Design, Analysis and Implementation of DLL clock generator
In this paper we present design, analysis and implementation of Delay Locked Loop (DLL) based clock generator circuits. In this work a DLL has been proposed the design uses dynamic phase detector (PD) for phase detection. Voltage controlled delay line (VCDL) of proposed DLL consists of twelve delay elements. Current starved inverters have been used as delay element. In this paper, a proposed duty cycle corrector solves the problem of the sensitivity to half transparent (HT) architecture and the stuck locking error in the DLL simultaneously proposed DLL is designed to work at an input frequency of 250MHz. The design also generates an output of 3GHz using a frequency multiplication block. The design uses 180nm CMOS process technology and consumes 1.88mW of power at 1.8V

Mobile technology for Health, Its Practicability and Cost Effectiveness in Improving Health Service Delivery in Nigeria: A case study of Potiskum Local Government. This study was guided by the following research objectives: i) to establish the practical use of mobile technology in the health sector of Potiskum Local Government; ii) to examine the effectiveness of mobile technology in improving health service delivery in Potiskum Local Government; iii) to identify barriers to mobile technology implementation in the health sector of Potiskum Local Government and iv) to determine the relationship between mobile technology and service delivery in the health sector of Potiskum Local Government, Nigeria. The study employed cross-sectional survey design and data was collected using both open and closed ended questionnaires from a sample size of 377 respondents comprising of the patients, health workers and health system managers.The study established that the practical use of mhealth in the Health Sector of Potiskum Local Government included among others healthcare telephone helpline, emergency toll free telephone services and mobile phone technology for recording patient information. The study also revealed that mhealth is an efficient platform in improving healthcare service delivery. However, its potential is not yet fully explored in Potiskum Local Government. There were also a number of barriers such as operational cost, lack of knowledge and policies that hindered the smooth implementation of mhealth technology. Furthermore, the study indicated a significant correlation between mhealth technology and service delivery in Potiskum Local Government (r=0.985, r<0.000).The study concluded that there is a growing body of evidence for what works within mHealth and where the underlying barriers to and gaps in scale and sustainability are at present. Ultimately, mobile healthcare services and devices are only effective if adopted by healthcare professionals and patients. The study recommended that Healthcare solution providers must therefore focus on developing products and services that are easy to use, without additional layers of complexity. Healthcare professionals must see clear and immediate benefits from any new device before adding it to an already bulging doctor or nurse’s bag
Intelligent Traffic Control System for Ambulance Clearance and Stolen Vehicle Detection
This paper deals with the effective use of wireless technology and high speed micro controller to provide smooth and clear flow of traffic for emergency vehicle to reach the destination on time. This is implemented by using ARDUINO, RFID reader for detecting the RFID tag placed in the emergency vehicle. The information on detecting the emergency vehicle is sent to the traffic system through RF transmitter and receiver system, for automatically controlling the traffic light until the emergency vehicle passes through. Pair of IR sensors is used to estimate the congestion near the traffic and this information is provided to the ambulance driver using GSM. In addition to this scheme, the system also detects the stolen vehicle passing through that path. On detecting the stolen vehicle the information is sent to the control room through GSM for immediate action
An Implementation of Gesture Recognition Smart home technology using Android and Matlab
In this world where today’s home require sophistication every operations are performed by human are getting simple in order to make it more simpler we have introduced a new innovation for physically handicapped and for normal people. I present an innovation which has three modes. The current home automation systems either concentrate normal people or handicapped people. The first mode uses a smart phone with Bluetooth connection that has an application and the second mode is specifically designed for physically handicapped especially whose hand movements are captured for controlling home appliances and the third mode is hand gloves wireless system. This system design will cover both the hardware implementation and software interface of the wireless system. In the foregoing dissertation, I tried to put forward language description formalism called Collages. It can be used to engineer Domain Specific Languages (DSLs), which are computer languages made to solve problems of specific domains. Here the focus on DSLs which have algorithmic design and are supposed to be used in corporate environments. Domain specific language can be broken in three parts, these are abstract syntax, description language conceptualization & relationship among them and last is their constraints which encode rules of domain. Domain’s concrete syntax produces graphical and textual presentation of abstract syntax elements. Their semantics meaning are normally defined operationally. Operational semantics normally encoded system behavior and could be described as a collection of “elements”, each denoting the transformation This paper present on sphere feature model, sphere architecture design and area implementation in an enterprise. This paper demonstrates the accounting management feature modeling based on the extended (Feature-Oriented Domain Analysis) FODA method and system architecture of accounting management domain, integrates Aspect Object Oriented Programming technology with domain implementation, and designs a whippersnapper AOP framework based on the object proxy pattern to separates crosscutting concerns in the domain implementation phrase. New Method to Achieve AC Harmonic Elimination and Energy Storage Integration for 12-Pulse Diode Rectifiers
The 12-pulse rectifier is often used to supply high power industrial loads. Its ability to effectively and cheaply mitigate the harmonics on the ac side has ensured its dominance in the industry even as active front ends become cheaper and more reliable. Despite its many benefits, the 12-pulse rectifier is not able to reduce the ac-side harmonics to a level acceptable by the pertinent IEEE standards without additional filtering. In this paper, we outline a novel method to profile the rectifier output current to be triangular which results in low ac-side harmonics. The novelty in the proposed approach is that we exploit the dc-side filter design to minimize the volt-amperes (VA) rating of the current source used to profile the dc-side rectifier current. Additional benefits of the proposed method include lower VA rating of the dc filter, simple integration of dc energy storage, and effective ac harmonic control even when the initial rectifier current is discontinuous
Smart bus ticket collecting system
The objective of this paper is to issue tickets in public transport system using Android mobile and a smart card. In general, Every Bus has a conductor who will collect money and issues ticket to each passenger. It will take a lot of time as well as create manual error. To overcome this problem, a new system is proposed. In this proposed system,IR sensor is used to count the number of persons entering into the bus.Smart card used here is an RFID which is rechargeable.It contains the informations such as name,mobile number and address.The RFID reader will read the information in the RFID Tag.A message will be send to the concerned persons mobile.The user must enter the destination.The corresponding amount will be deducted from the smart card.The microcontroller used here is PIC16F877A.Incase of any accidents or misuses, a message will be send to the checker in the nearby station through GSM.To identify the location, GPS is used
PLC based coal level sensing in thermal power plants
This paper refers to the plc based automation that can be carried out in the coal mining area and thermal power plant where coal handling is of prime importance. A coal-fired power plant typically has silos, bunkers or stockpiles in which the fuel is placed for storage purposes. Real-time feedback sensors are utilized to sense the coal height so data can be sent to downstream systems for further processing. there should be proper monitoring and observation over the level of the coal in the storage tanks which involves keeping continuous watch over the tanks in hazardous conditions. The performance of ultrasonic, radar, and laser rangefinder sensors was investigated to determine the height of coal stockpiles in various sites in a coal-fired power plant. hence this paper will bring you a brief idea about the various sensor that can be used to detect the level of the coal in the tanks with the sole controlling and monitoring action performed by programmable logic controller
