Diminishing the Requirement of Power using PLC and SCADA system in Power grid system
Power management is an important constraint in the design of various loads in industries for automation. So if power consumption increases then the substation monitoring is very important for the purpose of controlling the hardware and software optimization with the help of PLC ladder logic system and SCADA were used. This technique in order to reach strong conclusion about their actual impact on the power grid monitoring and control without manpower. The basic idea behind substation control project is to monitor the switchyards in substation. In substation many relays and circuit breakers are used. When any one breaker is trip because of the problems, we can monitor and control through SCADA windows. In power management project, the computer is used for assigning the priority for various loads. The signals are given to the computer of the electricity board where there is the electronic control unit which controls the sequence of disconnecting the load. On basis of controls from the computer the breakers are managed and in computer the SCADA system is installed which is used for monitoring and control. If there any problem occurs in plant, we can easily identify which part is trip.Afterthat we can troubleshoot the problem through manpower and monitor the substation
IIR filter design using CSA for DSP applications
In this paper, a design methodology to implement low-power and high-speed 2nd order recursive digital Infinite Impulse Response filter has been proposed. Existing IIR digital filters have a large number of constant multiplications. The proposed method replaces constant multiplications by using addition/subtraction and shift operations. The proposed new adder cell is used as the Carry-Save Adder to implement addition/subtraction operations in the design of recursive section IIR filter to reduce the delay. Furthermore, high level algorithms designed for the optimization of the number of CSA blocks are used to reduce the complexity of the IIR filter. The microwind tool is used to generate the schematic of the proposed CSA based shift-adds architecture design and it will be analyzed by using Micro wind CAD tool to synthesize low-complexity and high speed IIR filters. The proposed design reduces power, propagation delay, area and increase throughput when compared with the existing technology

Optimal allocation of PMU considering controlled islanding of power system using hybrid optimization algorithm
This paper proposes an optimal allocation of phasor measurement unit (PMU) placement model under controlled islanding of power system such that the power network remains observable under controlled islanding condition in addition to normal operation condition. The optimization objective of proposed model is to reduce the number of installed PMUs by using hybrid optimization algorithm. The objective is pooled together with a weighting variable such that the optimal solution with less PMU number would be achieved from the model. To decrease the number of required PMUs, the significance of zero-injection bus is considered and incorporated into the model. IEEE standard systems used to test the presented model. Results are presented to exhibit the effectiveness of the proposed technique

Dual-Tox 7T SRAM Cell Design for Leakage Power Reduction on 45nm Technology
This paper presents techniques based on dual oxide thickness assignment to reduce the leakage power of SRAM but maintaining their performance. The proposed a new seven transistors (7T) dual oxide thickness SRAM cell is proposed in this paper for simultaneously reducing the active and standby mode power consumption while enhancing the data stability and the read speed. With the new 7T SRAM cell, the storage nodes are isolated from the bit lines during a read operation, thereby enhancing the data stability as compared to the standard six transistors (6T) SRAM circuits. The transistors of the crosscoupled inverters are not on the critical read delay path with the new technique. Minimum sized dual-oxide thickness transistors are therefore conveniently used in the cross-coupled inverters for significantly reducing the leakage power consumption without causing degradation in the read speed. With the proposed 7T SRAM circuit, the static noise margin and the read speed are enhanced by up to 83% and 15%, respectively, as compared to the conventional 6T SRAM circuits. Furthermore, the leakage and the write power consumptions of the proposed dual-Tox SRAM circuit are reduced by up to76% as compared to the conventional6T SRAM circuits in a 45nm CMOS technology

Character Identification in Video Using Face Name Matching Method
With the advances in technology the hunger for the smart systems is seeing a tremendous rise in the last five years. Face detection and recognition is one of the method of adding to the range of such smart systems. Face recognition is the integral part of various surveillance systems in our modern world. Different techniques have been introduced and various theories have been proposed for the same. There are various techniques of face recognition in images but few are introduced in the field of face recognition through videos. In this paper we propose a system which focuses on recognition of faces in videos. This system includes following main steps input video, face detection, and face recognition and labelling. We will be using AdaBoost along with haarcascade for fast face detection. We have used OpenCV library which has a collection of various Image Processing functions. The system thus proposed reduces the cost and time of developing a face recognition unit. The proposed system can be used in various applications ranging from entertainment to security
