Financial naivety, excessive gaming, and compulsive buying influence cryptocurrency continuance intention: the mediating role of overconfidence and risk tolerance
This study seeks to investigate the investment persistence among individuals who have maintained cryptocurrency holdings in the previous year. Financial naivety, online compulsive buying, and excessive gaming behaviours influence continuance intention, either through overconfidence or risk tolerance. The sample comprised 1,097 participants selected from the five provinces of Indonesias most significant internet user bases. Structural equation modeling is utilised in this study. This study demonstrates that excessive gaming behaviour and financial naivety are associated with continuance intention, either directly or indirectly, via overconfidence or risk tolerance. Investors should be cautious regarding their financial naivety and excessive gaming behaviour, as these elements increase the tendency to be overly optimistic. The findings are consistent with the Dunning-Kruger effect. Conversely, this study fail to substantiate the correlation between compulsive buying and continuance intention. The implication is to provide investors with valuable insights into the psychological effects of specific behaviors on investment decisions
A Sustainable Perspective: Using Machine Learning Approach to Predict the Donation Behavior of Used Smartphones in Indonesia to Extend Smartphones Usage Life
The growing issue of electronic waste (e-waste) in Indonesia, driven by the short lifecycle of smartphones and limited interest in refurbished devices, highlights the need for sustainable disposal alternatives. This study investigates the factors influencing Indonesians willingness to donate used smartphones, promoting e-waste reduction and digital access for underprivileged students in rural areas. Analyzing data from 416 respondents, we found that 57% expressed willingness to donate, with key factors including device obsolescence, age, and involvement in social activities. Machine learning models applied to predict donation behavior accurately predicting outcomes 91.67% of the time. The findings reveal the potential of functional but obsolete smartphones to address educational needs, offering a sustainable solution that bridges the digital divide and supports e-waste reduction. These insights guide strategies for social organizations to enhance donation programs, tackling both behavioral and logistical barriers for greater environmental and social impact

Re-Kreasi Atap: dari Naungan ke Halaman pada Arsitektur Kafe
This paper aims to reflect on the transformation of roofs from merely providing shelter to becoming active thematic spaces in cafe architecture. This study responds to the phenomenon of uniquely designed cafes, which leverage various spatial aspects, including roofs, to enhance the outdoor spatial experience. Roofs are no longer just protective coverings against the weather, but have the potential to be reimagined as imaginative, explorative active spaces. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on case studies in Indonesia within a tropical context to illustrate the diverse roles and functions of roofs. The analysis is conducted by identifying the configuration of roofs as active spaces. The primary objective is to uncover how the application of roofs as active spaces involves various responsive design operations and strategies. The findings of this study highlight three key aspects of the new role of roofs: extended functionality, creative configurations, and functional construction. It is hoped that these insights will inspire cafe architectural designs to explore various other architectural aspects, beyond the traditionally understood limitations of roof functions
INTEGRATION, RELATION, AND RECREATION: RETHINKING ARCHITECTURAL PROGRAMMING
This study rethinks architectural programming as an innovative process, emphasizing the integration of contextual elements, the relational blending of multiple functions, and the adaptive reuse of existing spaces as recreation over time. Moving beyond the traditional understanding of programming as problem-finding-solving, this research redefines it as a dynamic framework bridging theoretical insights and practical design applications. Through a qualitative case study methodology, the paper examines three landmark projects with similar functions by Bjarke Ingels Group—8 House, The Mountain, and Urban Rigger—to explore the transformative potential of programming. The analysis positions programming as an integrative tool that aligns spatial, functional, and contextual dynamics to address both immediate and future architectural challenges. Program mixing with relational functions is conceptualized as a strategic approach that harmonizes diverse functions within a single design, fostering innovative and hybrid solutions. Adaptive reuse, reframed as a multi-time design response, focuses on revitalizing existing structures to meet evolving societal and environmental needs. These case studies illustrate how programming establishes a dynamic framework that enables architects to creatively reimagine constraints as opportunities. By emphasizing the principles of design analysis—realization, organization, and integration—this research contributes to the discourse on programming as a catalyst for architectural innovation and transformation. It proposes a shift in practice that highlights programming as a generative and responsive framework, inspiring a rethinking of architectural methodologies in the face of contemporary challenges
Health Aspect Study on T-36 House Typology Based on Paola Sassis Sustainable Concept and Government Standards
Study of T-36 houses (T-36) are increasingly emerging to improving the quality of life of its occupants, especially in terms of nurturing health condition. However, the spatial typology of T-36 houses is often faced with the challenge of utilizing limited spaces that meet basic requirements of physical comfort and health in housing standard. This study aims to analyze the health aspects of T-36 houses based on sustainable building criteria by Paola Sassi and governmental standards. The health aspect comprises three factors of natural lighting, occupant comfort, and harmony with nature. The study uses descriptive qualitative method by analyzing design variation of T-36 houses that are available in the housing market. This analysis of 10 designs of T-36 houses indicated varying compliance with the three factors identified in the study; some houses met the criteria, while others did not
Harapan Baru, Presiden Baru
Kemenangan memiliki seribu ayah, sementara kekalahan, tragisnya diibaratkan sebagai yatim piatu, sepertinya menemui legalitas. Meskipun MK baru memutus perkara gugatan pasangan Prabowo-Hatta tanggal 22 Agustus 2014, satu per satu anggota Koalisi Merah Putih mulai berangsur mencari selamat sendiri-sendiri.
Performance Evaluation of Simple Regular Buildings using FBD and DDBD Methods with a Consistent Target Drift
The Direct Displacement Based Design (DDBD) method, proposed by
Priestley, is an alternative to the traditional Force-Based Design (FBD)
method for earthquake-resistant design. This study compares the
performance of 4-story and 12-story buildings designed using both FBD
and DDBD with the same target drift of 2%. The differences in base
shear used for the design of the two approaches are discussed. To
evaluate the buildings performance, Nonlinear Dynamic Procedure
(NDP) analysis, or nonlinear time history analysis, was conducted considering
500 and 2500 years return period earthquakes. The results indicate that
the actual drift of both designs deviates from the target drift; however,
the observed drifts remain within the maximum limits set by FEMA
356. Moreover, plastic damages were observed in unexpected areas of
the columns, suggesting that the strong-column weak-beam design concept,
as stipulated by building codes, does not entirely prevent damage to
columns
Minimalist House RumaRB: from Aesthetic to Reduction for Effiency
This paper aims to reflect on the concept of minimalism as a sustainable design strategy, extending beyond the familiar visual aesthetics. This understanding responds to trends in house design in Indonesia, where minimalism is often perceived merely as visual simplification. However, based on studies conducted, the discussion on minimalism in modern architecture lies in the effort to simplify spatial design and elements to achieve potential sustainability efficiency. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, highlighting the design of a simple residential house (RumaRB) with a reduction-based renovation approach. The connection between reduction and minimalism is evident in various aspects of architectural design, including capacity reduction, material use, and design identity. The research question seeks to explore the relationship between minimalist design thinking based on reduction as part of efficiency efforts for sustainability. The findings of this study propose the concept of reduction as a thought process and strategy, encompassing spatial, environmental, and material efficiency through the reduction of form, function, and appearance for sustainability. The ultimate goal of this study is to broaden the understanding of minimalism not merely as an aesthetic strategy, but as a holistic approach linking efficiency and sustainability in architecture
