Nurses , who are often at the front lines of patient care, have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 outbreak. The purpose of this research was to learn how many nurses in Riyadh had secondary traumatic stress and burnout as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic. Methods Self-administered questionnaires were used to obtain quantitative data from a representative sample of Riyadh-based nurses. Secondary traumatic stress, burnout, and demographics were all measured by the survey instruments. One-way ANOVA and other inferential statistics were utilized to draw conclusions from the data. The results showed that secondary traumatic stress and burnout were quite common among Riyadh\u27s nurses during the 2009 COVID-19 outbreak. High levels of burnout, defined by emotional tiredness and lower personal achievement, were observed by nurses. Symptoms of secondary traumatic stress included intrusive thoughts and emotional anguish. There were no statistically significant variations in rates of PTSD and burnout by age or gender, according to the data. The study\u27s findings emphasize the severe mental toll the COVID-19 outbreak had on nurses in Riyadh. Nurses\u27 well-being and productivity on the work might be negatively impacted by secondary traumatic stress and burnout. Secondary traumatic stress and burnout are serious problems in the healthcare industry that must be addressed via the implementation of treatments and support systems such as psychiatric counseling, mindfulness training, and time management techniques. Healthcare companies may improve patient outcomes and maintain a stable nursing staff by placing a premium on nurses\u27 happiness and health. There needs to be further investigation into the causes of secondary traumatic stress and burnout among nurses, as well as an assessment of the efficacy of therapies aimed at addressing these issues

    Get PDF
A virtual learning environment, such as VAKT, enhances the present research, instruction, and learning (visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile). Children who have intellectual difficulties could find it difficult to understand place value. Understanding place value is a necessary pre-requisite for learning other mathematical concepts, such as how to use computational skills. Understanding place value becomes vital for enhancing mathematical operation like addition and subtraction. The learning of mathematical concepts should follow the pattern of starting with concrete, then semi-concrete, and finally abstract concepts. The researcher\u27s planned place value teaching technique enables understandings to construct knowledge of ones, tens, and hundreds. This study used a quantitative methodology. The research was conducted through an experiment using a single group design. For CWID, the researcher evaluates the effects of manipulative interventions. The results of the sample (N = 8) revealed that manipulative-based treatments for teaching the place value concept were effective for a range of learning achievements. Base ten blocks may help children with cognitive disabilities comprehend mathematics, according to studies. Additionally, adopting digital learning resources increases their passion and makes learning fun in the current digital era. Keywords: place value, mathematical concepts, manipulatives, Intellectual Disabilitie

Research on Ubd Teaching Design of Junior High School English Based on Big Concept

    Get PDF
The abstract notion of a "Big Concept" is derived from specific factual and conceptual elements, serving as a link between individual concrete concepts, ultimately contributing to the development of a comprehensive understanding and framework of migration. The individual assumes the role of overseeing the organization of course content, development of teaching activities, and implementation of teaching evaluation methods. Understanding by Design (UbD) is a pedagogical framework that integrates two fundamental concepts. The focus of teaching and evaluation in the field of learning and cognition research is centered around the importance of understanding. Another aspect to consider is that the process of acquiring understanding is a continuous endeavor that contributes to the development of educational curricula. In the context of contemporary China, it is evident that certain issues persist in the realm of instructional designs within junior high schools. The lack of clear articulation of teaching objectives and the inability of traditional instructional approaches to adapt to the dynamic educational landscape are evident. The evaluation of teaching and learning is insufficient in terms of effectiveness. Understanding by Design has recently been introduced in China and has the potential to be effectively utilized in various contexts. This paper aims to examine the connotation and significance of the Big Concept and UbD teaching design. It explores the application of UbD teaching design in junior middle schools through specific case studies. The findings of this study offer novel insights into English unit design and facilitate the integration of core English subject competencies in the classroom
