However, the differences in applied competitive models – in specialization, internal integration, product quality, etc. – lead to different levels of market success and profitability. Some firms are more profitable than others, even though they operate under the same conditions, because of their strategic position and managerial competencies. The strategic groups in which companies are divided within a business environment may differ in terms of production models, sales channels and other factors. The barrier to mobility, the security of market positions and the ability to adapt to changes are key to profitability. Successful positioning of the company in a given strategic group or its transition to a more favorable group requires good planning and risk management

Full text linkModern design is associated with numerous branches and transformations that build its integrity. An important aspect in the development of a given product or item is its function, ergonomic characteristics, shape, material or color, as well as the achievement of an emotional charge and impact on the user. This aspect is known as "Emotional Design". The concept of emotional design is a modern trend that is actively entering the work of interior, product and furniture designers. The article examines and analyzes the phenomenon of "Emotional Design".
Съвременния дизайн се асоциира с множество разклонения и трансформации които изграждат неговата цялост. Важен аспект в изработването на даден продукт или изделие е както неговата функция, ергономични характеристики, форма, материал или цвят, така и постигането на емоционален заряд и въздействие върху потребителя. Този аспект е известен като „Емоционален дизайн“. Концепцията за емоционалния дизайн е съвременна тенденция, която навлиза активно в работата на интериорни, продуктови и мебелни дизайнери. The Use of Life-Threatening Force by the Police in the Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Bulgarian Experience
Full text linkThe standards deriving from the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms regarding the right to life in the context of the use of life-threatening force by the police are analysed. During the last three dec-ades the European Court of Human Rights has formulated and further developed a significant number of requirements both for the general compliance of Member States' domestic legislation with the Convention, and for the conduct of State authorities in terms of planning and realisation of police operations, and investigating into cases of death caused by the police. The current study examines these requirements in detail, and establishes that, in addition to the ones referring to the legislative framework, there are also such of a forensic, institutional and organizational nature. Particular emphasis is placed on the criteria that the investigation must fulfil in order to be effective. The essence and content of the circumstances provided for in Art. 2, para. 2 of the Conven-tion, under which the use of lethal force is absolutely necessary and, therefore, permis-sible, are discussed. Relevant aspects of the Bulgarian legislative and institutional ex-perience in the process of achieving compliance with the outlined requirements have been reviewed

Full text linkThe report examines the types of teams in management, identifying the essential characteristics of organizational models applied in management practice - work group - team - self-managing work team and virtual team. The key organizational prerequisites and elements related to managing virtual teams are analyzed. The focus is placed on the evolutionary development of this organizational technology in the conditions of the information society and the knowledge economy. The advantages and disadvantages of virtual team structures are explored in detail through the prism of distance (physical and psychological) and the information and communication technologies used, identifying specific tools and specific innovative practices in managing virtual teams in an environment with a high degree of uncertainty. Efforts are focused on creating an adequate organizational environment that generates conditions for effective learning and is part of an integrated approach to achieving competitive advantage through human capital in the organization. The focus is on the development of competencies (knowledge and skills) in the field of social relations and communication, confidence building, new behavior and adapted managerial leadership to coordinate technologies and processes in a multicultural business environment

Digital communication and information asymmetry in a virtual team context
Full text linkThe research examines e-communications and the specific requirements related to the selection of effective media platforms adapted to the digital context. They have a direct impact on social and interpersonal relationships in a virtual team environment and an indirect impact (through work and technological processes) on the effectiveness of the virtual team structure. The focus is placed on the main challenges in a virtual context, related to the integration of synchronous and asynchronous communications in a single information structure (platform), which is adapted to the "symbiosis" of cultural diversity in the team. The virtual team's ability to develop and maintain a network of reciprocal social and personal relationships, norms, and trust that facilitate coordination and cooperation is analysed. The role of e-leaders is fundamental in the process of overcoming information asymmetry in a virtual context, as they use web-based technologies and systems as a lever to achieve an adequate level of communication that creates or maintains the necessary social dimensions. Communications tailored to team goals cannot occur without a certain level of trust in virtual teams.

Full text linkThis report aims to present ideas for improving the system of the bodies of the executive power of the Republic of Bulgaria and the policies of the Bulgarian governments for their implementation in the period from 1991 to 2023. Following the analysis of scholarly research, strategic documents
and regulations, the problems in the construction and functioning of this administrative management system are identified. It is suggested that the political ideas for reforms in the system of the executive authorities, which were carried out in the pre-referendum period for full membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in the European Union, are also applicable in today’s conditions. The improvement of this system of administrative bodies requires new policies, strategies, and legislative changes enjoying a high degree of public approval
