Batik is an Indonesian cultural heritage that has been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2009. One of the regions that contributes to the preservation of batik culture is the city of Madiun, with Batik Murni Madiun as the place of production of batik motifs unique to the city of Madiun. However, the low brand awareness among the public regarding the Batik Murni Madiun brand poses a major challenge due to the inconsistent visual identity design and ineffective promotional strategies. This design aims to create a rebranding concept that includes visual identity design and supporting branding media capable of representing the image of Batik Murni Madiun, as well as designing an effective brand activation concept. This design uses qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. Primary data in this design comes from interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Secondary data comes from books, journals, articles, and existing studies. The data analysis techniques used in this design are descriptive analysis, TOWS matrix analysis, consumer insight analysis, and consumer journey analysis. The data analysis process yielded the keyword “Authentic Traditional Batik from Madiun,” which will serve as a reference for developing the design concept. Additionally, the data analysis results indicate the need for a visual identity that reflects the philosophy and image Batik Murni Madiun aims to highlight, namely authentic traditional batik motifs from the city of Madiun, high-quality batik products, and natural colors used in their products. Batik Murni Madiun also requires consistent branding support media and interactive promotional media to reach its target audience across various demographics. Through this rebranding design, it has been proven that Batik Murni Madiun's brand awareness has increased. This is evidenced by the results of a questionnaire that was distributed, with 85.7% of 49 respondents agreeing that Batik Murni Madiun's new visual identity better represents the brand image of Batik Murni Madiun. In addition, the new visual identity is more visually appealing and easier to recognize and remember. All redesigned branding support media also represent a consistent visual identity that aligns with the image of Batik Murni Madiun. Children’s education plays a crucial role as the foundation for shaping a high-quality future generation. One of the essential subjects in the Merdeka Curriculu for 5th grade elementary students is ecosystems, which includes an understanding of the reciprocal relationships between living organisms and their environment. However, delivering this material still faces challenges, especially due to the lack of educational media that can attract attention and suit the characteristics of elementary school students. Content that is presented through static texts and images is often difficult for students to deeply understand This study uses a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, by collecting data through direct observation and in-depth interviews to gain a more detailed understanding of the research subject. Interviews were conducted to gather specific insights related to the topic, while direct observations were used to observe behavior and interactions in a natural context, allowing a clearer comprehension of real dynamics. In addition, literature studies and analyses of comparator books were carried out as references for designing media tailored to student characteristics. All collected data were analyzed to formulate a visual and interactive solution that supports students’ comprehension of ecosystem concepts in a fun and educational way. Based on the analysis, a concept was formulated for the design of an interactive illustrated book titled "Adventure in the Ecosystem World". The book follows a fantasy adventure of a girl named Aluna as she explores the ecosystem world with the help of animal characters. The visuals are created using digital illustrations in a bright and simple cartoon style, in line with children's preferences. The book also features interactive elements such as lift-the-flap and pop-up mechanisms to encourage visual exploration and spark learning interest. The design concept aligns with the principles of active learning in the Merdeka Curriculum, which encourages students to engage independently and reflectively in the learning process. Through the design of this book, it is expected that an educational medium can be created to assist in delivering ecosystem material in a more engaging, enjoyable, and easily understood manner. This book not only serves as a visual learning resource but also helps foster early environmental awareness and responsibility for nature conservation

    No full text
Diabetes has become a growing health issue, even affecting primary school-aged children, with long-term impacts on their quality of life and health. The primary causes include excessive consumption of sugary foods and beverages and a lack of awareness about healthy lifestyle habits. Children aged 7-11 often have limited knowledge about diabetes prevention, making it essential to conduct an educational campaign that is engaging, communicative, and suitable for their cognitive development. The campaign design process involved field observations in schools, interviews with teachers and parents, and a literature review on children's eating habits and physical activity. Data analysis identified gaps in children's understanding of diabetes and health, leading to the development of a fun and interactive campaign concept. The campaign uses simple language, bright visuals, and engaging elements like games and quizzes to facilitate learning in an enjoyable way. The analysis showed that children aged 7-11 are more engaged with visual content and interactive activities. Therefore, the campaign incorporates features such as challenges, quizzes, and appealing visuals to help children understand the importance of maintaining good health. Additionally, it utilizes social media and educational apps that children commonly use, making it accessible and modern. The campaign also educates children on the risks of excessive sugar consumption while promoting healthy eating and physical activity. The campaign aims to improve children's understanding of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and reduce the risk of diabetes. It encourages children to adopt healthy eating habits, increase physical activity, and avoid harmful behaviors such as excessive sugar intake. With its interactive and enjoyable approach, the campaign aims to reduce the prevalence of diabetes among children in Surabaya and Indonesia

Composting is one of the efforts to address market waste; however, the process takes a long time, so bioactivators are needed to accelerate composting. Leachate and local microorganisms (MOL) from bamboo shoots can serve as bioactivators because they contain microorganisms and nutrients that can speed up decomposition. This study aims to determine the effect of adding leachate and local microorganisms (MOL) from bamboo shoots on the composting process of organic waste from traditional markets. The composting process was carried out for 28 days using an aerobic composter with used paint buckets as the medium. The results showed that the variations with the addition of bamboo shoot MOL and the combination of leachate and bamboo shoot MOL reached the required C, N, P, K values and C/N ratio standards more quickly compared to the control (no addition) and the leachate-only variation, which only met the standards in the second week. The C/N ratio values for each variation were: control (19.91), leachate (18.15), bamboo shoot MOL (15.41), and the mixture (17.73), all of which met the standards according to SNI 19-7030-2004. Physical changes in the compost also occurred more rapidly with the addition of bamboo shoot MOL (day 15) and the mixture (day 18), compared to leachate addition (day 21) and the control (day 24). Based on these results, the addition of bamboo shoot MOL proved to be the most effective in accelerating the composting process and improving the final compost quality compared to other variations. Keywords: market waste, bamboo shoot MOL, leachate, compostin
