The Psychological Influence of a Musical Therapeutic Intervention on Hospitalized Patients
Background: Non-pharmacological interventions appear to be beneficial to a large number of patients and lack the prevalent side effects of medications. Experiences involving music may benefit patients in intensive care.
Objective: To investigate the impact of a musical therapeutic intervention on the physiological parameters and self-reported pain and anxiety levels of intensive care unit patients.
Materials and methods: A single-group, Pretest-Posttest, within-subject design was used to perform the research. The population being studied was made up of a convenience sample. Throughout a 30-minute music therapy session, individuals either got a relaxing treatment or a "song choice" treatment. Patients conducted pain and anxiety self-assessments before and after the intervention, and the music counselor monitored how they were doing both times.
Results: Following the intervention, respiratory rate, pulse rate, and self-reported pain and anxiety levels decreased significantly (all P< .001). The level of oxygen saturation did not change significantly. Outcomes varied between the two intervention groups; patients who received the relaxation intervention frequently fell unconscious.
Conclusions: In intensive care units, the results of this study support the use of active music therapy as a non-pharmaceutical intervention. This study may open the door for further extensive and diversified future studies on music therapy in hospitals with intensive care
Standardization of Mother Attachment Inventory in Indian Context for Senior Secondary Students: Psychometric Approach
Aim and Objectives of present study: To standardize the Maternal Attachment Inventory (MAI) which is derived from the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment Inventory, in Indian context; to report the reliability scores in form of Cronbach’s Alpha; and to test its psychometric properties in a sample comprising of 250 students (including both boys and girls) studying in class XI of co-ed schools of Delhi. Background of present study: Though there are several studies which report the use of IPPA towards understanding the role of parental and peer attachment among adolescents and emerging adults, however there is strong dearth felt for standardization and psychometric report availability towards individual inventories within the IPPA. Moreover, this is one among a few studies which focus on cultural standardization of the tool within Indian context. Research Design followed for present study: cultural validation and standardization of research tools using structural equation modeling. Factor structure was developed for the tool using EFA. This was followed by CFA which helped to determine and confirm the factors extracted. Research Method: Data was collected between November 2022 and March 2023. In stage I the data collected with the help of the research instrument was cleaned and exported onto a user-friendly statistical database (SPSS version 23.0). In stage II the factor structure was tested on participants comprising of senior secondary school students studying in class XI of identified co-ed schools functioning in morning session within Delhi-NCR. Stage-III involved confirmation of factors emerged from the study.Findings: A four-factor structure with eighteen items emerged namely Trust, Communication and Alienation, which is in alignment with the original scale IPPA. The Indian version is reliable and valid for assessing maternal attachment in adolescents up to 17 years of age. Conclusion: The psychometric testing revealed that the dimensions of the present scale were adequate for measuring attachment relationships between Indian mothers and adolescents in cultural-friendly manner. This study also recommends the use of such tools to measure social connections and attachment relationships. Hence, this can have far -reaching consequences in prevention and management of relationship issues among emerging adults

A Demographic and Psychological Study on Universal Health Care Pmjay Model and Its Experience
Good Health is a fundamental requirement and right of every individual in any society. It is the duty of the Government to ensure Best Health Care Support to all its citizens. Financially Weaker and Poor section of the population are the worst hit if there is no access to health care support or if the health care support is inadequate for them. Most of the earlier schemes in India have run in to rough weather due to multiple reasons. Government’s resources cannot be allowed go waste down the drain. To overcome the problems, Government of India introduced the new health care programme called Ayushman Bharat. The current study provides empirical evidence with regard to its coverage (comprehensiveness), linkage (Awareness and Availability of facilities), transmission and efficiency (final outcome). To understand whether the AB Scheme takes care of all expectations of the targeted population, 35 actual beneficiaries and their families were personally interviewed through administering a comprehensive questionnaire encompassing over areas of coverage (adequacy), linkage (access), and transmission(timely support) to share their actual experience and opinion. The answers given are tubulated and analysed using SPSS 25 Software. It is found that, awareness level was very low as majority of the people have got to know of this programme only on getting admitted in hospital. However, the beneficiaries are quite happy with the treatment delivery mechanism as their experience at the time of admission and discharge is noted to be very good. So also, the comfort level and medical care whilst in the hospital is also found to be very good. As the programme is expected to be run on the lines of Universal Health Care, the scheme needs to be made available to all people irrespective of one’s economic status. The awareness needs to be scaled up by giving Top Priority.

Realizing the Psychology behind the Dangers of Addiction to Drugs and Psychotropic Substances among Preparatory Students
The current research aimed to identify the awareness of the risks of addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances among middle school students, and to clarify the significance of statistical differences in the awareness of the risks of addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances according to the variables of gender (male, female) and academic specialization (scientific - literary). To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher relied on the use of the (descriptive-relational approach) to reveal the awareness of the dangers of addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as building a scale of perception of the dangers of addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances among middle school students, based on the theory of Ulrich Beck (1986), and the scale was composed in its final form. After completing the conditions of honesty, constancy, discriminatory power, and internal consistency of (40) items. As a complement to this, the researcher applied the scale to a sample of (400) male and female middle school students in the center of the city of Diwaniyah, which was chosen in a stratified random manner with a proportional method. After collecting the data and processing it statistically using the Statistical Bag for Social Sciences (SSPS).It is worth noting that the findings of the research are that middle school students do not have an awareness of the dangers of addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances. The results also showed that the difference between males and females on the scale is statistically significant and in favor of males. The results also showed that the difference in both the scientific and literary specializations on the scale is statistically significant and in favor of the scientific specialization. The results also showed that the difference between male and female students in both the scientific and literary specializations is not statistically significant, and thus it did not show an interaction of gender and academic specialization in influencing the awareness of the risks of addiction to drugs and psychotropic substances to the middle school students
Association between Virtual Reality Distraction on Anxiety and Pain in Primary Schoolchildren during Infection Dental Anesthesia
Background: In dentistry, a variety of strategies has been employed with remarkable success in managing anxiety in young children, particularly during the administration of local anesthesia. Virtual reality is one of the most recent inventions in technology. This study sought to determine how distraction from virtual reality affected children\u27s anxiety and pain during infiltration anesthesia. Methods: Children from primary schools between the ages of 6 and 12 who needed dental work done under infiltration anesthesia were chosen at random to participate in a test in the pediatric dentistry program at Al-Farahidy University. During the first visit, local anesthetic was given while the participants wore virtual reality goggles to view a cartoon. On their second visit, while local anesthetic was being administered, kids watched a cartoon movie on a screen. When the patient is seated in the dentist chair for the baseline measurement, when the video is on, and when topical anaesthetic is applied, the heart rate was measured using a pulse oximeter to determine anxiety in both situations. Using the Wong-Baker FACES scale, pain was assessed. Results: Overall, 50 people with an average age of 8.4 1.46 years participated. A total of 29 participants, or 58.0%, were female. The mean heart rate of the test group was considerably higher than that of the control group at every time point except baseline. Regardless of the distraction approach used, multiple regression analysis revealed that younger individuals and females had higher mean FLACC behavioural pain assessment scale ratings (P = 0.034 and P = 0.004, respectively). After adjusting for all other factors, people who were younger and those with greater baseline heart rates reported higher mean Wong-Baker FACES pain rating scale scores (P = 0.031 and P = 0.010, respectively).
Conclusion: Regardless of the type of distraction utilised, women and younger age groups were more likely to report experiencing more discomfort following local anaesthetic injection
Critical Study of Stoic Pragmatism as Consumption Ethics in the Post-Pandemic Era
This paper shows that Stoic Pragmatism can be an alternative perspective to answer the exclusivity problem of consumption in consumeristic and minimalistic lifestyles, especially in the post-pandemic era. The main problem is an excessive desire to fulfill the lifestyle itself. Stoic Pragmatism allows the recognition of a specific way of life even though there is a consumption tendency and the placement of diverse desires. Stoic Pragmatism attitude is accepting and developing that diversity. The pragmatic dimensionemphasizes optimism and enthusiasm that departs from everyday life. The stoics dimension balances the pragmatic dimension with virtues and self-acceptance of some part of reality that must be acknowledged. Thus, an ethic of consumption promoted by Stoic Pragmatism can lead a person to live life towards the highest happiness, namely peace without distraction (ataraxia) and tranquility. Stoic Pragmatism offers an art of life that is both optimistic and realistic within existing limitations
To use or not to use Wiki: Gen Z* Perception, Motivational Factors, and Use of the People\u27s Encyclopedia in Course-Related
The researchers examined college students\u27 perceptions, motivation, and use of Wikipedia as aresource for their course-related researchassignments. To obtain information on Wikipedia\u27s usefulness, reliability, and accuracy, the researchers surveyed 210 senior students from the College of Arts and Sciences, Cagayan State University, Philippines. To understand the students\u27 opinions on Wikipedia use and substantiate the survey results, the authors conducted a focus group discussion (FGD). Results of the survey revealed that students overall had a neutral perception of Wikipedia as aresource for their course-related writing assignments. These Gen Z digital natives use the site as a starting point to get an initial orientation on topics assigned to them. Results revealed that students consider themselves occasional users who visit the platform for quick help but only at the start of the research process. Results, however, showed evidence proving that those who worked with Wikipedia remained neutral in their opinion on the site\u27s reliability and accuracy of information. The researchers also ran a Chi-Square test to assess the association between students\u27 academic program and perception, motivation, and use of the people’s encyclopedia. Results manifested a link between academic programs and perception of the accuracy of Wikipedia information. They concluded that students use Wikipedia and rely on it to get a head start on their course-related research assignments. While students believe that the site can be a goldmine in terms of preliminary research and literacy, they are still determining the accuracy of Wikipedia information. They provided appropriate recommendations in light of the emerging results
