An Integrated Dc-Dc Converter Topology With Buck And Boost Outputs

    No full text
Multi-port DC-DC converter topologies can be used to generate multiple DC outputs from a single DC input source. These topologies are synthesized by replacing the control switch of a boost converter with series-connected switches and using the additional switch nodes to generate step-down output. This concept of replacing the single switch of the boost converter with two switches in series can be extended to n-number of switches in order to generate multiple outputs. A closed loop control system for the converter has been described for regulation of both the outputs. Present-day power electronic systems require multiple dc outputs at different voltage levels. Auxiliary circuits are often present in addition to the main power stage, and they should be powered at low voltages. This converter topology can provide a step-up output, which forms the main power stage, along with an auxiliary step-down output. To verify the performance of this topology, simulations are done using MATLAB or SIMULINK

Management of Hybrid Power using Micro-Controller

    Get PDF
This paper represents optimization of power management system (PSM) for standalone micro-grid with hybrid power generation. We are going to generate hybrid power by using photovoltaic model and small wind mill. The output hybrid power is not constant and continuous therefore if in case of generation is less than load demand then by managing loads by using micro-controller. If hybrid power is reduced and micro-controller is not present then there is stress on micro-grid. Therefore there will be possibility of system failure to avoid this we are managing loads by using micro-controller. Here by managing loads we have done optimized use of generated energy. Therefore efficiency of the system increases. Renewable energy is the future of energy sector for that its management is useful in future

The article played roles with the implementation of simple mechanism for detection of range, area of tumor in brain MRI pictures. Tumor is an uncontrolled growth of tissues in any part of the human body and are of different types with varying characteristics and treatments. Diagnosis is the most significant aspect of any ailment. As it is known, brain tumor is inherently serious and life-threatening because of its character in limited spaced intracranial cavity. Most researches in developed countries manifest that number of people who have brain tumor died due to inaccurate diagnosis. Generally, CT scan or MRI directed into intracranial cavity produces a complete image of brain. However, this image is visually examined by the physician for diagnosis, which has subjective results. To avoid that, this paper aims at using computer aided method for detection of brain tumor with the help of K-means, Fuzzy C-means and Adaptive K-means algorithms. These methods have their own pros and cons pertaining to accuracy and complexity; and are run over an exhaustive dataset for automatic tumor area extraction

Review paper based on cleaning robot

    No full text
In this paper, we implemented a human-friendly cleaning robot system for the domestic ubiquitous environment. Though conventional automatic cleaning robots already exist, these robots do not work in sync with humans. These robots' cleaning operations often obstruct a person in the home. Therefore, a robot that does not interfere with human activity in the home is required. What indicates human activity most in the home is the usage status of home appliances such as electrical appliances, doors, and lights. In our system, a robot can identify where humans are active by receiving the usage status of home appliances via a network. The usage status of home appliances changes the robot's running pattern and consequently the robot avoids humans and cleans without causing obstruction. We conduct an operational experiment of our prototype system in a room in which some sensors are installed to create an experimental environment. We then measure the execution time of the prototype system .From the results of experiments, it is found that a cleaning robot system which works through interaction with equipment in the home and does not disturb humans can become a reality

Enhanced Online Authentication Using Virtual Password

    No full text
Most common applications use plain text password for authentication. The plain text password can be transferred via a secure channel to protect the secured information by using complex network techniques, even though the security of an application approach is still vulnerable to attacks like phishing, key-logger and shoulder-surfing, before sending the request to the server. We can handle these attacks up to some extend by using few bio-metric authentication schemes but usability rate is very as compared with the plain text password authentication because of requirement of external hardware, extra cost and maintenance difficulty over longer time. We propose a virtual password concept involving a small amount of human computation to secure the user credentials. In this paper we propose a “Enhanced on-line authentication by using Virtual password”, algorithm that handles the phishing, key-logger and shoulder-surfing attacks very effectively. The algorithm uses dynamic password which is changed every time of user login. The user produces a dynamic password based on a static password stored in his/her memory. Similar calculations are performed on server’s side. Hence authenticate user is identified and the same time static password is not exposed to the online threats
