Proposal of a Yoga-Integrated and Ayurveda-Based Personality Framework for Pre-Primary Kids in the Context of Indian Education: Insights from Experts
According to the Ayurvedic tradition, human beings are constituted through foundational principles such as Tridosha, Saptadhatu, Saptaupadhatu, Panchabhuta, and Panchakosha. Among these, the Tridosha are considered central regulators influencing individuals at both physical and psychological levels. The predominance of specific doshas determines one’s Prakriti, defined as the innate constitutional nature of a person. Contemporary psychology examines comparable inherent characteristics under the construct of temperament types. The present study investigates the relationship between Tridosha, a concept rooted in Indian philosophical thought, and temperament, a construct in modern psychology. The findings reveal a significant correlation between temperament and Tridosha. Since temperament or Prakriti directly influences learners and their learning behaviours, the study suggests that educating learning facilitators about temperament-related differences in early childhood education may contribute to improved educational outcomes. From this standpoint, expert reviews were undertaken to identify specific yogic practices suitable for kids aged 3-6 years to support the regulation and balance of the doshas. Based on these expert insights, a framework integrating Ayurvedic dietary regulation and selected yogic practices has been proposed to modulate Tridosha and thereby foster an internally balanced and conducive learning environment in pre-primary education
Green synthesis of Magnesium oxide nanoparticles from peel of Carica papaya and analysis for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial potential
Carica papaya is sometimes known as paw paw which is a fast growing herbaceous plant, it belongs to the Caricaceae family and it contains the proteolytic enzymes papain and chymopapain which are active compounds in breaking down or digesting protein. The extract was mixed with distilled water, treated with magnesium nitrate, centrifuged, and dried at 50°C overnight. UV analysis showed a peak at 302.5 nm, while SEM revealed spherical, flower-like MgO NPs. IR spectroscopy confirmed the presence of OH groups, carbon, and water. The nanoparticles exhibited low anti-inflammatory activity (40% inhibition) and mild antimicrobial effects, demonstrating the potential of papaya peel in green synthesis of MgO NPs with moderate biological properties. The extract concentration influenced the size and morphology of the nanoparticles. The synthesis method was simple, cost-effective, and eco-friendly. Bioactive compounds in the extract likely facilitated nanoparticle formation by acting as reducing and stabilizing agents. Additionally, the process avoided the use of toxic chemicals, making it suitable for sustainable nanomaterial production. Despite modest biological activity, the approach shows promise for further development in biomedical or environmental applications
Evaluation of in vitro cytotoxicity and anti oxidant activity of Tridax Procumbens
Tridax procumbens, a medicinal plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family, has garnered significant attention from researchers worldwide due to its immense antibacterial and antifungal potential, which has been documented through numerous scientific investigations over recent decades. This remarkable plant, commonly known as coat buttons or tridax daisy, is widely distributed across tropical and subtropical regions globally, with particularly extensive presence throughout Asia, Africa, and Australia, where it thrives in diverse environmental conditions ranging from roadsides and agricultural fields to wastelands and urban areas. One of the most notable characteristics of Tridax procumbens from both ecological and medicinal perspectives is its availability in almost all seasons in almost all parts of the country where it grows, ensuring a consistent and accessible supply of plant material for traditional medicine practitioners and, potentially, for commercial pharmaceutical applications. This year-round availability stands in contrast to many medicinal plants that have limited growing seasons or specific habitat requirements, making Tridax procumbens an attractive candidate for sustainable harvesting and cultivation programs aimed at supporting healthcare systems and local economies
Physical Activity, Drinking and Sleep Patterns by Chronic Disease Presence: A Population-Based Study
Background/Objectives: This study aimed to compare psychological factors and health behaviors according to chronic diseases using the Korea Health Panel (KHP).
Methods/Statistical analysis: Data were extracted from 2018 data among the KHP 2008-2018 annual data. After applying cross-sectional weighting, a total of 51,422,507 participants were selected for this study. Descriptive statistics were performed and chi-square or t-test was performed to compare the psychological factors and health behaviors between the presence and absence of chronic disease groups.
Findings: The prevalence of chronic diseases was 14.9% for all age groups in the Korea Health Panel. Psychological factors, such as depressive symptoms, poor perceived health status, and unmet healthcare needs, were higher in people with chronic disease than in those without chronic disease. The number of smokers was higher in people with chronic disease than in those without chronic disease, whereas those with moderate physical activity, sleep time, and drinking were lower in people with chronic disease than in those without chronic disease.
Improvements/Applications: It is necessary to identify health behaviors according to the type of chronic disease, and a wellness approach that considers the characteristics of each disease is needed
Health Literacy, Self-Management Behaviors, and Health-Related Quality of Life of the elderly with Hypertension in Korea’s Urban and Rural Areas
Background/Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore health literacy, self-management behaviors, and health-related quality of life, and to examine the factors influencing the health-related quality of life of elderly people with hypertension living in urban and rural areas.
Methods/Statistical analysis: From November to December, 2017 trained research staff collected data. For two months, 160 urban and rural residents who taking antihypertensive medications, consented to participate in the research, of which, 157 completed the survey. Descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlations, and stepwise regression were used.
Findings: The health literacy of older adults who took antihypertensive medication did not differ in urban areas compared to rural areas. However, the elderly in urban areas reported higher self-management behaviors, while those in rural areas reported a higher health-related quality of life. Health literacy and self-management behaviors were highly correlated. The factors, including older adults in urban areas and those aged 60 to75 years, had the influence on health-related quality of life.
Improvements/Applications: The research findings suggest the design of a health promotion program for older adults with hypertension, considering health literacy, place to live, and the participant’s age , to improve health-related quality of life

Pre-service EFL Teachers\u27 Psychology and Rehabilitation about SLA through WhatsApp in Blended Learning for Special Education
Using discussion boards on the internet as part of a blended learning strategy is becoming more and more common. Although this medium is widely used, little study has been conducted on pre-service English as a Foreign Language (EFL) educators\u27 ideas of acquiring disciplinary topics using online discussion forums. This research intends to address this vacuum by documenting the ideas of learning via like forums held by a team of fifteen pre-service EFL instructors engaged in a second language acquisition (SLA) course at the university level. Phenomenography was used to the analysis of interviews. We identified three experience classifications: reviewing material, metacognitively increasing knowledge, and negotiating knowledge. These include various approaches to course content, sending and replying to messages, and interactions with the instructor. Without the teacher\u27s presence, possible issues were resolved using WhatsApp as an alternative venue. According to the findings, pre-service teachers must be trained in a deep learning strategy that involves meaning negotiation when they use online discussion forums (ODFs)
