    DEMOTIVATION IN LEARNING ENGLISH FACED BY STUDENTS AT SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 12 PACIRAN LAMONGAN

    The purpose of this study is to investigate student demotivation in English learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paciran and the strategies employed by students and teachers to address it. This study applied a qualitative approach. Using purposive sampling, data were gathered through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with seven students and two English teachers. The research identified five key demotivating factors: lack of interest, low self-confidence, difficult learning materials, unsupportive learning environments, and unengaging teaching methods. Meanwhile, students employed four coping strategies: self-study, seeking assistance, creating supportive learning environments, and setting goals. Furthermore, teachers addressed demotivation through problem identification, individual support, diverse teaching methods, encouraged active participation, and fostering a love for English.     Background: Diabetic foot ulcers are a type of complications that results in tissue death and can reduce the level of body image and quality of life of person. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between body image and quality of life of diabetic foot ulcer patients in Malang Regency. Assessment of body image in diabetic foot ulcer patients is very important as a basis for identification to improve quality of life by providing comprehensive nursing care. Method: The research design used was a Cross-Sectional Study using the Spearman-Rank Correlation approach which examined the relationship between body image and the quality of life of diabetic foot ulcer patients in Malang Regency. Researchers used Body Investment Scale (BIS) and Short Form-36 (SF-36) instruments to assess body image and quality of life of a person conducted on August 20 – September 24, 2024. The sample in this study were 70 respondents with inclusion criteria of diabetes mellitus patients with diabetic foot ulcer complications and aged over 20 years. Result: This researched shows that there is a significant relationship between body image and quality of life in diabetic foot ulcer patients in Malang Regency with a significance value of p = 0.001 (p < α = 0.05). The strength of the relationship between the variables in this studied shows a weak strength with a correlation coefficient value of 0.395. Conclusion: The weakly correlated relationship shows that body image moderately affect the quality of life of diabetic foot ulcer patients. The level of closeness is positive, which indicates that the more positive the body image, the higher the patient’s quality of life

    Language is an important communication tool between humans. Arabic is a language. Importantly, one language that is widely used with the spread of Islam in the province of Bangkok in Thailand is an area. Some of its residents are Muslims who adhere to the principles of the Qur'an written in Arabic, making students pay great attention to learning Arabic. The purpose of this study was to study the motivation and needs of students at Suanrath Vittaya School in Bangkok province in Arabic language subjects further about Arabic. Researchers used questionnaires and interviews with junior high school teachers and students. This study uses a qualitative approach. The results of the study found that most students have high motivation and desire to continue Arabic language subjects. The learning motivation that is most in demand by students in learning Arabic is religious motivation, meaning that Arabic is the key to learning religion. To understand the Qur'an and spread religious, cultural and academic motivation in learning Arabic. There are also other factors that make the motivation of Suanrath Vittaya School Junior High School students so that they are interested and fond of learning Arabic

    In Indonesian law, it is known the principle of actus non facit reum nisi mens sit rea, which means "an act does not result in a person's guilt unless the person's mind is evil". Therefore, before the judge makes a decision, the panel of judges is obliged to consider a person's actions from all sides. This is the background for the author to analyze the role of defendant ii against article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in case no. 6/pid.sus-tpk/2024/pn.sby for corruption crimes in the Surabaya Corruption District Court. The method used in this study is the writing of empirical juridical law with a socio-legal approach method which is legal writing regarding the enforcement or implementation of normative legal provisions in action on every specific legal event that occurs in society to obtain writing data. Based on the results of the research, which was obtained at the time of the evidentiary agenda in case no. 6/pid.sus-tpk/2024/pn.sby for corruption crimes at the Surabaya Corruption District Court. The role of defendant II is only proven to have committed a mistake with 1 (one) type of criminal act, in contrast to the role of defendant I who is proven to have committed active bribery because it is based on the facts revealed at the trial from the evidence submitted by the Public Prosecutor. So that this is not in accordance with the element to be able to apply article 65 of the Criminal Code to Defendant II in a single act with Defendant I Andhika Imam Wijaya. Therefore, with this discrepancy, the judge in making a decision should be wiser and more precise in order to be able to give a verdict in accordance with the principles of justice (gerechtigheit), certainty (rechsecherheit) and usefulness (zwachmatigheit)

    Calves are ruminant animals or newborn animals. Calf starter can be used to help early growth in calves. This study aims to see the growth of daily body weight (PBBH) and final body weight of calves by providing Calf Starter 2 feed. Calf Starter can be given the first time after calves are weaned to train calves to eat solid food when they start to grow. Measuring chest circumference can be used as an indicator of the growth and development of cattle. This study was conducted in Lesanpuro Village, Kedung Kandang District, Malang City. The duration of the study was 17 days from December 20 to January 6, 2022. The method used is an 2 experimental method on 12 calves owned by farmers consisting of 2 types of beef cattle, namely: 9 Limousin (LS) and 3 Simmental (SM). With the feed given in the form of Calf Starter obtained from the Muhammadiyah University of Malang. Calf Starter feeding using a dose of 200 g-1200 g/day. The results of feed consumption in 10 days of research on Limousin and Simmental cattle showed an average feed consumption of 200 grams to 1200 grams, with an average reaching 9800 grams. The results of the study showed an increase in calf chest circumference of 0-6 cm and the final average chest circumference of LS was 1.2 cm and SM was 2.6 cm. Calf Starter 2 feed needs to be given to calves because it can provide positive results for calves. Farmers must pay attention to calf feeding so that they can adapt to new types of feed

    DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES-BASED STATISTICS E-BOOKLET TO IMPROVE THE LEVEL OF STUDENTS' STATISTICAL LITERACY SKILLS

    This research aims to develop a valid and effective multiple intelligences-based statistical e-booklet (MI e-booklet) to improve students' statistical literacy skills. This research was conducted using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a Borg and Gall development model with eight steps: (1) research, (2) planning, (3) developing product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main revision product, (6) main field testing, (7) final revision, and (8) Implementation. The research method is a Pre-experimental one, group pretest-posttest design, and the subject of this study consists of 4 validators (media and materials) for the validity of the MI e-booklet, small group students (10 students) and large group students (30 students) to see the effectiveness of the MI e-booklet. The type of research data is questionnaires, assessment scales, interviews, and tests with data analysis using data triangulation, scoring, and prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity of data, paired sample t-tests, and N-gain tests. The results of the validation of the MI e-booklet developed to have a very high level of validity based on the assessment of material and media expert validators. Field trials also showed that the MI e-booklet was effective in improving the level of students' statistical literacy skills because it had good readability in small-group subjects, and statistical testing of the test in large groups found that the p-value < Sig.(2-tailed), which means H1 was accepted with an N-gain value of 0.52 in the moderate effectiveness category. Thus, the e-booklet of statistics based on multiple intelligences is declared valid and effective for use as a learning medium and contributes positively to improving students' statistical literacy skills

    PERBANDINGAN TEKNIK PENINGKATAN KONTRAS CITRA PADA KLASIFIKASI KESEHATAN MATA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL VGG19

    Peningkatan kualitas citra melalui teknik preprocessing merupakan langkah penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja model Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) dalam klasifikasi citra medis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan teknik preprocessing Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) dan Gamma Correction terhadap kinerja model CNN VGG19, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas kedua teknik tersebut dalam meningkatkan akurasi klasifikasi citra penyakit mata, seperti katarak, retinopati diabetik, dan glaukoma. Metode penelitian meliputi penerapan teknik CLAHE dan Gamma Correction pada dataset citra medis, diikuti dengan pelatihan dan evaluasi model CNN VGG19 menggunakan metrik akurasi, precision, recall, dan f1-score. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CLAHE menghasilkan akurasi sebesar 71% dengan nilai rata-rata precision, recall, dan f1-score masing-masing sebesar 0,71; 0,76; dan 0,71. Sebaliknya, Gamma Correction menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik dengan akurasi mencapai 84%, serta nilai rata-rata precision, recall, dan f1-score sebesar 0,85; 0,86; dan 0,85. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa teknik Gamma Correction lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas citra dan kinerja model CNN VGG19 dibandingkan dengan CLAHE. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan sistem berbasis kecerdasan buatan untuk klasifikasi citra medis, khususnya pada diagnosis penyakit mata

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation work design through digitalization of sales administration at CV Tunas Abadi. The research method used is qualitative with analysis using methods that include context, input, process, and product. This study shows that website based sales administration digitalization can improve work design at CV Tunas Abadi which has an impact on increasing efficiency and accessibility in more modern and sustainable document management in the long term

    EFEKTIVITAS PENERAPAN E-PLANNING DALAM PERENCANAAN PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH (STUDI PADA BAPPEDA KABUPATEN MALANG)

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the E-Planning system (SIPD) used by the Regional Development Planning Agency of Malang Regency in order to support the Regional Development planning process electronically. The focus of this study is to assess the extent to which the e-planning system can support an integrated, transparent, and participatory regional development planning process. In addition, this study also aims to identify the obstacles and challenges faced by the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Malang Regency in implementing the e-planning system, as well as providing recommendations to improve its performance in the future. This study uses a qualitative research method to gain a deeper understanding of the subject and uses several data collection methods, through relevant interview and direct observation methods, direct interviews with Key Informants from Bappeda to obtain in-depth information about the use of the E-Planning system in Bappeda Malang Regency. The formulation of the problem shows that the e-planning system helps local governments in the regional development planning process as well as several problems in the use of the E-Planning system. This study increases knowledge about the use of the e-planning system in Bappeda Malang Regency. This study concludes that the E-planning system implemented in Bappeda Malang Regency has had a positive impact on the management of regional development planning data, with an integrated system, Bappeda can collect, analyze, visualize data more quickly and accurately. In addition, the e-planning system also facilitates community and stakeholder participation in compiling priority programs, resulting in more inclusive planning. The e-planning system running in Bappeda Malang Regency has also experienced good development and progress from the law to its implementation so that in practice it can run effectively in Bappeda Malang Regency. The obstacles to implementing this e-planning system include an unstable system, lack of socialization from the center, and the use of a scheduled system that causes the planning process to slow down/slow system, and the system still often experiences problems

    THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION FOR TEACHING WRITING SKILLS FOR VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PRAMBON NGANJUK

    Learning writing is an essential skill that plays a significant role in both academic and professional settings. It is interesting to note that non-native writers face a significant challenge, and the recognition of this challenge was slow to come even among teachers of English as a Second Language (ESL). As a result, writing skills were not considered a priority for ESL students. The problems also happened to most of the students in all departments at Vocational High School of Nganjuk, East Java, particularly at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambon where they struggled to comprehend writing skills. Therefore, the teacher should apply a certain approach to gain the students' understanding of writing skills, one of the approaches that can be used is differentiated instruction (DI). This study presents a detailed examination of the implementation of DI in teaching writing skills and explores students' perceptions of its effectiveness at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambon, Nganjuk. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach with a basic interpretative study method, the research involved both teachers and Multimedia/Visual Communication Design (DKV) students as participants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and rigorous document analysis. The findings reveal that the implementation of DI effectively customizes content, processes, and products to cater to the diverse needs, learning styles, and proficiency levels of students. Strategies such as flexible grouping, scaffolding, and the integration of technology proved to be effective in enhancing student engagement. Students responded positively to DI, reporting feelings of increased support, motivation, and improved collaboration skills. Moreover, this approach enabled students to develop writing skills relevant to industry standards, cultivate critical thinking, and prepare for future professional challenges. In conclusion, this study emphasizes that DI is an inclusive and adaptive teaching approach capable of meeting the varied needs of vocational school students. By aligning teaching strategies with industry requirements, DI helps prepare students to become both competent and innovative professionals in their workplace
