THE CONTRIBUTION OF FOOD CONSUMPTION VALUE IN SHAPING FOOD DESTINATION IMAGE AND BEHAVIORAL INTENTION: THE PERSPECTIVE OF FOREIGN TOURISTS IN BALI
Full text linkEating local dishes at a tourist’s destination is crucial. This study explores the key
drivers of foreign tourists’ behavioral intention toward local Indonesian food. A model examining food consumption value, food destination image, and behavioral intention was investigated using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This descriptive study involved quantitative data using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire as the data collection method. The sampling method was judgmental, where the respondents were 201 foreign tourists visiting Bali and sampled local cuisine. The author distributed questionnaires to foreign tourists through online and onsite visits to tourism places and restaurants in Bali. The findings reveal that the impact of food consumption value on behavioral
intentions is partially mediated by food destination image. This means that while food consumption value positively and significantly affects behavioral intentions, it also significantly influences behavioral intention through tourists’ perceptions of the destination. Food consumption value has a significant influence on food destination image and food destination image has a significant influence on the behavioral intention of foreign tourists. The findings imply that food business owners and food destination marketers need to strategically develop and design effective promotions to promote local food and build a good image of a food destination to attract more foreign tourists
Perancangan Robot Serial Manipulator 6DoF dengan Sistem Transmisi Kabel pada 3 Joint Terakhir
Full text linkPerkembangan teknologi robotika, khususnya robot serial manipulator 6-axis, telah memberikan dampak signifikan dalam industri manufaktur dan otomasi. Penelitian ini mengusulkan penggunaan sistem transmisi kabel pada tiga sumbu terakhir robot serial manipulator 6-axis untuk mengurangi berat dan meningkatkan efisiensi pergerakan. Sistem transmisi kabel memiliki keunggulan dibandingkan dengan sistem rigid-link konvensional, termasuk bobot yang lebih ringan, konsumsi daya yang lebih rendah, dan fleksibilitas yang lebih tinggi. Namun,
tantangan utama terletak pada kontrol ketegangan kabel dan presisi pergerakan. Penelitian ini melibatkan perancangan dan pembuatan prototipe robot menggunakan perangkat lunak 3D desain dan 3D printing, diikuti dengan pemrograman dan kalibrasi robot menggunakan perangkat lunak ACRS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan transmisi kabel pada robot 6-axis
dapat meningkatkan fleksibilitas desain dan mengurangi beban pada joint robot. Meskipun demikian, penggunaan kabel juga menimbulkan tantangan dalam hal kontrol presisi, serta keterbatasan material filamen PLA+ yang digunakan dalam pembuatan komponen robot. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan robot manipulator yang lebih efisien dan fleksibel untuk aplikasi industri

Full text linksustainability practices in the tourism industry offer significant benefits to destinations,particularly when supported by digital technology and government involvement. thisstudy investigates how sustainable tourism experiences influence the memorableexperiences of foreign tourists, with digital technology and government support asmoderating variables. data from 270 foreign tourists across four cities in indonesia wereanalyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (pls-sem). the resultsindicate that socio-cultural factors are the most significant influencers of tourists’memorable experiences, with environmental factors also playing a key role. in contrast,economic factors do not significantly affect the memorability of tourists. in addition,there is evidence that Government support strengthens the impact of socio-culturalaspects on memorable experiences, particularly through initiatives that foster culturalengagement while ensuring travelers feel safe. digital technology, however, plays a dualrole: it either strengthens or weakens the influence of sustainability practices on tourists’memorable experiences, depending on how it is integrated into the experiences. thesefindings emphasize the critical role of sociocultural elements in shaping touristmemories and highlight how digital technology and government support either amplifyor mitigate the effects of sustainable practices, offering valuable insights for tourismstakeholders to enhance the value of the experience

Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance in the Indonesian Consumer Goods Industry Through Market Share and Idiosyncratic Risk
Full text linkThis paper explains the correlation between corporate social responsibility (CSR), market share, idiosyncratic risk, and corporate financial performance (CFP). The role of market share (MS) and idiosyncratic risk (IR), which cause an indirect effect, are also examined. Fifty-seven Indonesian-listed consumer goods companies were studied using partial least squares analysis. The findings suggest that CSR could act as a mitigating risk tool and improve the market�s competitiveness. Investing in CSR eventually leads to a long-term increase in financial performance. This paper makes a valuable contribution, offering new and fresh insights into the long debates regarding the CSR-CFP relationship, which has been previously found to be inconsistent from prior studies, through the role of MS and IR as mediating variables that link CSR and CFP. Full text linkEsai ini membahas bagaimana kemunculan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) tidak hanya mengubah praktik desain visual, tetapi juga memengaruhi cara kita memahami dan merepresentasikan manusia. Penulis mengangkat keresahannya sebagai dosen Desain Komunikasi Visual atas dominasi citra �sempurna� yang dihasilkan AI�sering kali putih, langsing, berwajah simetris, dan barat-sentris�yang ternyata mereproduksi bias sejarah, budaya populer, dan kapitalisme visual. Melalui pembelajaran di mata kuliah Visual Studies, ia mengajak mahasiswa untuk tidak hanya melihat gambar sebagai objek estetis, tetapi sebagai medan ideologi dan kekuasaan. Eksperimen dengan prompt AI seperti �perempuan cantik� atau �pria tampan� membongkar konstruksi gender, ras, dan norma sosial yang selama ini tersembunyi dalam narasi visual dominan. Diskusi kelas berkembang menjadi refleksi pribadi: dari pemakaian filter hingga perubahan penampilan demi memenuhi standar kecantikan. Tulisan ini menyoroti bagaimana AI bukan sekadar alat teknis, melainkan medan pertarungan nilai dan representasi. Mengutip tokoh-tokoh seperti Foucault, Stuart Hall, Simone de Beauvoir, dan Donna Haraway, penulis menunjukkan bahwa representasi visual AI adalah bentuk kekuasaan baru�kolonialisme visual�yang mengecualikan identitas non-dominan. Namun, AI juga bisa menjadi alat perlawanan, jika digunakan secara sadar dan etis. Dengan pendekatan reflektif dan pedagogis, penulis menekankan pentingnya pendidikan desain sebagai ruang kritis untuk membentuk representasi yang lebih adil dan manusiawi. Mahasiswa diajak untuk melakukan prompt engineering bukan demi keindahan semata, tetapi sebagai tindakan empatik dan politis. Mendesain ulang �manusia� bukanlah soal tubuh biologis, tetapi tentang membentuk dunia visual yang lebih inklusif dan penuh makna sosial
Performance Evaluation of Simple Regular Buildings using FBD and DDBD Methods with a Consistent Target Drift
No full textThe Direct Displacement Based Design (DDBD) method, proposed by
Priestley, is an alternative to the traditional Force-Based Design (FBD)
method for earthquake-resistant design. This study compares the
performance of 4-story and 12-story buildings designed using both FBD
and DDBD with the same target drift of 2%. The differences in base
shear used for the design of the two approaches are discussed. To
evaluate the buildings performance, Nonlinear Dynamic Procedure
(NDP) analysis, or nonlinear time history analysis, was conducted considering
500 and 2500 years return period earthquakes. The results indicate that
the actual drift of both designs deviates from the target drift; however,
the observed drifts remain within the maximum limits set by FEMA
356. Moreover, plastic damages were observed in unexpected areas of
the columns, suggesting that the strong-column weak-beam design concept,
as stipulated by building codes, does not entirely prevent damage to
columns

No full textThis paper aims to reflect on the concept of minimalism as a sustainable design strategy, extending beyond the familiar visual aesthetics. This understanding responds to trends in house design in Indonesia, where minimalism is often perceived merely as visual simplification. However, based on studies conducted, the discussion on minimalism in modern architecture lies in the effort to simplify spatial design and elements to achieve potential sustainability efficiency. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, highlighting the design of a simple residential house (RumaRB) with a reduction-based renovation approach. The connection between reduction and minimalism is evident in various aspects of architectural design, including capacity reduction, material use, and design identity. The research question seeks to explore the relationship between minimalist design thinking based on reduction as part of efficiency efforts for sustainability. The findings of this study propose the concept of reduction as a thought process and strategy, encompassing spatial, environmental, and material efficiency through the reduction of form, function, and appearance for sustainability. The ultimate goal of this study is to broaden the understanding of minimalism not merely as an aesthetic strategy, but as a holistic approach linking efficiency and sustainability in architecture
