HUBUNGAN ANTARA STRES AKADEMIK DAN NON SUICIDAL SELF INJURY (NSSI) PADA REMAJA
Abstract. Academic stress is a condition that occurs when a person faces high academic demands and students are unable to solve them. Students' inability to cope with their problems can cause negative emotions. One form of inability to cope with negative emotions is self-harm without intending to commit suicide or Non Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI). Non Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) is direct and intentional damage to body tissue, but intends to commit suicide. This study used 106 subjects with the criteria of subjects aged 12-18 years, currently attending junior and senior high school, and had committed Non Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI). The instrument used to measure academic stress variables is Bedewey and Gabriel's Perceptions of Academic Stress Scales (PASS) scale, while to measure NSSI variables using Sansone's Self-Harm Inventory (SHI) scale which has been adapted by Kusumadewi. The hypothesis test of this study used a correlation test using the help of SPSS 25 for windows with a p value = 0.009 <0.05, which means there is a relationship between academic stress and NSSI. Based on this study, it was found that academic stress has a significant positive relationship with Non Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI), meaning that the higher the academic stress, the higher the Non Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI)
HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERUNDUNGAN DAN NONSUICIDAL SELF INJURY PADA REMAJA
Students who experience bullying are indicated to have a tendency to engage in Nonsuicidal Self-Injury (NSSI), as shown by increased negative emotions and an inability to manage stress. This study aims to examine the relationship between bullying and NSSI behavior in adolescents. The research design utilizes a quantitative approach with a correlational technique. The study subjects consist of 141 students aged 12 to 18 years. The instrument used to measure the Bullying variable is the Bullying and Cyberbullying Scale for Adolescents (BCS-A) developed by Thomas and later adapted into Indonesian by Sansthoso. Meanwhile, the NSSI variable is measured using the Self-Harm Inventory (SHI) by Sansone, which has been adapted into Indonesian by Kusumadewi. The results of the data analysis using the Spearman correlation test indicate a significant relationship between bullying and NSSI (r = 0.713; p < 0.001), meaning that the higher the level of bullying experienced by students, the greater their tendency to engage in NSSI
