The aim of this study is to identify the best combination for a blend comprising bamboo fiber and polyester resin, enhanced by the addition of coconut fiber as a filler. The study primarily focuses on analyzing tensile tests to pinpoint the optimal strength parameters. Furthermore, this investigation seeks to assess the extent to which variations in specific parameters influence the tensile properties of composite materials. These parameters encompass the volume ratio between the matrix and coconut fiber, the alkali concentration percentage, and the length of the coconut fiber. During the composite fabrication phase, the hand lay-up method in conjunction with the Taguchi Method was employed. The L4(23) orthogonal experimental design was selected due to three process parameters, each with two levels. The experiment was replicated five times. The pivotal process parameters under scrutiny encompassed the volume ratio between the matrix and coconut fiber, alkali concentration, and coconut fiber length. The findings of this study reveal that the optimal composition for achieving maximum tensile strength consists of a 60% matrix to 20% coconut fiber volume ratio, a 5% alkali concentration, and a coconut fiber length of 30 mm. This specific composition yielded a tensile test value of 54.34 MPa. Additionally, the most influential parameter contributing to tensile strength was the length of the coconut fiber, contributing 42.560%

Introduction: The learning process carried out by slow learners at special schools garners substantial attention. Gestures that are produced spontaneously by them possibly represent students’ thoughts. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to describe the thinking processes of slow learners when solving integer addition and subtraction problems through their gestures. Methods: A qualitative method with case study research was adopted in this study. The subject of this study was a slow learner student at a Special School in East Java, Indonesia. The student was chosen because he was indicated to produce counterproductive gestures while solving math problems. Counterproductive gestures are gestures from the teacher (source) that are processed inappropriately by the recipient. This phenomenon requires a more comprehensive investigation, particularly for slow learners, to gain deeper insights into their problem-solving cognitive processes influenced by counterproductive gestures. Results: The results of the study showed that slow learner students often saw the movement of the teacher’s lips (source) compared to the movements of other body parts (fingers, arms, and hands). As a result, slow learner students do not understand the meaning conveyed through other body movements (fingers, arms, and hands). Conclusions: Students have difficulty making abstractions on the concept of adding and subtracting integers, causing students to easily experience distraction from actions carried out in the form of gestures. As a result, there is a mismatch of gestures when solving addition and subtraction problems. Keywords: thinking process, gesture, counterproductive gestures, slow learner students, mathematics proble

Situations of disaster, defeat, disease and calamities are normal incidents which are taken by certain people, as challenges and chances for life’s progression. To overcome the hurdles, goals are to be set along with sustainable hope. Charles Snyder’s article, Hope Theory: Rainbows in the Mind, published in 2002 explains that goals can be attained by high-hope individuals through a cyclical occurrence of pathways supported by agency thinking. The present article seeks to close - read Healed (2018), a cancer memoir of Manisha Koirala, applying hope theory of Snyder, to demonstrate how ovarian cancer in the body of Koirala is defeated through various pathways introduced and reinforced by agency thinking or self-motivational utterances, to reach the point of survival. This also attempts to understand how Koirala identifies and uses the traits like Optimism, Aloneness, Determination, Self-esteem, and Self-discovery to establish various pathways supported by the motivational thoughts that leads to achieve the target of recovery. The article also brings forth the transformation of Koirala from a film actor to a social activist working for women’s rights. This is a journey from self to society. It also reflects on how the narrative structure and images used in the text has been constructed to transform the text into a survival memoir

Mark Dunn\u27s novel Ella Minnow Pea (2001) offers a singular and provocative examination of language and its influence on our perception of reality and truth. The author embarks on a linguistic trip that questions conventional ideas of truth and reality in a world where language is not only a tool for communication but also a fundamental component of societal order. This research paper delves deep into the complex network of linguistic experimentation of the narrative exploring how Dunn deftly manipulates language to highlight the frailty of accepted truths and realities. The study opens with a thorough analysis of the primary conceit of Ella Minnow Pea, in which the people of the island of Nollop are forced to delete letters from their language as they plummet from a beloved monument of Nevin Nollop, the island’s linguistic patriarch. Dunn cleverly mimics language’s limitations through this grammatical restraint to accurately depict reality. The paper examines the effects of these linguistic limitations on the characters and society, illustrating how the deterioration of language parallels the erosion of accepted truths. In short, this research paper will explore inventive linguistic solutions, challenging language boundaries and altering perceptions of reality. It argues characters must use creativity to communicate in a non-coherent linguistic system

Psychology Of The Sexual Politics Of War In Pearl S. Buck’s Dragon Seed

The socially constructed toxic masculine norms are inculcated in men from their early stages of childhood. In their attempt to fit the stereotypical notions of masculinity, men are forced to showcase themselves as emotionally insensitive beings. In the initial stages, men resort to aggression as it is the only way for them to express distress and emotions. Later, they use aggression to ascertain their dominance over others. Male aggression thus leads to violence in all forms. Due to the undeniable link between masculinity and violence, war is essentially considered as a male activity. Pearl S. Buck’s Dragon Seed is an incisive piece of writing on the Japanese invasion of Nanjing in 1937. In addition to addressing issues of nationalism, Buck reiterates the sexual politics of wa

    No full text
Introduction: The innovator formulation is meat for its high cost as Innovator Company used to invest millions of dollars. The generic formulation is an alternative to beat the cost. The criteria of generic formulation is should have the bioequivalence as that of RLD (Reference Listed Drug). Reverse engineering is decoding of the RLD to find out qualitative and quantitative composition. Rationale behind reverse engineering is if qualitative and quantitative composition of the formulations is same then performance of the formulation will also be same. That helps to speed up the process of generic formulation development and reduces cost and time. The formulation used in study is anti-opioid uni-dose nasal spray 4mg/0.1ml. The formulation contains of anti-opioid drug, benzoalkoniumchloride(BKC), EDTA, sodium chloride (NaCl) and pH adjusters like hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide. Objectives: The main objective of current research is to perform reverse engineeringof RLD to find out the qualitative and quantitative composition by using different analytical methods and validate the same as per ICH guideline. To develop generic formulation by using data obtained from reverse engineering. To perform similarity study for in-house and RLD formulation. Methods: Different analytical methods were used to perform the reverse engineering of the RLD to find out the qualitative and quantitative composition like HPLC for benzoalkonium chloride and EDTA. Flame photometry for the NaCl, and the Nano-drop UV for the Anti-opioid drug. The Assay, pH, osmolarity and viscosity were performed for complete characterization of the RLD while for in-house to show the similarity Study. Results: The de-formulation was performed for all the components and the methods were validated as per ICH guideline. The correlation coefficient was >0.99 for all components in all the methods. The recovery results ranged from 99.4 to 99.6% for anti-opioid drug, 99.83−100.33% for BKC, 100.02−100.23% for NaCl and 100.3−100.7% for EDTA. The obtained % RSD for precision study were 0.87% (intraday) and 0.76% (interday) for anti-opioid drug, 0.01% (intraday) and0.1 (interday) for BKC, 0.62% (intraday) and 0.54 (interday) for NaCl and 0.62%(intraday) and 0.54 (interday) for EDTA. There were no interference of other components and methods are specific. Conclusions: The reverse engineering gave critical information about the formulation apart from qualitative and quantitative composition like process used by innovator to stabilize the formulation, viscosity of formulation and mechanism of uni-dose nasal spray to provide the better efficacy. That saves time, cost and manpower incurred for the trial batches. The validation of methods gave an assurance for the qualitative and quantitative composition helped for getting affordable bioequivalent generic formulation

Navigating Regulatory Landscapes: A Comprehensive Exploration of New Drug Approval Dossiers in the Complex Markets of the US, EU, and India

    No full text
The Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs (PRA) division plays a crucial role within a pharmaceutical company by effectively steering the company\u27s Research and Development (R&D) initiatives towards market success. In the current context, various countries possess distinct regulatory prerequisites for granting approval to a novel pharmaceutical product. Creating a cohesive regulatory plan for the submission of a new drug product\u27s marketing authorization application (MAA), which could be applied across multiple countries through a single dossier, presents significant challenges. Therefore, the knowledge of exact and detailed regulatory requirements for MAA of each country should be known to establish a suitable regulatory strategy. The creation of the Common Technical Document (CTD) was driven by the goal of establishing a uniform template for technical documentation, streamlining the process of compiling registration applications for human pharmaceuticals. This standardization also aimed to simplify the preparation of electronic submissions while reducing the associated time and resource requirements. The development of a novel pharmaceutical necessitates extensive research across multiple domains, including chemistry, manufacturing practices, quality controls, preclinical sciences, and rigorous clinical trials. Regulatory agencies worldwide assign the task of assessing the research data to drug reviewers, who determine whether they substantiate the public health-serving attributes of safety, efficacy, and quality control for new pharmaceutical products. Each nation maintains an independent regulatory body tasked with enforcing rules and regulations, as well as issuing guidelines to oversee the marketing of pharmaceuticals. This work focuses on drug approval process and new drug applications in different countries like USA, Europe and Indi
