Metanalysis of the development of artificial intelligence and the internet of things: the transformation of work and life
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are changing the way we live and work by enabling seamless technology integration in our daily lives. This study explores the literature on the integration of AI and IoT to create intelligent systems that can autonomously make decisions and perform tasks based on real-time data from connected devices. This paper presents a meta-analysis of the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in decision-making processes, as well as in Industry 4.0 and 5.0. The study analyzed relevant records from the Web of Science database, evaluating research output, authorship, collaboration, institutional and geographical distribution, and impact. The results indicate that China has the highest number of total publications and total citations, followed by the USA and India. The study offers valuable insights into the scientific and technological advancements of various regions, their level of international collaboration, and their impact on the field of AI-IoT. The trend of publications indicates that Computer Science, Engineering, and Telecommunications are prominent and steadily growing fields. However, there has been a recent emergence and increase in Chemistry, Instruments & Instrumentation, and Material Science, which are contributing to the development of AI-IoT

Biodegradation of ibuprofen and metformin by bacteria isolated from Chihuahua, Mexico
Metformin is one of the medications used to treat non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, and ibuprofen is one of the most used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs worldwide. The use of these pharmaceuticals has currently generated contamination of rivers and soil since they are highly stable compounds. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the biodegradation of ibuprofen and metformin by bacteria of the genus Bacillus, Paenibacillus, and Pseudomonas isolated from sediments of bodies of water in the state of Chihuahua. Regarding the removal of ibuprofen, the Bacillus strain showed the highest removal values of 52.53% at 480 h, while Pseudomonas and Paenibacillus reached 42.93% and 44.8%, respectively. On the other hand, 99.99% of the removal of metformin was observed by the Pseudomonas strain at 480 h; Bacillus and Paenibacillus strains showed a removal of 97.79% and 92.36%, respectively. Thus, it is concluded that the use of the bacterial strains isolated in this study is a promising alternative for the treatment of pharmaceutical products that currently have environmental risks
Spillover effects of remittances on local public spending in developing economies
We develop a political economy model to study spatial
spillover effects of remittances on local public goods with
inter-regional positive externalities. Our model postulates
that spillovers of remittances are asymmetric with a com
plex pattern that depends on the degree of externalities of
public spending, the inter-regional inequality of income, and
whether local public goods are complementary or substi
tutes. We develop several tests to be verified empirically,
for instance, our model states that if local public goods are
substitutes and externalities are moderate, remittances re
ceived by households in one locality increase government
spending in that locality but reduce spending in other dis
tricts. If externalities are significant, remittances affect local
public spending in high-income localities but do not affect
spending in low-income localitie
Riesgos psicosociales, la salud mental y física de agentes de policía. Estado del conocimiento actual
La psicología de la salud propone analizar los procesos psicológicos y su relación con enfermedades físicas. Por eso, el presente manuscrito tiene como objetivo describir el estado del arte de los riesgos psicosociales a los que se ven expuestos los agentes de policía en Ciudad Juárez debido a la naturaleza del trabajo que realizan y el impacto que tienen en su estado de salud mental y física. En tal sentido, la revisión de antecedentes permite identificar que experimentan emocionalidad negativa y enfermedades mentales en las que se incluye la ideación suicida y el suicidio. Asimismo, se puede indicar que los sistemas familiares tienen alta probabilidad de desintegrarse después de haber vivido tristeza, conflictos, falta de participación del padre o madre agente de policía, y en ocasiones niveles de violencia familiar y con abuso de sustancias psicoactivas. Además, la salud física se ve deteriorada con la aparición de problemas metabólicos, de los sistemas nervioso y musculoesquelético, y con énfasis del sistema digestivo. Los hallazgos permitirán coadyuvar en el incremento del nivel de salud mental de la localidad a través de la elaboración de planes y programas psicológicos enfocados en la prevención y atención de los problemas de salud mental y física que presenta la población policial de la localidad

Lo aquí presentado se deriva de un proyecto más amplio, encaminado a proponer elementos fundamentales para cimentar una cultura de integridad académica en las universidades. Se trata de una primera aproximación, por parte de los autores, a un tema sin duda complejo, que requiere ser analizado con una visión integral y que plantea problemáticas que necesariamente deben atenderse con la participación de los diferentes integrantes de las comunidades académicas; es decir, debe revisarse bajo un paradigma sistémico. Este tema es poco explorado en el contexto de los países de habla hispana y se relaciona con la organización y el aprovechamiento de algunos escritos académicos realizados por los estudiantes universitarios
de pregrado, como medida para reducir casos de deshonestidad académica
Floral morpho-anatomy and reproductive biology of Mammillaria lasiacantha Engelm. (Cactaceae) at Sierra of Juárez, Chihuahua
Abstract. Mammillaria lasiacantha is a small cactus that inhabits at Sierra of Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Their populations have been affected by habitat destruction, illegal extraction, and uncontrolled tourism in the region that steps on the seedlings; therefore, knowing its reproductive biology is necessary for its conservation. Our main questions were: What is the floral morphology and anatomy like? What type of sexual and mating system do M. lasiacantha present? Do the seeds produced by the crosses germinate, how and in what percentage? Sixty individuals from a population of 120 plants were studied at Sierra of Juárez, Juárez Chihuahua from January to August 2021. The study of the floral morpho-anatomy was carried out. Four treatments were applied: natural selfing, forced selfing, geitonogamy and forced outcrossing plus a control. Pollinated flowers, fruits, number of seeds and germination percentage were recorded. Flowers have naked pericarp, funnel-type nectary, nectarostomata, closed style and collateral vascular bundles. The anatomical characteristics of M. lasiacantha agree with those reported for other species of Mammillaria. The flowers of M. lasiacantha present herkogamy, with an obligate outcrossing system. The seeds produced from the outcrossing and control group germinated in 32 and 76%, respectively. The herkogamy and strict outcrossing system of M. lasiacantha should be confirmed in other populations. The seeds are positive photoblastic, without dormancy, but the study of the seed bank and seedling survival in the field would be pertinent. The ex-situ conservation of M. lasiacantha in the site will be feasible, since species high percentage of germination may contribute to produce plants for restoration programs
Ganoderma tuberculosum Liquid Culture With Vineyard Pruning Extracts for Bioactive Composite Production With Antiproliferative Activity
Ganoderma species have been studied for their pharmacological approaches, such as anticancer, antitumor, antiproliferative, and
antioxidant activity. Elicitors are used to increase Ganoderma bioactive composite production. /is study aims to evaluate the
antiproliferative activity of ethanolic extracts from mycelium of Ganoderma tuberculosum (G. tuberculosum) grown in a liquid
medium with vineyard pruning waste (VPW) extracts as elicitors. Ethanolic and aqueous VPW extracts contain resveratrol dimer
4, resveratrol tetramer 1, and naringenin, while toluene and chloroform extracts contain tetradecanoic acid, hexadecanoic acid,
and octadecanoic acid. Polar and nonpolar extracts could be promising elicitors for increasing bioactive molecules. Catechin
gallate showed the highest correlation (r � 0.66) with biomass. Mycelial ethanolic extracts of G. tuberculosum (native strain from
the Sonoran Desert) and Ganoderma lucidum (G. lucidum) (control) were analyzed by ESI-IT-MS, and 27 molecules were
identi=ed for the two species. /ey showed antiproliferative activity against the A549 and C-33 A cell lines but not for ARPE-19.
G. tuberculosum culture with VPW had quinic acid, ganodermenonol, ganoderic acid I (GA-I), C2 (GA-C2), and 20-
hydroxylucidenic acid P, among others. Molecular docking of ganodermenonol, GA-I, and GA-C2 demonstrates signi=cant
interaction with tumor necrotic factor (TNF-?). /ese ethanolic extracts of Ganoderma are promising sources of bioactive
triterpenoids. /eir antiproliferative activity did not change between species or treatment. Likewise, the G. tuberculosum and
