Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance in the Indonesian Consumer Goods Industry Through Market Share and Idiosyncratic Risk
This paper explains the correlation between corporate social responsibility (CSR), market share, idiosyncratic risk, and corporate financial performance (CFP). The role of market share (MS) and idiosyncratic risk (IR), which cause an indirect effect, are also examined. Fifty-seven Indonesian-listed consumer goods companies were studied using partial least squares analysis. The findings suggest that CSR could act as a mitigating risk tool and improve the markets competitiveness. Investing in CSR eventually leads to a long-term increase in financial performance. This paper makes a valuable contribution, offering new and fresh insights into the long debates regarding the CSR-CFP relationship, which has been previously found to be inconsistent from prior studies, through the role of MS and IR as mediating variables that link CSR and CFP. CSR has been proven to build stakeholders trust and thus increase MS and lower IR
MENDESAIN ULANG MANUSIA
The impact of configuration management decisions on firm resilience: Integrating resource configuration, operational flexibility, and collaborative supply chain strategies
Global competition requires the companys appropriate rules and policies. The company is trying to build strong, firm resilience to maintain sustainability. The research aims to analyze the influence of management configuration decisions on company resilience through the integration of resource configuration, operational flexibility, and collaboration in the supply chain. This study was conducted on 462 manufacturing companies in Indonesia that were experiencing changes in operational systems and global competitive pressures. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The research results show that management configuration decisions influence resource configuration and supply chain collaboration integration but do not directly influence operational flexibility. Resource configuration is proven to increase operational flexibility and supply chain collaboration integration, which in turn strengthens company resilience. Operational flexibility also plays an important role in supporting the integration of supply chain collaboration and company resilience in the face of external disruptions. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the development of a tough and practical supply chain strategy for management in building an organization that is adaptive to disruption
Identification of Structural Elements Towards Disasters: A Case Study of Osing Architecture
Indonesia is an archipelagic country consisting of various tribes and cultures, one of which is the Osing Tribe in Banyuwangi, located at the eastern tip of Java Island, near Bali Island. The culture of the Osing tribe is manifested in the traditional Osing house architecture, especially in Kemiren Village, which is built from a combination of Osings unique technology and art. From its position, the Banyuwangi area is located at the boundary of tectonic plates, which results in the potential for natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, landslides, and tsunamis. This research aims to study the structural design of the traditional Osing tribe house in responding to these disasters threat. The identification of the structural elements is then analyzed to determine how the building will transmit the axial and lateral load, as well as withstand disasters. The result is that the Osing tribe house has applied the local wisdom, manifested in the houses tectonic design. The details of the building could respond and distribute the loads caused by disaster. Responding to the load from the volcanic ash, the Osing houses roof needs reinforcement to sustain its rigidity
Machine Learning-Based Fake Account Detection System: Instagram Case Study
People often create fake social media accounts to express themselves anonymously. However, these fake accounts can harm the reputation of individuals and businesses, resulting in fewer genuine likes and followers. Instagram, a top-rated social media platform often used for business and political engagement, suffers from the negative impacts of these accounts. This highlights the urgent need for a dependable system to identify whether Instagram accounts are genuine. This study investigated several
machine learning models for developing a fake account detection system. Single models, such as support vector machines, nave
Bayes, logistic regression, multilayer perceptron, and ensemble models based on bootstrap aggregating techniques and boosting,
were trained and tested. The training and testing processes were conducted using a 10-fold cross-validation to prevent
overfitting. The test results indicated that the adaptive and gradient boosting models achieved the best accuracy and an F1 score
of more than 92%, with precision surpassing 93%
Power Behind Powerlessness: The Myth of Konco Wingking in Javanese Culture through Damar Kurung Painting
The concept of konco wingking in Javanese culture, meaning friend behind, is associated with the traditional role of Javanese women as wives and mothers based on the ideology of patriarchy and feudalism. This myth is believed to reinforce the subordinate status of Javanese women. By analysing Damar Kurung and using visual ethnography, this study examines the impact of the konco wingking myth on gender relations in Javanese society. This traditional artwork has existed since the 16th century on the northern coast of East Java, Indonesia, and was passed down through an old female painter named Masmundari. She interpreted the myths circulating in Javanese society through artistic practices. This study collected visual data from museums and galleries, and verbal data from interviews and observations. By combining verbal and visual data using Lvi-Strausss structuralist theory of mythology and Foucaults concept of power, this study shows how Javanese women, despite their primarily domestic roles, play important roles in the family, society, and state. These women adopt distinct approaches to achieving empowerment and equality with men, utilizing their feminine characteristics, calmness, and resilience in adversity
MENAMBAH TANPA MEROBOHKAN: RUMODULAR SEBAGAI STRATEGI DESAIN HUNIAN ADAPTIF DAN FLEKSIBEL
