Traumatized articular cartilage of knee joint treated with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in wistar albino rats
The aim of this study is to find out the effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in repairing the traumatized articular cartilage of knee joint in Wistar albino rats and to assess its healing potential by gross motor activities and micro anatomy. study. Materials and Methods: 14 male Wistar albino rats were divided into 2 groups (Control and Experimental) .Control group - Normal rats (4 rats) and Experimental groups. Experimental group is further divided into 2 groups, Sub Group A - Injured articular cartilage without BMSCs (5 rats) and Sub Group B - Injured articular cartilage with BMSCs (5 rats). For experimental group rats left knee joint was selected randomly and it was opened and articular cartilage was damaged. In Sub Group B alone BMSCs was injected at the site of injury. Experimental groups rats were observed for gross motor activities on 3rd, 10th and 30th day and Histology study was also done at the same days. Results: Previous study revels BMSCs had positive impact in structural reformation of a damaged menisci in knee joint and this study shows rapid functional and structural improvement in rats treated with BMSCs than rats without BMSCs treatment. Conclusion: Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells can be used as an alternative treatment for osteoarthritis in human beings
A Review and Comparative Analysis of Modal Logics:BAN,GYN,and SVO
Traditionally, security protocols have been designed and verified using various techniques. Formal logics have been used to identify a number of flaws in protocolspreviously considered to be secure. The selection of proper modal logic is a crucial goal in the protocol analysis and verification process. This paper gives a comparative study of modal logics, which are widely used in modeling of security protocols. We will focus on logics of authentication. However, we will not only be discussing logics, but also be looking at the ‘rhyme and reason’ of authentication, the attempts to formalize and define notions of authentication and to apply these. Thus, we will also be considering the logic of authentication in a broader sense. This paper discusses three modal logics: BAN, SVO, and GYN. A formal analysis of these three has been presented
FEM Analysis of Impact of Cylindrical Tool on Composite Laminated Plate
Aviation sector, War and general purpose Helmet making industries, War equipments making industries uses high velocity impact analysi for design purposes To analyse high velocity impact conditions, it is very difficult to achieve it by experimental set up because of high costing of experimentation as well as technical limitations of experiment like high velocity cameras, velocity measurement instruments etc, while the use of computer simulation help researchers to conduct these type of studies easily. In this study the failure of an alloy AL6061-T6 with Kevlar- 29, and E-Glass composite laminated plates under highvelocity impact from cylindrical projectile tool of structural Steel was investigated using the nonlinear explicit FEM software, ANSYS AUTODYN.Two velocities of 150 m/s and 500 m/s were selected for FEM simulation. It was analyzed that metal alloy AL6061-T6 is more resistant than composite materials at various combination of layers of composite plate, only use of composite material combination can not sufficient for overall strength of laminated plate so use of metal alloy is good approach. It was also observed that tool mass and tool overall dimension play an important role for failure of composite laminated plates. In this study Plate thickness was kept constant but plate layer combinations were changed. Experimental validation was also done in this study by previous published research paper
Free Radical Scavenging activity in Methanolic extract of Musa paradisiaca peel.
Musa paradisiaca (Banana) is one of the oldest cultivated plants. Methanolic extract of peel of Musa paradisiacawas subjected to in vitro free radical scavenging assays like DPPH, ABTS and lipid peroxidation inhibition assay. The antioxidant potential was determined by different mode of assay to confirm the total antioxidant capacity. The results obtained were analyzed . Significant free radical scavenging activity was exhibited in methanolic extract of Musa paradisiaca peel. The study indicated methanolic extract of Musa paradisiaca has high free radical scavenging activity. Hence could be useful to combat free radical mediated diseases
SVPWM based grid connected PV system with fuzzy MPPT under partially shading conditions
To convert solar energy more viable, the efficiency of solar array systems should be maximized. An easier approach to maximizing the efficiency of solar array systems is Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). This work proposes a fuzzy based controller which always attains the global maximum point in shaded panels. The proposed MPPT has been implemented by combining fuzzy logic based MPPT with a scanning and storing system. The proposed MPPT is able to reach the global maximum power point (MPP) under any partial shading conditions. Moreover, the controller exhibits a fast speed of convergence, having small oscillation around the MPP during steady state. In order to use power produced effectively a three phase inverter with space vector pulse width modulation was developed. Since it contains only higher order harmonics and so the THD can be maintained at the optimum value
Watermarking Techniques Review
In today's corporate world, millions of images are travel widely and rapidly, in multiple manifestations, through email and across the Internet. Controlling and protecting sensitive or confidential documents and images has become very important now days.A digital watermark is a digital signal or pattern inserted into a digital image. A given watermark may be unique to each copy (e.g. to identify the intended recipient), or be common to multiple copies. In either case, the watermarking of the document involves the transformation of the original into another form. In this paper we aim to present a review of different techniques on digital image watermarking.Digital watermark techniques are used in various areas such as copyright protection, broadcast monitoring and owner identification. This review elaborates the most important methods of spatial domain and transform domain like DCT, DFT, DWT, and focuses the merits and demerits of these techniques
A hybrid microgrid and its co-ordination control with Real- time pricing algorithm
This paper presents a hybrid AC/DC micro grid which will reduces the process of several reverse conversions in an individual AC and DC grid. The renewable sources such as wind generators, photovoltaic panels and fuel cell are connected to a hybrid grid. AC sources and loads are linked with AC grid and DC sources and loads are linked with DC grid. The proposed hybrid grid operates in a grid-tied or autonomous mode. Both AC and DC networks are connected by a multi- bidirectional converter. This multi-bidirectional converter operates in parallel with AC and DC grid. Hence, demand over an individual grid can be coordinately controlled by multi-bidirectional converter. The real-time pricing algorithm is proposed. Real-time pricing provides a benefit to the subscriber by providing an optimal cost of power to the load. A hybrid grid has modeled and simulated using the Simulink in the MATLAB. The simulation results show that the system can provides uninterrupted power, smooth power transfer between AC and DC link and also manage the demand
Non Critical Power Aware Routing Algorithm For Mobile Ad Hoc Network
In the paper we find out the problem related to the mobile ad hoc network after research we investigate the one problem is to be lifetime enhancement of mobile nodes. Here we use 2 metrics: residual-battery capacity and other one is non critical node used for to route the packets from source to sink. The proposed method focus on non-critical node if all nodes in the network involves the residual- battery capacity above the threshold range. Proposed method is uses the software as Qualnet Simulator version 4.5. Proposed method compared against the all previous exist algorithms. From the results, we judge that the proposed method has reached at the top position in terms of the number of continue to exists nodes, energy saving and number of nodes with zero remaining energy
Experimental analysis of mechanical properties of sea shell particles- polymer matrix composite
Sea shell is available in nature. In general, sea shell has more strong which incorporated with Orthophthalic resin. Sea shell particle size is varying in polymer matrix composites. In this composite, various sizes of particles are 75m, 150m, 300m, 425m and 600m and the content of particles is 30gm are used. Here, mechanical properties (impact strength, hardness, flexural strength, tensile strength) are evaluated as per ASTM standard and optimise the results. The fractured surfaces are analyzed with the help of SEM pictures.
