Utilization of Technology in Financial Management has Positive Impact on the Results of Sales of MSMEs in South Bangka
The objective of this study is to assess the utilization of technology among micro, small, and medium
enterprises (MSMEs) located in South Bangka. Technological advancements have positively influenced
the financial management of MSMEs in Indonesia, making it easier and more efficient. Several benefits
arise from the integration of technology into MSME financial management. The qualitative method is
employed to conduct this study. The data collected and analyzed in this research are derived from a
sample of 30 MSME participants in South Bangka. The findings reveal that a majority of MSMEs have
incorporated technology in their operations, primarily for sales transactions, while other aspects such
as human resources, accounts payable, inventories, production costs, and miscellaneous expenses
continue to be managed manually. Among the financial technologies widely adopted by MSMEs in
South Bangka, QRIS stands out as the prevailing option. QRIS is easily accessible to the local
population of South Bangka, especially those who possess bank accounts. Its introduction has
significantly contributed to enhanced sales for MSMEs in South Bangka, reflecting the shifting trend
from cash to digital payments within the local community. That technology plays a crucial role in the
financial management of MSMEs in Indonesia. Incorporating technology can significantly enhance the
efficiency, transparency, and profitability of MSME enterprises. Consequently, it is imperative for
MSME entrepreneurs in Indonesia to leverage technology in order to bolster their financial management
processes. The study authors compiled a list of 20 indicators to test their hypotheses. Several pilot
studies were conducted with MSME participants to refine the selection of variables. The survey utilized
a Likert scale ranging from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree," with each point indicating a different
level of agreement. Therefore, it can be concluded that the variables, Technology Utilization and
Financial Management, have a joint impact on Sales Results
The Dilemma of Unsystematic Remedial Education Data Management
The three educational officers of Unit Pemulihan Khas in Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Cameron
Highlands (PPDCH) realized their unsystematic remedial data management. At the time when this case
is written (September 2020) the process of gathering remedial data is still done using the MS Excel
template, which may subject to some errors. In addition, the procedure makes the officers difficult to
manage the data, especially to produce customized reports. Hence, they believe that there is an urgent
need to develop a computerized system that can handle all the processes of remedial data management,
starting from data collection until report preparation. Therefore, this case study has investigated the
issue in detail and proposed an online Remedial Data Management System. In January 2021, a prototype
of the has been developed. However, this prototype was subjected to several drawbacks, especially in
terms of system design. Therefore, this case is suitable to be used in the subject of System Analysis and
Design
Recursive Prediction Model: A Preliminary Application to Lassa Fever Outbreak in Nigeria
Lassa fever (LF) is endemic in West Africa and Nigeria in particular. Since 1969 when the disease was discovered, a seasonal outbreak is often reported in Nigeria. Many researchers have reported inconsistent or varying numbers of suspected, confirmed and death cases since 2012 to date. To enhance this reportage, and due to the high mortality rate associated with LF, it is pertinent to design a suitable and robust model that could predict or estimate the number of LF cases based on the onset data. To achieve these, we proposed a recursive prediction (RP) model that could do predictions with the onset data. The Pearson correlation coefficient (R), and R2 are applied to determine the performance analysis of the model. The RP model predicted 96.7% confirmed cases and 89.6% death cases for the first three months of 2022 based on the onset data. The model was also applied to predict COVID-19 death cases during the six weeks of the outbreak in India. The result showed a comparable prediction with the regression output for the COVID-19 death cases. This study demonstrated that the proposed model could be applied to perform prediction for any disease of unknown etiology during the onset of the disease outbreak without any treatment similar to the COVID-19 outbreak. The performance analysis of the RP showed that the model is useful to predict the increasing trend of an outbreak of a disease with unknown etiology without prior treatment experience and vaccine

The Rasuah Busters Campaign is a society-led initiative to combat corruption. The campaign is
primarily headed by a team of private media experts from Karangkraf and their sub-divisions such as
Sinar Harian to play a pivotal media role in raising public awareness on issues of corruption in the
country. Part of their effort in raising and reporting on issues of corruption includes the enhancement
to the protection of whistleblowers in Malaysia. This paper seeks to analyse the relevant laws governing
whistleblowers and investigative journalism in preventing and combating corruption in particular the
Whistleblower Protection Act (2010). It also investigates the challenges faced by whistleblowers in
speaking out on corruption cases and other misconduct from the perspective of Karangkraf, particularly
the Rasuah Busters team and Sinar Harian. This socio-legal study combines doctrinal legal and
qualitative methodology in analysing the legal text and contexts based on primary and secondary data.
The study utilizes in-depth interviews with, among others the Rasuah Busters team. Findings indicate
there is a need to revise the current legislation with regard to the conception and protection of
whistleblowers. Additionally, a cultural revamp is needed among the public on corruption cases.
Finally, effective news media reporting is only feasible through independent and free media on which
the public can rely upon
