy Screening Instrument were selected. Pre-test phase involved conducting nerve conduction studies (NCS), administering the QOL-DN questionnaire to assess quality of life, and then initiating the treatment protocol for a duration of 12 weeks, The treatment consisted of the nerve flossing technique performed twice for 5 repetitions, along with active mobilization performed five times with 10 repetitions and a 5-minute interval between sets. After completion of the treatment protocol, a post-test was administered, utilizing the same outcome measures. The collected data underwent statistical analysis for further evaluation. RESULT: The study results indicated that the nerve flossing technique effectively improved nerve function in individuals with diabetic neuropathy. The results emphasize the potential advantages of integrating nerve flossing techniques into the care and treatment of diabetic neuropathy

Introduction: The therapy of giving yellowfin tuna bone meal to experimental rats is one of the models used to determine the effectiveness of bone meal on changes in healing in ovariectomized rats. Treatment for osteoporosis to date only use provision of calcium as an ingredient for therapy for osteoporosis sufferers. Calcium is needed by the body to help the growth of bones and teeth. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of bone meal on histological features of vertebral bones in an ovariectomized rat model using yellowfin bone meal and Caco3. therapy. Methods: The method used in this study was an experimental study (experimental study) randomized post test control group design to determine the effect of surgical treatment (ovariectomy) and treatment of deproteinated, non-deproteinated yellowfin tuna bone meal and CaCO3 at a dose of (0, 400 , 800 and 1600 mg/kg BW/day) in ovariectomized rats. Results: The results showed that the greater the dose of yellowfin bone meal at a dose of 1600 mg/kg BW/day, the faster the vertebral bone repair towards healing, this was indicated by the bone thickness with the lowest value in the treatment and CaCo3 (63 mm); non-deproteinated (72 mm) and the highest was in the deproteinated treatment at a dose of 1600 (92.24 mm)
