This study explores the complexities of women’s problems throughout the Victorian Era via a gynocritical examination of Louisa May Alcott’s iconic novel, “Little Women.” The story examines several facets of Victorian-era women’s lives in the eyes of the March family. Examining the interplay between family relationships, educational opportunities, and civic engagement, this research aims to shed light on the many obstacles women encountered at that time. The study, which draws on the story and historical backdrop, elucidates the expectations placed on women, the roles they played in the home and the classroom, and the agency they displayed in the public sphere. The research finds striking similarities between the story and the larger social and cultural milieu of the Victorian era using a mix of textual analysis and secondary sources. In addition, it delves into the interplay between gender, class, and authorial viewpoints, specifically with regard to Alcott’s own ideas and life events. The results of this study highlight the importance of “Little Women” as a portrayal of the challenges faced and triumphs achieved by women during a critical era in history. This study sheds light on the multifaceted experiences of Victorian women and how they continue to impact modern conversations about gender and society by placing the book in its socio-historical context and using a gynocritical perspective

Financial institutions play a crucial role in fostering economic development within a nation. With India aspiring to achieve developed status by 2047 and having recently ascended to the fifth position in global economic power in 2024, the focus on rural development is paramount. In response to the rural credit deficit, the Narsimham committee introduced Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) on October 2nd, 1975. These banks were established with the primary aim of providing credit to rural communities, enabling them to engage in economic activities and fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises to enhance their standard of living. Like any other business entity or financial institution, RRBs operate with the objective of generating profits. Thus, it is imperative for RRBs to earn sufficient profits to cover their expenses. This research paper seeks to analyse the profit and loss trends of RRBs over a decade, spanning from 2013-14 to 2022-23. The analysis is based on secondary data collected from sources such as the annual reports of NABARD and RBI, key statistics, financial statements of RRBs, as well as relevant published books, articles, and websites

    No full text
Introduction: Nutritional status (NS) is crucial for the treatment and prognosis of cancer patients. This study seeks to investigate different methods and tools employed for the purpose of determining the nutritional status of people under treatment of cancer. This study also aims to understand, consequently, the correlation between nutritional status and cancer treatment outcome by conducting a thorough analysis of existing literature and suggesting potential areas for future research. Extensive research has shown a significant link between nutritional status and the outcomes of cancer treatment. Malnutrition, especially cachexia, is linked to unfavorable treatment results and higher mortality rates. Nutritional interventions like oral nutritional supplements, enteral nutrition, and parenteral nutrition have been proven to enhance treatment response and decrease toxicity in cancer patients. The relationship between nutritional status and cancer treatment outcomes involves intricate and multifaceted mechanisms. The nutritional status can impact the immune system, inflammation, and metabolism, consequently influencing cancer progression and treatment response. While starvation can impair immune function and encourage the spread of cancer, receiving adequate dietary nourishment can strengthen the immune system\u27s ability to recognise and eliminate cancer cells. Objective: i, To understand the different methods employed for the evaluation of the nutritional status in people on cancer treatment.          ii, To understand the intricate connection between nutritional status and cancer treatment and management. Methodology: A systematic literature review was performed by searching through PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. Studies published from 2000 to 2023 were considered. The keywords searched for included "malnutrition," "nutritional status," "pediatric oncology," and "childhood cancer." Conclusion: This systematic review emphasizes the substantial influence of nutritional status on cancer and its treatment. Specific nutritional assessment techniques can improve the traceability of patients that require intervention and specific interventions can enhance treatment response and decrease toxicity, resulting in improved survival rates. However, additional research is required to determine the most efficient nutritional assessment strategies. By comprehending these connections, clinicians can create customized nutritional strategies to enhance cancer treatment results and improve patient quality of life
